Rick Masters was President of the Cross Country Pilots Association in Owens Valley, California in the middle 1980s, at the height of hang gliding's pioneering XC fever, He was awarded the 1982 Gray Prize for his documentary film "Aoli, Comet Clones & Pod People." He is among the most prominent and outspoken critics of modern paragliding. His website is USHGA.AERO/masters/
