Best songwriter the uk ever produced and the most underrated too. His words are so close to what actually happened in the world and the musicians we're as good as any. JJ the best
was at this show, nice and up close. Joe was at his snarling best. band super tight.
This was the music I would skateboard to in 78-79. It sounds better now than ever. I'm 59 and have not listen to this in over 30 years. It's now on my playlist forever.
Never gets old for me either and I've got a few years on you... lol... Glad you enjoy!
Probably the greatest song writer Britain has produced, definitely the most underrated artist ever. Joe is the man
The Look Sharp album is one of the ten I want with me if stranded on a deserted island for life. No better writing, musicianship or emotional energy exists in the universe.
SPOT ON STEVE
This is the first time I've ever heard Different For Girls. So grateful!
The Look Sharp album changed my life. GREAT album!
not my life but it was a good time and songs

Saw Joe's "I'm The Man" tour stop in Minneapolis in Oct. 1979 and his "Night and Day" tour in Sept. 1982. He never got the attention he deserved. Very underrated performer.
you are so right~!!!! VERY UNDERRATED !!!!
Saw the "Night and Day" and "Big World" tours in Montreal. Two of the best of over 200 I saw over the years.
I WAS AT THIS SHOW!
I celebrated my 22nd Birthday at this show. 🥳🥳

😴😴😴😴😴
I was not at the show but did listen to it live on WNEW. It sounds as good now as it did then.
Early JJ' way of singing was full of sublime anger
Saw this show in Toronto. The opening band was The Members. Both bands were amazing!!!
Where did they play? El Mocambo?
@@mikestevenson576 Just checked the ticket. They played at the International Centre on Airport Rd. Sat. Oct 13th. 1979.
@@harrybaran2683 Wow, thanks! Had no idea that facility has been around that long.
Life changing. I know every word of this fantastic album. Sad? Probably, but I don't give a fuck.
Incredibly sad 👉
As I said, I don't give a fuck!
We were sick in of 8 to 12 to 20 minute songs, going back to earlier days of rock!!!
Love the Fact That I'm The Man was written during "Look Sharp". This was a Radio Concert to Launch Look Sharp.
Joe Jackson kicks serious ass!!
Love it! Thank you for the upload!
seen him there that week, Joe at his snarling best
This is TOPS
The quintenssential 80's sound, somebody say I'm crazy.

His bassist blows me away every time I hear him.
Joe wasn't above depreciating himself. That's what I love about him.
look sharp c'est trop bien
1st saw beat crazy tour central park n.y c..
Good shite!
You gotta' have no illusions.
How did you find this. Amazing audio. Thank you.
Recorded it off FM radio that night. The tape held up well over the years.
@@htaylor2004 omg. That’s insane. I was in high school when he was at the Bottom Line.
tempo way too fast
It's a live show. Sometimes the adrenaline takes over
Perhaps you are listening too slowly.
Kane....Co...Kane.
I've always felt live shows were way too fast. Maybe it is the adrenaline. Hey, it's NYC 1979... He's a little pumped! Came out of nowhere and now at the Bottom Line? I'm sure he soiled himself, and was happy to do it! Always loved JJ. Class act.
