    Thanks for the video. Just had a litter of GSP pups and she had 10. So nice to follow your updates and weights. I was panicking at first as felt that all the literature states that they should double their birth weight by one week. That did not happen so was concerned. Watched your channel on this litter and felt relaxed that mine are all the same as your pups. My little pup is bigger than Zephyr too so all good. Thanks so much for the information.

    Zephyr is so tiny! Hard to imagine my gsp was that small once upon a time haha.

    Your content is so well put together and informative. I refer to you as as top resource for anyone training or breeding canines. Thanks for the notes, tips, and shopping links. By any chance, can you refer us to a link for or info about this scale?

    Where can I find a scale like this one? I like that it immediately gives you a read out instead of bouncing all over the place. LOL I just found your channel and enjoy your content.

    man, I'm re-watching for the gazillionth time lol because I LOVE your channel, but it's interesting how different each litter is! My litter of 12 are huge puppers, our littlest boy Flint on his one week weigh in was 655 grams, and our biggest, Amber was 862 grams, most are over 800 grams! 9 days old now. seriously it is ROUGH! doing all the puppy cares lol, I'm glad we made 1 week and I don't have to weigh daily anymore lol but still doing the bio sensor training and twice a day supplement feeds. trimmed nails at 1 week and feel like I need to trim some again. I totally feel you on that frantic behaviour, trying to get them used to other handling only solo as hubby isn't much help lol

    Being a breeder is my dream job but i don’t see it being an option as I’m a junior in hs (tips?)... more realistically I want to be a vet and hopefully when I’m older I can breed dogs after being retired

    Can you explain the dewclaw and tail reference?

    • @StandingStoneKennels
      @StandingStoneKennels  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The GSP breed standard in the US is to dock tails (shorten them) and to remove dew claws.

    I have a bad dog litter of 8 and I am worried about the round bellies I feel they might be overeating. And then can I order dewormer off of amazon?

      We would recommend reaching out to your vet if you are concerned about the health and wellbeing of your puppies and to discuss a worming protocol for them.

    What is Bio training.

    • @shannongolden6586
      @shannongolden6586 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am pretty sure she is talking about what others call Early Neurological Stimulus. It is exercises that you can do with the puppies to provide slight stress. These exercises have proven to help puppies be smarter, healthier and rebound from stress as adults much faster.
      They do a great job providing everything possible early on to make sure they turn out super healthy well balanced puppies.

    Well shoot. I wouldn't let my son hold a puppy in our litter because he was holding them erect, upside-down and on theirs backs. Y'all wanna employ a toddler? He's a natural at biosensor training.

      @@rostamr4096 protects them from injuries during working when they’re older. Tails and ears will continue to bleed if they’re injured which is a huge risk (hence why some working breeds are also cropped, such as livestock guardians) yes, the breed standard is man made, but it benefits working breeds whos standard calls from cropping or docking, and to preserve each breed :)

      It's to prevent traumatic injuries to them as adults as working dogs. Please get some education on these matters in this modern age where information is available online before you spread your ignorance on the subject on a public forum. That's cruel and damaging to our society.
