@@00buck2 well I can tell you over the 1k I've shot out of my colt... hasn't jammed yet and I've used all sorts of ammo. I might have got the opposite of a lemon.
I feel the Browning 1911 / 22lr is the better design. It has a more compact design which I feel is a better size for the smaller 22lr caliber. Like the Smith & Wesson 22 Compact it also is similar in size and seems to be a really good size for running the 22lr. Those both have very light weight slides.
Interesting thoughts. I never owned the browning but I did rent it once. I got rid of my Smith Compact and replaced it with my 3rd fullsize MP22 in mint condition from a pawnshop. I may have to revisit the browning 1911-22. I love my buckmarks. Thanks for the comment
I wanted to ask you about your blue jay you helped with. When you released it did other blue jays act friendly towards it? I’ve had one for 1 1/2 wks and it’s family is in my backyard but I don’t know how or when to release it. Any advice would be so appreciated. 🙏🏽❤️🇺🇸
JAM4 thank you for responding. Unfortunately once it was free it wasn’t afraid of other animals and my neighbor told me the bad news. He passed on my wedding day the 4th of July. That was the last day we saw it. Our neighbor, an amazing firefighter, told us when I brought it up last week. The family is still around. Wouldn’t have been able to stop it. But thank you for sharing your bluejay. It really was SO helpful. WWG1WGA ❤️🇺🇸
Have You Shot A Beretta M9-22 (Umarex)? I Just Want To Know How The Trigger On The Colt Feels Compared. I Like To Shoot Far (130Yards) And The Trigger Is Everything When Trying To Hit Something That Far lol.
0:15 The SIG is not really a clone, it's what auto industries call "badge engineering", that is the SIG is a rebadged GSG. The Colt isn't a Colt either, it's Umarex with a "Walther made" stamp, and Umarex owns the Walther :)
When my GSG shoots good it is fun to shoot BUT it will jam out of the blue and failure to feed.Too often as far as im concerned. Always on edge it will jam at Any second. Like I said great fun when it shoots but for me it jams way to often I would not by this gun again.Picky on ammo is an understatement and I try to buy CCI 1280fps or more which is hard to find these days.
I didnt know I did that. Probably bad habbit. Im self taught and never really had training. I will work on that. It doesn't seem to effect my range shooting but could in a self defense situation I guess.
@@JAM4MORE When you do that you can not be sure your finger returns to the exact same spot on the trigger shoe. Your more likely to pull shots. Try not to blink when the shot goes off.👍

colt looks like the best performing gun, and easiest take down but, the mags cost twice as much as the gsg. gsg i keep hearing it really needs to be broken in but even then idk if it even really works that much better.
The colt is the only one that had zero failures. I just got one about a month ago. I love it!
Usually my sig runs better than it did. I probably need to clean it.

@@Buzzkillinggton do u still recommend colt 1911 made by Walther ? Im thinking of buying, rail gun or gold cup ?
Good informative information. Thank you!
@@Morehills840 you're welcome. Thanks for the nice compliment.
I have a GSG 1911-22 with over 10k rounds fired, last week at the range I fired two hundred rounds CCI AR and Aqilia super extra with zero failures!
That is awesome. My understanding is its the same gun as the sig. If you like 1911's this is a must have.
Ammo always matters with any .22. Even my venerable S&W Model 41's are picky about ammo.
This is true
1911's of some of the best triggers at all all

I haven't shot one although I want one some day. The colt trigger isn't awesome but its not bad. I bet it could be worked to be really nice though.

The Sig and the gsg is the same gun. Ati gsg Sig are exactly the same. Gsg is actually the OEM for that gun.
Yep. True
Sig and gsg are owned by brothers.
The Sig is made by GSG. It is a GSG with Sig branding.

Most 22lr you can either get a good one or a dud. Make sure its lubed really good. I find that helps. Also 22lr get dirty fast and like to be clean.
Be sure to hold tight, a lose grip can cause failure to feed or jam.
Cci Mags are what they were designed for. You're welcome
I was having problems with mine. Had to polish the slide and rails. Was over spray on them from the factory runs much better now.
Curious...Why are you completely removing your finger off the trigger after every shot.? not good

Distance is 7 Yards?
@@Bluesmann1 yes.
What conversion kit on your Colt? I've never known Colt to make a .22L:r dedicated 1911 with non adjustable sights?
It's a dedicated 22lr made by umerex/walther.
22lr is most common round in the world. They would be foolish not to make a dedicated 22.
