I have a tan GSG that I have seriously modified. I replaced the necessary parts to remove the magazine disconnect safety and then I added some better grips and sights. I have well over 5000 rounds through my GSG of mostly CCI mini-mags. Fantastic little plinker. I really like mine.
You can uninstall that magazine disconnect, you can use most 1911 style sights. I'm pretty sure that the finish is an anodized finish. My dad bought a Sig/GSG 1911-22, when he passed away I got his gun collection. I like the one that I've got, I've had my neices out shooting at the farm but I plan on buying a few of them so that I can teach them to shoot along with other new shooters and also this way I don't beat up my dad's gun. I love the fact that they're super cheap but I hate the fact that you can never find the extra magazines anywhere for them. I think that I've got a handful of mags but still would like more especially if I plan on buying a few more in the future.
I picked up my Mauser 1911 3 months ago online for $311 with a white frame. I've never seen a white pistol before so the color of the gun sold me. It's a great plinker and is pretty accurate but is fussy with some bulk High Velocity ammo. The one that runs the best is CCI Blazer 38 grain round nose. It ran 200 rounds without issue. The worst was Aguila Super Extra round nose. I get a double feed about once every 1-2 magazines with the Aguila.
I’d say it’s a good deal. These guns are fairly decent and there is parts available. They are heavily imported by many different companies so they are prolific
The funny thing is the front serrations are very useable but in 22 the resistance to pull the slide back is almost nonexistent. So your really don’t need them , but hey they look cool
Hi 22LR good defense ?? What is the best 22LR ammunition for defense in 2024? Which manufacturer makes a good Colt 1911 22lr model in 2024? Quality Weapon accuracy Durability Regards Arthur Warsaw
There is a lot of questions there lol, I’ll try my best. 22 lr for defense is always questionable, now I sure wouldn’t want to get in front of it. Also shot placement plays a big role as well. That being said, 22 can definitely be used for defensive roles. Just temper your expectations with effectiveness. For defensive ammo I’d probably stick with cci, good track record for reliability and can get hotter loads. For a 22 1922 manufacturer the GSG definitely works good and I’ve had success with it. Also the newer hammerli looks promising. I would stay away from the Chiappa clone as quality just isn’t there. A nice adjustable sight on the rear can really help with accuracy if it needs fine tuning. Hope I could help, if you got more let them fly. Cheers, conklikov

Hey, I'm thinking about getting one of those, I'm between the Mauser or the GSG, do you still have it? any recommendations?
@@scartoazulMauser is a safer imo, GSG can be hit or miss
Ya I believe they are the exact same. I’m curious on the new hammerli more so seems solid
Where can you find additional magazines?
You can check blue line solutions website or really any gsg 22 1911 magazine search on the big sites like Brownells or midway usA
How many rounds does it hold ? Listed for 299 at my local store.
10 rds
Saw one recently at a pawn shop for $269. Comes with one mag. Do you think it's worth it? I've been burned on used guns before.
Good deal for sure!!

the trigger has 3 holes in it? Do you know what a trigger with holes is called?
A trigger with lightening cuts
Their called skeletonized triggers and company’s also make skeletonized hammers Wilson Combat is a company that makes them if your interested
The only thing I see different from the Sig/GSG is your Mauser has seriations at the front of the slide. My Sig doesn’t.
Yup. Basic GSG 1911-22 re-branded for Mauser.
