Looks like the addition of the SSQA has opened up a world of possibilities! Everything is shaping up nicely! No matter how old our kids are, being able to help them and take care of them is a blessing from God and your love for your children is obvious in your videos. God Bless!
It really has! Artillian has really helped me get the most out of it! Yes, I am so thankful to be close to my kids and have the opportunity to be there for them. 👊
Lucas that rock bucket is awesome! Now just run over the yard with a landscape rake and you will have it so smooth and rock fee it will look like a golf course. I really enjoy your honest and down to earth videos. God bless you and your family.
Lucas: nice work on the first attempt. Those rocks do not stand a chance against it. Is there a screen that you can add to get the smaller ones? I have picked up most of the rocks at my place, but they keep popping up in the spring. Take care and "ROCK ON DUDE". 😎
Not that I know of. I’ve had a couple folks comment that they add a grid or chicken wire for that purpose. I’m not sure how all of that would work, but I know that this saved me a lot of back breaking work as it is! 👊
Love watching and learning from your videos. I especially like the fact that you're willing to try new things and learn as you go. We can all continue to learn no matter how old we are. Keep it up. You're doing an excellent job!
That and a landscape rake looks like the perfect combination. Set the landscape rake at an angle to move the rocks even some smaller ones into a row, then scoop them up with the rock bucket 👍
It might be the ticket! I haven’t used a landscape rake yet so I was wondering how they compare. Maybe it isn’t a comparison, but like you said, maybe they would work great together…
The landscape rake is great at moving debris from dry dirt, it works best when angled so the debris can roll off the side. When used straight the debris pulls the dirt with it after a bit. Make a couple of passes until the debris row gets to big to handle, then use the rock bucket. I just had a 4 in 1 I used. Rock would be perfect
Honestly before using this one, I hadn’t either. I figured I understood the concept, but it worked so much better than I imagined. Thanks for watching!
Hi Lucas. The rock bucket looks like a great tool. If you spray the load with water, you would filter out the soil, leaving rocks, clumps, rots, and branches.
Lucas, might discuss the spacing you chose between tines. I went with a 3 inch which I though would be better and was too wide. Ended up putting chicken wire on top to make the holes smaller. But I agree that it does a great job for what it is to remove rocks, or other debris, from your soil.
Great point. Artillian really only has the one spacing and it seemed to work perfect for this application. It leaves some small rocks, but nothing big enough to hurt a mower. So how did the chicken wire work out? Is it holding up?
I have an identical scenario and you sold me on one. I probably only need it for this one time use so I'll probably purchase it and then sell it. But thanks for the video, this will save me days worth of work. My original plan was to manually load my regular 60" bucket with rocks until it was smooth. That would have been hundreds and hundreds of times getting on and off the tractor
That rock bucket is neat, have to check them out and see if they have any dealers over here and for other brands of tractors, in Missouri. We have the same problem here, rocks are heavy in the fields, roads and creek areas.
For some reason, I just want to get and try it! Looks like it works really well. Looks efficient on your little machine. Cannot imagine how effective it would be on a CTL! Great video
Letsdig18 needs one of this and one similar attachment for the excavator for removing trees and brush. Its good to leave the sand and dirt behind and pick up only stones and trees.
That thing is awesome! And it's orange! 😄. Be careful now. He's going to have a nicer yard than his neighbors; we can't have that. LOL! Have a blessed day brother. 👊
I found this size to be about right for what I wanted. It left just above gravel size rocks. I think sifting the dirt out effectively would get harder if you go much smaller.
I would be interested in knowing as well. I’ve not used a landscape rake. I may try to get access to one for comparison. That was my original plan, but when I found this, I felt like it would have so many other uses! Being 54” it is great for hauling more firewood and I’m learning that it works well for digging too.
Wrong song! It should've been Rocky Top! Ok, just kidding. I'm thinking about rigging up some hardware cloth left over from the chicken run build onto the root rake grapple to try and make a poor man's rock bucket. Hope it works! Keep up the good work.
I really felt like this was the perfect setup overall. There are some rocks left, but not anything big enough to cause trouble. I am thinking if I sifted it finer that it would get a lot harder to shake the dirt through. Overall I am very satisfied! That might be useful for some projects though…

I wouldn’t buy any machine without SSQA. Agreed!
That works great! I know your son and daughter-in-law are happy with the results.
It's going to be a beautiful lawn.
Blessings from Georgia 🪶✨
Thanks! I was thrilled with the results. The rock bucket is going to get a lot of use around our place!
That is a perfect situation for the rock bucket. He is going to be golf course smooth.
He is already talking about really manicuring his lawn and making stripes. lol. I’m not into that, but I hope he can.
I predict An early Sunday morning phone call. " Dad your Goat is on my Lawn"@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead

It definitely was!
nice job
Thanks, Brock!
Great video for sure!

I really appreciate the kind words! Thank you for supporting us! 👊
Great video Lucas. Now I want one! Looks like a real handy thing for a bunch of stuff
I am so impressed with the versatility. You’ll see a lot more from me on this one. It has some great uses!
It sure would be. My mind is swirling with ideas!
@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead I’ll be watching!
Looks good 👌 looks like it does an awesome job and even levels out the ground well at the same time
That part really surprised me. We were left with a smoother finish than we could get with the box blade. It is just great!

I've seen rock buckets before but never seen one in action. That worked really well. Looks like it helped with leveling the yard also. Very nice 👍

Looks great! Anxious to see how the grapple attachment does.
Thanks, Man! It’s a whole new world!

Great video. Been thinking about getting a rock bucket. This definitely makes me see how good of a job it does. Thanks for sharing.

Artillian makes them SSQA and JDQA 54” in orange, Green, or black. Check out Artillian.com

Good video and looks like a great attachment for the BX, I remember years ago doing that with a rack and wheel barrel lol

Weld some smaller hole mesh on the under part of the bucket to help get rid of the smaller rocks from falling back

Definitely will do!!
Great job on the lawn area. Just wondering what the spacing between tines is?
I believe it is 2”. Thank you!
Rock buckets rock, grub to
Curious how it would compare to a landscape rake?

Good luck with your setup! 👊
How much does this rock bucket cost? Where did you buy it from?
Artillian.com. Their rock bucket is about $1600.

If you want the little stuff you Could wire down some chicken wire to the inside of the bucket
