- Here is my complete guide to Aventurine, the newest Preservation unit in Honkai: Star Rail and our second limited 5 Star Preservation! He brings in damage amping, his OWN DAMAGE! And he also has incredible sustain that should not see you dying. I fully explain his kit, and I also go through Aventurine's best relics, light cones including his signature, main stats, and stat goals. I also give some important energy rotations and provide synergies and teams! Let me know if you're pulling!

7:06 Minor correction. The probablity of landing the debuff atleast once in 7 hits is 99.8%. What you calced is the probability of not landing the debuff exactly 7 times.
Math;
Probabilty of applying (the debuff) = 0.6
Probablity of not applying = 1- 0.6 = 0.4
Probabilty of not applying 7 times = 0.4^7
Probability of applying atleast once = 1-0.4^7=99.8%

I like how Aventurine Buffs Effect Res Substats because before Any Wayward roll into Effect Res was effectively Useless in resisting enemy debuffs because of how Actual Chance is calculated.
Now with 50 Effect Res as everyone base stat, Rolls into Effect Res now have more Value.
Finally Guoba guide time, let's f*cking go!! I've been eagerly waiting for it to see if I'll go sub-DPS route or full sustain. Thank you so much for the in-depth explanation, esp the relics part. E6 DPS Aventurine seems sm fun.
Thanks a lot for the guide, it's been quite a wild ride between all the feelscrafting that people did and the misinformation that spread from it, so I'm glad someone made a video that recaps everything (especially the Def% or Crit Dmg% or Img Dmg% part, some people took that way outta proportion).
Aventurine is EXACTLY what I needed for my Ratio, Topaz, and Sliver Wolf team

That said, while I would *love* a sub-dps Aventurine with still 4k Def, relic farming and I aren't on the best of terms. Like, I used up 25 Fuels just to get *decent* KoP set.

S1 will probably be a great investment tho: Trend will probably not work with Joaqui due to 1 stack per action.
@@aschryu1682Sig is better for my team. With his sig I can run hyperspeed Aventurine while maintaining 4K def. Better for SP generation, faster debuff applications with basic and more frequent ults.
Trend’s good but the defense is dogwater and RNG dependent.
@@shezarr3456 I just tried his S1 for comparison, the sfeer amount of defense compared to trend is just insane, but Acheron's ults do come put slightly slower.

Him and Acheron have been game-changing units for me, I started with Huohuo's banner and my only limited 5 stars before these two was Ruan Mei, so getting a top-tier DPS and a limited 5 star sustainer just feels so good, Argenti's quest was still unfinished for me cause I didn't have very good characters but with these two I finished it with full health so easily even though Aventurine only had around 2500 Def back then (3400 now, still working on him)
And to think I was thinking about skipping Aventurine because I have E1S1 Gepard, that would have been such a big mistake

I like his vibe and I like the idea of his synergies, but man I am already so happy with Fu Xuan and Huohuo (and Bailu and Luocha for that matter), and I have more of a desire for both Robin and Topaz, so I feel like I should skip him if I want a good shot at both of them.
Sounds good :) Huohuo is excellent for the FUA team already with that ATK% & energy IMO
Been avoiding this video until I finally got adventurine for myself! thanks to the free 1600 jades today, I got him! It's also a won 50/50 for once in my life. He is so fun to play! Really maximizes ruan mei's buff throughout the team, and damn the team is indeed immortal even if I built adventurine with sub dps. Would have loved to get the light cone as well but that would be asking for too much right?
I''ll probably get Topaz' light cone next because of the value it provides to all followup teams, especially the ratio one.

Hello Guoba, I have a question:
Does 4-purity palace increase the cap of his shield? By wording, it sounds like it would increase how much shields he gives on cast, but does it also increase the max shield strength cap? Is it 20% increase to every shield generated or 20% increase to the cap?
I personally feel like 4pc knight 2pc salsotto is a perfect mix for him, stronger shields and ult/fua dmg
Incredible how one of his major traces fixes problem I had with Gepard. Bruh just comes in with a shield.
I have Qingqiu, Acheron, and Ratio is my main carries. I have sparkle too. My standard characters are Bronya and Welt (my Clara is still not built). Currently my only sustains that are not Nat and Lynx are Gallagher and fire MC. Would Aventurine be good for my account or do I wait for Fu Xuan?
Also mono Imaginary is funny to build with Ratio Welt Yu Kong and Aventurine xD

I am planning on forming an IPC team when Topaz reruns, right now I have Ruan Mei E0 S0, Ratio E0 S0 and am planning for Topaz E0 S1. With this team does Aventurine want his S1 or is it enough debuffs for Ratio already?
You can always use trend of universal market. Everytime aventurine get hit = debuff chance. He has higher taunt value too.
I hope you will answer to me. So you say that I should chose the Pioneer Diver relics if I have his signature light cone? (I wanna make him hybrid). Also, i dont have many follow up charachers. Does Aventurine still works as a hybrid if I will put him on non follow up team?

In the video about Rainbow Relic sets you talked about hitting breakpoints being more powerful than having a set bonus. But is there a resource or databank somewhere that mentions key breakpoints for all characters? I know certain supports have EHR goals and such, but I'd love to see the whole cast broken down.

