Whoever compiled this list obviously knows nothing about sunglasses. ,Out of these 10 "best brands" only 3 are sunglass brands and no one who knows anything about sunglasses would consider Oakley as the best. Where's Persol, Oliver Peoples, Randolph Engineering, all companies that only make high quality sunglasses

Also, Randolph Engineering is not owned by Luxottica, and Persol still make their sunglasses in Italy and has not changed its manufacturing process for decades, even if they are owned by Luxottica. Also, to say that I support a monopoly is a ridiculous generalisation, like saying I support the greed of corporate America if I have ever bought a cup of coffee from Starbucks.
This is not correct at all. First of all, most of these brands can be considered exactly the same as they almost all fall under the same parent company, Luxotica. Secondly, as Matias pointed out, Serengeti did not make this list which is ridiculous. Most of this list is generic stuff labelled with designer names, all of which are Luxotica brands.
7 of the 10 are fashion brands, not real sunglass companies. Oakley are 90% made in China, so rethink that one. Only one real hit here with the Maui's. That aside, Maybe try a Persol, Randolph engineer, Oliver people, serenguetti, maybe this video was made in China!?
