It was a difficult time for the band - Simon wasn't in the band and Smith had the choice of playing the (then-recent) 'fantasy' hits, but he played Pornography tunes instead, allegedly to 'prove' to Simon that he was passe. Anyway, it's fascinating to see the Banshees psychedelic pre-Top, Glove-Cure all in one outing for Pornography. This wonderful cover above shows how vibrant and awesome the songwriting was. Thanks.
Good job! I love this song so much! Im also a bass VI owner. I ve got the black Squier CV bass vi. I will change the bridge for a Mastery Bridge M1 next year and i will put Labella strings but without this change my bass vi sounds cool anyway!
Music For Ghosts Thaks man. I have also the Fender Bass VI Pawn Shop series but to be honest with you I preffer the 7.25 radius of the Squier neck than the 9.5 radius on the Pawn shop

Luis Mendo Tomás the main issue on this basses is the bridge, but I made a mod on mine on 6th string about tuning to 12 fret but talking about buzzing just dont play hard and you will be fine
That looks like a badass bass guitar. Are 6 string basses played more like a guitar or bass? Or both? Is that the charm of this instrument? I know that the cure started using it around Faith album, but not sure which cure songs uses them.
this instrument isn't really a 6 string bass in that a regular 6 string bass would be tuned BEADGC. Think of this instrument as a guitar tuned EADGBE but an octave lower (the E being in the same register as an E on a 4 stringed bass). It's almost its own creature, being a perfect compromise between a 6 string guitar and a bass, and needs to be approached in a unique way.

Fender IV is in fact a bass guitar, not a baritone guitar, though this misnomer is not uncommon.

Looks like it's been removed, exposing part of the electronics.
I took it out in that time, just to made some grounding upgrades. You can see some grounding terminals below neck and bridge pickups