@guobacertified Id also really like a breakdown about stats diminishing return, like for example how much is too much atk o dmg% to reach certain diminishing return
@@M4RK0G91 all stats always have diminishing returns, it's just a product of math (1+1 is a 100% increase, while 2+1 is a 50% increase) -- what matters is when exactly the *opportunity cost* of x amount of additional stats is high enough to be worth choosing something else. for example, choosing an atk orb over a dmg orb on a dps because you run them with two units that give a lot of dmg%, enough so that more atk% is better than more dmg%
the latter might be an interesting video, covering situations that break the mold in terms of how you might normally build them due to one reason or another, but it'd probably be impossible to do a video just about diminishing returns
I was only going for E0S1 but then I got another Aventurine in 20 pulls so now I'm here enjoying my E1S1 Aventurine. I'm a little tempted to go for E2 though, but Robin might be much worth that extra 12% all type res down. That way, I can put the IPC with a Penacony singer so that Boothill can enjoy having Ruan Mei on the team. I'm definitely going broke for this few patches, but it's all worth it.
For an acheron team what is better? 161 speed and no ERR rope or 134+ speed with ERR rope (in both of these I reach 4k plus def)
The goal is to get Ult asap, but idk what can give it faster between being fast or having err rope
Gepard with Trend if you want to get Ult back fastest
I use bronya LC on both sparkle & E1 bronya.
Is it enough for both to skill spam on Unlimited Bladeworks Teams now?
(for non blade SP -1 DPS like Jing Yuan/Argenti)
I think another thing worth noting is that Aventurine's follow-up shields refresh the shield cooldown. So unless your dps can somehow go 3-4 times before his turn without triggering his follow-up, then you don't have to worry about the shield expiring.
Great video, might pull him on rerun tho to enable my double AF Arlan team. Boothill is currently in my "wanted" list so I have to get him first.

Well it’s not frequent but he’s still a sustain after all, there’s footage of them in the BG. I think the guaranteed cc resist is more important rn until we get some magic 50 eff res FUA support for JY for immunity
I got him and he works so well with my Dr. Ratio. Now I have my 2 premium sustains (the other being Fu Xuan) for MOC. 😄
Yo Guoba, this is unrelated but i watched the pokke account review recently. You said you wanted to e6 Sam when he is released, do you think you will still do it after the 2.1 story?
I still love SAM but the story didnt change my pull decision, rather the fact that an e6 5* will ruin my fun in the game, so sticking with E2S1 probably, E2 is always a banger on big DPS releases

I want to run him as more of a DPS leaning sustain. Would 4pc Pioneer be best for his damage potential even though I'm not running him on a debuff centric team? He has a debuff on his ult, sig LC and e2. Or should I do 2pc knight 2pc wastelander/duke/pioneer?

I managed 4300 def with just a single %def main (rope). Thank you, speed boots with 15%def! You WERE trash on DHIL, but you and a lucky 13%def on a head piece meant I could go cDmg/img dmg on chest and orb. Yes, S1 was required for this, but goddamn is he cracked, almost 120% Cdmg without any other in-battle buffs.
I do wonder about him, very new player I don't have much for sustain besides the 4* healers but did get a Luocha, however my only other *5 are Welt and the free Ratio, so im more then covered on imaginary damage. But then, should I just like, hope I get Gepard for some varriety and also trying to sort out my ST damage with the other banner?

Aventurine is amazing and fixes my account. Didn't have a 5 star sustain and yeah, he's broken.
My core team is Acheron, Pela, Sparkle and Aventurine. Acheron can be a glass cannon and Aven solves that. And it's stupid broken in SU. I have E0S1 Acheron and with the Preservation path, I hit my 1st 1million damage ult.

I know they do different things but I'm lost if I try aventurine or fu xuan I start not long ago on black swan banner, I have acheron, black swan and Himeko, I don't know if I wait for fu xuan rerun witch probably will come next patch or the other patch after the next since she has not have rerun for a while, or if I pull for aventurine

After scraping up every last pull I barely dragged myself to soft pity and in the spirit of all or nothing, the gambler told me "Stand proud, 50/50. You were strong." and arrived to shield me from the sure-hit effect of the declined credit card domain

Is Topaz Ratio Aveturine Ruan Mei really possible without Topaz's or Aventurine's signature LC? Because I feel like Ratio would be far stronger if I use Silver Wolf instead of Ruan Mei, because otherwise I can only have more than 2 debuffs on a target without ultimates...
I'd be interested in how much more damage some example teams with Aventurine do over the same teams with some of the other sustainers over some relevant time period. That would be some good info to properly evaluate him vs. the other sustains.

I think this is the first sustain that does not need both energy regeneration and speed. You can argue with Speed for the skill point (but that also depend in the team he is), but really, you just need y
to check if his shield is goona fall and in that case you press the skill botton. Then he does damage. Now, in my account, i have HouHou and Fu Xuan, so i dont really need him, but i dont have any shielder and in the future, i bet there will be other boss like SAM, that negate healing, so, i am going to do a 10 pull on him

I will use Aventurine in an Acheron team with BS Kafka(or Pela and Welt) and Dr Ratio alongside Topaz (will pull for her in the next patch). I have ToUM which is usefull for both of the teams. I have 600 starlight for 1 shop purchase and I am at 60 pity rate on the weapon banner, I will have @180 total pulls at the end of 2.2 phase 1 banner (where Topaz is supposed to rerun). What would be more beneficial in general?
1. Get his LC now, to be even more usefull than ToUM in both of the teams but only get E0 Topaz in the next banner, and buy Sleep like the dead for her?
2. Use ToUM on Aventurine and get E1 Topaz and buy Sleep like the Dead.
3. Keep using ToUM and buy MoV as alternative(maybe to also be used on SU) and get E0S1 Topaz?
P.S I am actually more concerned about charging Acheron Ulti faster and applying more debuffs for Ratio rather than actual damage numbers

Since Aventurine is a shield unit with additional dmg capabilities, I was really wanting to know about how much team dmg% he adds to, in some popular teams.
I want to know if the dmg increase is relevant to consider when pulling for him.

What happens when one or more members of the team get a DoT debuff does it eat away at the shield or does it deal dmg bypassing the shield?
Shields block DMG, including DoTs.
