He can belt till G5..but only showed once...he is a Tenor, and the most amazing vocal abilities he has is switching different tones so easily, quickly and correctly, he is a master of using his own voice to color the music. He knows what emotions his tones gonna deliver to audience. A true artist.

A bit of his background info: HUA Chenyu (HUA is a family name), aka Hua Hua 花花, 28 years old, is a singer-songwriter/composer in China. He is well known for his powerful vocals, dramatic stage performance and talents in composing. He plays piano, guitar, flute, drum...etc. He has very solid classical background but he is a rock star who can also do rap, pop, ballad, opera, musical....etc. Huahua has the power of making any songs his own! He re-arranged pretty much all the songs he sang on the "Singer 2018" stage. He's just incredibly versatile & full of artistry and creativity!!! You should see the song Dad I'm home. It's literally heartbreaking but something people should listen to because of the deep message. Hua Chenyu is one of the best actors you'll see on stage. I got excited when you noticed the switch from his stage persona to his off stage personality. So many people miss that. I always watch for it and am disappointed if the video cuts off too quick to witness it.

So for the 2018 season that Hua n Jesse J were in, given the show agenda to extend to and attract foreign stars participation and Jessie J was the lst foreign international superstar to positively respond to the participation, any wonder the chinese wouldnt return the favour to her ?
He is 29. On Singer 2018, came in second to Jessie J. Both he and Dimash came in second, which tells me that is where the best end up on that show. He is extremely talented and creative. A w październiku 2017 zaczęłam studia sinologiczne, więc w celu rozwinięcia umiejętności językowych zaczęłam oglądać program :). Hua to jeden z moich ulubionych artystów, jakich tam odkryłam. Ja też mam rockowe zacięcie, a rap polubiłam dzięki niemu ;). Najbardziej imponuje mi jednak jego zdolność do aranżacji i kompozycji, a także sposób, w jaki inkorporuje wokal w melodię. Wyczytałam gdzieś, że Hua uważa swój głos za instrument, nie mniej ani bardziej ważny niż inne w utworze. I cannot believe you have by-passed Hua Chenyu, he is one of the most innovative and diverse performers around. Actually the original was a masterpiece rock song performed by one of China leading rock bands in the 1980s , whose leader Cui Jian wrote the song. Cui Jian is called the godfather of China rock music Hua didnt just do a cover of the song. He totally remade the song into an epic masterpice of performing art which he performed with just a piano. All his other songs in The SInger 2018 and other shows all show the genius in him. Btw , this show is no longer called I am A Singer. It has been renamed simply to The Singer since 2017. So Hua n Jessie J took part in the 2nd season of The Singer in 2018.

Hua Chenyu is one of the best actors you'll see on stage. I got excited when you noticed the switch from his stage persona to his off stage personality. So many people miss that. I always watch for it and am disappointed if the video cuts off too quick to witness it.

Hua Chenyu is the only singer/songwriter that is so dynamic and vocally intriguing. He becomes the song and his voice is an amazing musical instrument. He is definitely different but in a good way, he is more than a singer he’s an artist who paints a lyrical landscape with his vocals rather than a paintbrush.

the final ranking shouldnt matter as anyone who can make it to the finals in this top class 13 episodes long competition of the titans are already champions, and the top in the business. So for the finals , it is just matter of the show agenda n interest that ultimately determine which of the 7 finalists would get the coveted No 1 title at every season. So for the 2018 season that Hua n Jesse J were in, given the show agenda to extend to and attract foreign stars participation and Jessie J was the lst foreign international superstar to positively respond to the participation, any wonder the chinese wouldnt return the favour to her ?
He is 29. On Singer 2018, came in second to Jessie J. Both he and Dimash came in second, which tells me that is where the best end up on that show. He is extremely talented and creative. Much of his music comes out of his early life like Fake Monk. Recommend Nunchucks, it combines pop, rock, rap and Classical Chinese opera. Also, I Don’t Care, his iconic song.

A w październiku 2017 zaczęłam studia sinologiczne, więc w celu rozwinięcia umiejętności językowych zaczęłam oglądać program :). Hua to jeden z moich ulubionych artystów, jakich tam odkryłam. Ja też mam rockowe zacięcie, a rap polubiłam dzięki niemu ;). Najbardziej imponuje mi jednak jego zdolność do aranżacji i kompozycji, a także sposób, w jaki inkorporuje wokal w melodię. Wyczytałam gdzieś, że Hua uważa swój głos za instrument, nie mniej ani bardziej ważny niż inne w utworze. Nie jest on "najlepszym", najbardziej technicznym piosenkarzem, jakiego znam, ale jest unikalny i świetny z niego muzyk - plus ta sceniczna pewność siebie!

I cannot believe you have by-passed Hua Chenyu, he is one of the most innovative and diverse performers around. You will like all of his performances from the Singer, glad you found one with the lyrics though. I would also recommend Tengri's Heaven and Henry Huo The Trouble with beauty from the same show. The Chinese certainly show TWB how a show should be put on.
Also there is another Chinese show called Super Vocal, you must see Gao Tianhe singing She is my sin, original by Nightwish who you may of heard of.

Actually the original was a masterpiece rock song performed by one of China leading rock bands in the 1980s , whose leader Cui Jian wrote the song. Cui Jian is called the godfather of China rock music Hua didnt just do a cover of the song. He totally remade the song into an epic masterpice of performing art which he performed with just a piano. All his other songs in The SInger 2018 and other shows all show the genius in him.
Btw , this show is no longer called I am A Singer. It has been renamed simply to The Singer since 2017. So Hua n Jessie J took part in the 2nd season of The Singer in 2018.
