      Best I can do, Jerry, is click "like". Been subbed for a long time.
      You know, I used to think your wife was a special lady, with you being so crazy. Now I see she's as crazy as you are.
      I love it. Xander's got great parents.
      Gotta finish watching the video now. Personally, I'm hoping for a temporary glitch where you'll only be able to get 1950s black and white sitcoms for at least a couple days. Sheesh! Modern tech!

    2:58 had me rolling....... Hahahaaaaaa, the fact you had to ask if she was open to that.....omg....I lost it.... Hahaaaa :)
    Mrs. Barnacules a.k.a Muscles........ Hahahaa
    .
    Small NOTE: As my aunt is watching and she is a professional carpenter. She says that if the builder built the building properly studs are 16-inches apart.
    She says when you start at any corner of the building then measure 16" inches, you should find the dead center of another stud. Some architects have studs 24-inches, but the norm is 16-inches.
    She says those are the only 2 numbers allowed in the USA for placing and framing a building by US construction laws.
    My Aunt also says that doing the hammer way is a bit dangerous when placing TV on the wall like you did. As when you drilled, you could most likely just be getting the corner of the stud.
    and not dead center.
    So measuring from the corner 16-inches out will get you dead center of the stud. - "If the constructor/contractor did his job properly."
    This is after she is watching you drill and saying -->> "Omg what if he is just catching the corner of the stud.?"..... LOL then she forced me to post this note post....lol

    Jerry, we got the 65" version of this t.v and shortly after, the connect cable FUBAR'ed and it took a local Samsung rep to come out to the house and replace it free of charge (a $250 value) because it would just go into a boot loop and never recover. So, I feel ya on that part. It's a great technology and I think you'll see a vast improvement over your projector setup. Awesome video man, and glad your Wifey got to assist in this one. Samsung TVs come with special spacers in the box, then you only use a be size of bolt. I install these professionally, and it was fun watching you do this

    • @919GUY
      @919GUY 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Spot on Matthew, nothing worse than having to explain to a client that they need proprietary spacers. Sir, they were in the box when you bought the TV but you probably trashed them when you tossed the box by the curb. Next time I recommend keeping the box and all contents inside.

    • @DutchyMC
      @DutchyMC 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@919GUY People are like that, expecting sales people to tell them that when they buy the tv. Samsung is a bit shitty still though, because although they provide the special spacers in the box, the M8x45mm bolts are still missing from retail TVs.

      no it’s not... had 95% of the weight on one arm since I grabed it with my right hand centered at the bottom and the left hand at the front top, to balance the weight... then pushed it up with the right hand and with the left tried to feel where to hang the TV on the wall mount... the scary part was to let the TV out of my hands because I was afraid that the hooks weren’t in the wall mount... fortunately they were and the not cheap TV didn’t fall down

Luckily for us, we were hanging ours a little bit lower so we didn’t have as much of a problem lifting the TV to mount it. While I love watching all of your videos, having your wife in this one with you makes it just that much more entertaining,

    I have sanus tv mount as well. It’s the smaller one, but comes with exactly the same screws\bolts. When I drilled mine one went into stud, others into plaster (only found out when I moved it). It did not budge an inch and was rock solid. Very secure TV mounts, definitely buy from this brand again.

    Not the wrong way, but two things; one for others out there hanging large TVs don't use the "drywall anchors" in drywall, they are for concrete it will probably say as much in the manual. Two when putting on the hook mounts the adjustment knobs should go to the out side, when the TV is mounted you won't be able to access them to tighten/loosen them from the bottom of the TV.

    Wranglerstar would so disapprove of that tool set. You should do more videos with your wife! She seems so nice and funny.

    I just use magnets...Find the drywall screw and or nail locations used by the builder. rear earth magnets work great for that

      Great tip, also try spax power lags instead of lag bolts next time. So much faster to mount stuff to studs.
