    Thank you for such an honest and candid reaction. The last part of this song was actually added after the first bit was complete. Ren did an interview with the reactor Knox Hill, and they spoke about Ren's friend Joe who had been gone 13 years. Ren went and added the last part soon after that conversation, and finally felt like the song was finished. He recorded it as it came, no retakes, just let it flow. ❤
    As you have studied psychology I think you might like to watch the 1m subscriber video Ren made on defining success. He spoke about acceptance, determination, and compassion. It was uplifting and inspiring.

    Hey you! Just wanted to let you know that Rens new video drops live with him in chat at the same time as this in 45 min. You probably won't have anyone until that's over. He always plays the new video watches with everyone than talks to people. You should come. I'm not trying to be unkind by going to that bc a live chat would be awesome with you. I recommend checking out Sick Boi (you've actually seen a few seconds of that song in this video) and The Tale Of Jenny & Screech (FULL version- prepare yourself for another rollercoaster of emotions and an absolute genius when it comes to storytelling!)

    Suggestions for more deep ren is sick boi, the tales of jenny and screech (the full version), chalk outlines, how to be me, money game pt 1&2, for joe
    Or if you want to be boggled more check out his busking sessions with his band the big push

    I didn't see anyone explain this song in the comments so here goes: The first half of the song is about Ren himself. Ren said that he was seriously considering ending his life because of his health issues and seeing no way out from them. Then (the 2nd part of the song) his best friend Joe killed himself. It was around Christmas time when they were in their early 20's. Ren got a call in the middle of the night that Joe had called them to say goodbye. Ren knew where Joe was so he ran to try to stop him, calling his phone constantly. About 2 minutes before Ren got to the bridge, Joe's phone went straight to voicemail. Meaning that the phone ended up in the river. Ren blames himself for not getting to Joe in time.
    Ren then got to experience what suicide does to everyone who loved that person, and he decided that he could never put his friends and family through that. Joe literally saved Ren's life by ending his own.

    Great empathic reaction! The last part always gets to me, especially knowing the story behind it. I wouldn't do the story justice myself (probably get some of the facts wrong), but he talked about the events in one or two of several interviews he did with reaction channels: Black Pegasus, Rosalie Reacts, Knox Hill and Justin Hawkins Rides Again. Unfortunately I can't remember which interview or interviews it was in, but all of the interviews are some of the best I've heard with any artist. Ren is just a very interesting person all around.

      It's the Knox Hill interview with Ren where Ren mentioned it , and afterward went back and added the end section of this song because he felt the first section felt incomplete ...

      Just yesterday I was talking to my sister and we weren’t sure if the word was empathic or empathetic haha (yes we’re both Croatian but speak to each other in English for fun hah)

    • @deepbluehue3
      @deepbluehue3 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I googled it ... BOTH !
      " Empathic is usually just a variant of empathetic, which means characterized by empathy. Some dictionaries, especially American ones, list empathic as the standard word and empathetic as the variant, but while the shorter word is indeed the original, empathetic has prevailed-probably due to analogy with sympathetic, with which it is often closely associated-and is now about five times as common as empathic in newswriting, blogs, and mainstream books from throughout the English-speaking world." @@GaliReax

      @ClearTheRubble7 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@GaliReax After you mentioned that, I had to look it up, thinking maybe I used the wrong word. Turns out both are correct and mean the same thing, but empathic is slightly older.
      Wow, Croatian, cool! My mom was from Germany and was an East German refugee with a lot of Polish and Lithuanian ancestry, since she grew up in East Prussia. I was born in West Berlin and grew up in the US in a town on Lake Michigan with a large Croatian population. There was even a building called Croatian Hall on the main street, and my first boss was Croatian (last name Chopich--probably an anglicized spelling of the original name).

    Alot of them make me cry everyone i hear them too! This one every time when he starts the breathing and moves into the piano section when he starts talking to Jo. There is another live version of the for joe part with Ren playing piano . Just beautiful.
    That was really nice you reaching out to those that need help. Good on you for trying to help others.
    And you are right i think. Time does change things and people can feel better.
    Depression isn't just feeling sad though. It is a much darker lonely and heart broken deep well that is very hard to climb out of once you're in it. Thankfully i managed to pull myself out many years ago, but i really fell for those that are lost in that dark hopelessness.

    " I see the world through Fibonacci sequences and double dutch "
    In mathematics, the Fibonacci sequence is a sequence in which each number is the sum of the two preceding ones. IT IS COMPLETELY PREDICTABLE AND MAKES SENSE
    In the U.K. ' Double Dutch is a slang term for unintelligible or garbled speech or language ' - Origin from a time when German language was termed ' Dutch ' ...in the U.K. in the distant past hearing German spoke was considered ' double dutch ' to some Brits ...
