I love this song, thanks so much for your great reaction to it. It is a surprise to many, but, she really is experimenting with musical sounds, she really always has. I have also listened to many many songs without really paying attention to the lyrics, lol. Especially in my much younger days, nothing wrong with that, it is just that Aurora's lyrics are never frivolous, but it is definitely not a requirement to dive into the lyrics, just enjoy the musical ride she provides.

    Very nice reaction
When you commented in the beginning of the song, I was thinking: “Just wait, just wait” ;)
I instantly loved this song, and it’s been on repeat since it was released

This is a real banger by Aurora. Her voice is strong..low..high..amazing..And the lyrics are fantastic as always. Thank you for reacting to Aurora. Cheers from Sweden.

I can never understand a song in just one listen. It’s like riding a coaster for the first time. So much to take in. By the 10th time your like, look at all the houses I can see from up here. But I just read the lyrics after two days of listening and as I suspected she written another great poem for those with internal pain and wrapped it in something different.

    Great reaction, my man! 🩸👍🫀🤟🩸
I had a feeling you were going to like that chorus! Can't wait to see this live.
I can relate to you with lyrics. I'm real bad about loving a song and not really paying attention to the lyrics. Though with Aurora, her lyrics are so good, and her storytelling is so good in her live performances, it's hard not to pay attention to what she's singing.

You know, I do the exact same thing as you. At first, second and 10th listen I don't really focus on the lyrics. To me it is first and foremost about the music and the vocal performance. THEN the lyrics. Nothing wrong in that tbh, but as a reactor I understand the need of letting people know 👍👍👍

I have usually the same, I usually listen to words and meaning in following listens, not on first listen. There are exception with some Aurora songs (especially more acoustics) because of her great storytelling, emotions and voice clarity, but it was not a case with this one :). BTW: I love whole Aurora discography but I had a little mixed feeling about this particular song after first listens, especially comparing to her other stuff. Maybe partially it is because it has different style (but it should not be so surprising with Aurora, as she has a lot of variations in her music + I feel she has fun with exploring her music and different music styles - very creative person :) ) . Anyway i like it even if it will not be around tops in my Auroras songs ranking:).
Ps. And of course the meaning of the Aurora song is never prosaic.

Cool! Took me by a surprise as she often does. Underwhelmed at first listen, but it's been steadily growing, and it just gets better. I Actually like that in songs. They tend to be the ones staying with me longer. That being said, I also look forward to a live and even stripped/acoustic version one day 😊. I listen to lyrics, and especially with slower music. Maybe a bit less with rock/metal. Took me some listens with this one though, as the music was such a surprise. Her stuff is always very well produced.

Hey Bud! Great reaction again! For me, as much as I like this song, I just can't wait for her live performances of it, and her acoustic version(s). This is way more electronically produced than we normally get from her. A nice change, but not a direction I think she will be going too much. Just my 2 cents 🙂 Take care! Love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥

My two cents worth of interpretation: The song takes place inside the mind of a mortally wounded warrior. We hear an angelic voice beckoning the warrior to let go of life. At one point we hear the deep voice of the warrior defiantly declare: "But, I refuse to die...". These words are echoed by the angelic voice; perhaps mocking or sympathetic. The percussion is like a heartbeat, until the end - when it becomes arrhythmic (heart failure). Death takes our material selves to be returned to the earth. Dust to dust.
