Colin McRay is my idol for the rally racing, i remember when a was 4 years old i was watching the WRC of 2001 with my dad. I Couldnt belive that those manuevers can be done on a car. Now im 15 and now he's dead , but he stills surprise me like the first time. RIP Colin , you still the BEST!

In the BBC documentary about Colin McRae they actually brought ken block in to speak about him. Block has a massive amount of respect for him. The difference is Colin is more for WRC and Ken is more gymkhana/hoonigan

@honesty49 i'd rather watch 100 hours of Colin driving than 15 minutes of Loeb. Granted, Loeb is insanely quick and quite possibly the best of all time but lacks that little bit of Flair that rallying used to be known for. Maybe it's just that the cars have gotten that much better to drive but I miss seeing a car getting sideways and leaping into the air. Ahhhh the good old days.

No problem getting 700+ bhp in a 1600cc engine.The WRC engines in todays cars are based on the road engine,BUT everything inside the engine are changed to parts that can cope with the high turbopressure.It's only the shell of the engine block that are used.When Formula1 used turbo engines the 1500cc BMW engine produced 1500 BHP,so getting 700 bhp out of a 1600cc engine aren't any problem att all.
Well... I agree with you but not at all because Walter Röhrl is one driver who has really good car control and skill The pikes Peak record in 1989 ( dunno when exactly) was an amazing performance with a Car which was a lot more difficult to drive than those modern rally cars
I grew up playing colin mcrae rallies on playstation and watching him race. he was an insane driver...But see how unpredictable life is...He had so many crushes in so many races..yet he died in a helicopter crash with his son. Rest in peace both of you.

Ken block actually raced against Colin in 2006 I believe when Colin flipped the Hawkeye and lost out by a whole second only!
