Hello everyone, M3GAMETAL here! I hope everyone likes this different take on a Kingslayer music video! It was an absolute blast being able to pitch in ideas throughout this project, and I am glad that I was able to be a part! It turned out fantastic and I hope people can appreciate the time that was put into it by KuroKiitsuneSama. Make sure this gets the attention it deserves! Enjoy!
The official version has its place as well here. Both are great as anything that spreads Babymetal to all corners of the Metal world gets my approval. I remember when Babymetal was given shit for being all cute and playing their style of metal to now they're collabing with Bring me the Horizon and having Rob Halford from Judas Priest doing guest vocals. Love it!
They had a massive fan base for several years until the studio execs fucked the band over removing Yu. Their popularity plummeted for quite a while after the details about why she was removed came out. Particularly the overseas audience. The US and EU fanbase drastically declined over the scandal.
I didn't used to like them, they were always metal , just not my style of it, and then I got more into J-metal, with bands like BBTS, PASSCODE, Unlucky Morpheus, Nemophila etc...and this banger dropped. Yea now I like them
That's just you focusing on the negative. I've been a huge fan since they hit the scene Andi was still a speak in the fan base. Try not to focus on the negative, shit just worry about you instead of everyone else's thoughts.
@@sinfthedruid5153 what was the scandal about? I remember I was kinda miffed because in my opinion past Yu they started doing more "orthodox" things, not a 10-genres-in-a-song that kept surprising you every 2-3 bars. Did we get to finally find out?
@@ANiCKiNof course they did. You can tell by the lack of modulation that they were running real-time autotune all the way into the red zone. It's very difficult to sing and dance so they chose to do just one.
@@davidmorgan6896 Yeah, it's usually done through a combination of backing vocals and autotune, some don't use autotune, but backing vocals is basically a requirement. For the parts with less movement they often lower the volume on the backing vocals, but they are still there. I don't particularly mind it, the layering effect gives the audio more depth which is just better for listening. Some don't like it though. Oh, and you'd still need to do a somewhat decent job even with autotune, otherwise it'd still sound like shit.
@@CottidaeSEA Oh, for the days when 'a somewhat decent job' wasn't even the bare minimum. I saw Frank Zappa on his last tour; they were superb. A friend saw them on another night and the set list was completely different. They went on tour with 200 songs rehearsed to perfection and Zappa would pick the night's set just before going on stage. He controlled the changes with little hand signals. The result was it all felt spontaneous, but it was flawless. Just do that.
Giving Babymetal the top platform, center-stage space is such a solid, top-tier move that it brought tears to my eyes. The entire performance is absolutely phenomenal, but the thoughtfulness and *respect* of something so seemingly straightforward as staging for this performance deserves acknowledgement all its own, too. Love, love, love! 🖤🖤🖤
@@ZeroBeat1 it would just suit so well. Baki has the gong of knockout which is fucking immense song as well as the song for Parasyte: The Maxim has a similar song (think they’re both done by Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas)
can't remember where I saw it, but she said in an interview she rehearses on an exercise trampoline to be able to sing and dance but maintain the vocal clarity. She's insanely talented.

You don't have to like her or her music to appreciate that kind of dedication. She does acrobatics and aerial stunts while singing her songs during her concerts. It's fucking wild!
How can anyone hate on Babymetal!? Been a fan since I heard Gimme Chocolate when it was released. No idea what they're saying half the time (doesn't stop me from listening to the Hu or Rammstein though!) but love the vibe and energy these women put on!!!

its amazing that lipsynching would sound the same live as it does in studio. truly staggering. imagine that when mixing in the voice at like 5% volume and supplying the remaining 95% in the mix itself that it would sound the same as the mix does.
The high pitch at 2min53 and the crowd reaction to that high pitch is a litteral pinaccle of what a live performance should be, beyond perfection in terms of pure energy. By the way, that live version is a destroyer from the first second to the last. For those who were there, pretty sure it was a one-in-a-lifetime nivarnaesque experience.
I can only imagine how much fun these shows must be live. I went to Japan to see Tool, The Prodigy Linkin Park, Metallica 15 or 20 years ago at a festival show and caught a bunch of great Japanese acts live, it was incredible. The crowd was so much more respectful and nice than any show I saw in the U.S. or Europe, I bet these shows are so cool.
I really cant understand how they can stand so still. Honestly, going to a metal concert with nobody moshing would just feel off to me. Maybe, as a German, I am just used to other stuff, visiting festivals for over 10 years now and going to concerts in some, let'S call them odd, locations. But I really wouldnt be able to hold so still^^

Everyone picks people up, but there is no cage crush at the front row people are respectful, Seriously, at a 100,000 person festival show, the bathrooms were so clean you could have sat on the floor and ate lunch.. It's a different world. We literally got hugs on the train back to our hotel at 1 in the morning. I cannot exaggerate what a different experience it was than a metal show in Atlanta or L.A.

But just because people aren't curb stomping each other on the concrete doesn't mean you can't be slam dancing. Watch some of their other videos, 300+ people in a race swirl, wall of death, their fans hit each other, but they. Don't generally have assholes trying to hurt each other like at American and Australian shows. And I guess I'm getting old, but fuck those people.
I visited Tokyo back in 2019 before lockdown for work and the level of respect for others and the natural order and discipline of society is next level. Zero trash anywhere. Everything was clean, tidy, and organized. People didn’t Jay walk and instead waited for the crossing signals even with no traffic. My Japanese was very very elementary at the time and everyone was still very kind and patient with me about it. Many times I made the mistake of attempting to hand money directly to someone for a good and I could tell that it wasn’t socially acceptable, but they would point to the tray, I would apologize and place my money properly. They would always give me a slight bow and thank me for working to behave according to their customs. Japan still ranks as the number one country I’ve visited and I’ve been to over 30 of them in my life.
I got to see Baby Metal, late last year. It was one of the most unique experiences I’ve had at a show. Their showmanship is on another level. Much respect.

Okay EVERYONE....I would love THIS....to be a Super Bowl Halftime show! How awesome would that be to see...THIS kind of entertainment on the big stage at halftime. So much crap is always at the Pepsi halftime show and just so mainstream but with all this natural organic talent presented here on this video...damn....this would be killer and maybe change things a bit.
