  • After the first test of the rock bucket, I felt like the cutting edge needed a little attention. I grind down the cutting edge to make it bite into the ground better then test it out on a rocky tree line.
You can see the first test if the rock bucket in the link below.

Thanks for the shoutout good sir. The removable cutting edge will not only allow easy teeth, but will also save the main edge from wearing out too quick. 👍

I have been thinking about it and I think the removable tooth bar is the way to go. Thank you for watching and the suggestion!

Great video 😁👍I liked the pic and pic shot. Also the add on tooth bar would be a great addition. Best of both edges. 🚜💨🍳

Thank you! After thinking about it I'm leaning toward making a removable tooth bar. Now the question is do I buy one or build one? lol Thanks for watching and for your suggestion!

I would suggest you put the cutting edge underneath the beveled scoop part? If it were a garden fork you would reach under the rock ,shake off the dirt and pickup the rocks. You have points on the scoop part already but it might need strengthening underneath. We have a bolt in tooth bar but the teeth are too short. You can jiggle rocks into the bucket but it takes a while. We also have a tractor with a beveled cutting edge. The toothed edge is much better. Putting a steel piece under ,maybe near your spacer pieces might work better. Not sure if you get my drift. On our Kubota we dont have quick attach. That is the bolt in tooth edge tractor. Our Kioti has a cutting edge bucket.

I think I understand what you are saying. Thanks for the idea! The quick attach is so handy. I am constantly switching between the two buckets and the pallet forks. But having two tractors would be handy as well. Thanks for watching!

That's so cool you made that rock bucket yourself! 👍 As far as your Flex Hitch King Kutter, I have the same one except 5' wide for my L3901. You might want to take that single bolt out of the tailwheel adjustment and lower the tailwheel down, then shorten your top link. That should change the angle and allow you to pick your brush hog completely off the ground and still allow the flex hitch to function.

Thank you! It was a learning process for sure! Would making those adjustments pick the wheel of the ground without binding the flex hitch? Thank you for watching!

@@JustCaidsDayFarm You may have the 3pt hitch of the actual brush hog on the wrong side of the frame of the brush hog. It's shipped one way, but you have to move the bolts to the other side of the pivot arm. There should be a sticker on the brush hog showing you how it's supposed to be assembled. If that's correct, then it's your tailwheel and your top link setting that's wrong. Shoot me a facebook message and I'll send you a private link so you can watch a video we'll publish August 8th that shows how I setup that same brush hog.

I was just thinking about this bucket as I drove down my rocky hill this evening. Let me know when they go into mass production! 👊👍

Was that a stump you popped out too?! Looks like it did the job pretty well. I’ve never really paid attention to the use of a rock bucket. Thank you! - Samuel

Yes it was a very small rotted stump. So far it’s working really well and I am very happy with it! Thank you for watching and commenting!

Good job on the rock bucket. I would add a replaceable tooth bar other front edge. I would add side bars for material retention. Barry

Thank you! I think that after this edge wears out I will add a replaceable edge. I intentionally left the sides open because I am currently adding a grapple to the bucket and didn't want side to interfere with looks a brush. That being said I have been thinking of ways to make removable sides for the bucket for that very purpose. Thanks for watching and commenting!
