The doctors believe I have a slow growing glioma, but to proceed with conventional treatment they want a biopsy and even take a decent amount of the most inflamed area (there is no solid tumor). All of this sounds profoundly dangerous... I am using the keto diet to great effect as far as my symptoms (seizures), and hoping that I can find a non harmful regimen to get my body to heal itself essentially. Any thoughts on that approach? I have heard of cases with people doing this successfully
@@ogeoge6000 Yeah. I don't have access to HBOT or DON or some of the other things he uses in his recommended protocols. Though in a recent interview he seemed to be saying that just fasting might be enough if it was extended (like 40 days? Maybe a couple times? Or at least that he has seen it work)
In one long interview I think he said ‘might be’ enough. He’s a bona fide biologist, careful in any claims. He also hinted at some clinics (Turkey is one place) using his theory and the established empirical knowledge of fasting Keto diet and the glucamite intake (to ca cells) drugs such as DON . I’ve been trying to find such clinics myself (I have Pancreas tumour).
Question for the Dr: Is it policy or are you required to implement SOC "with" keto/fasting? Or in some cases, could you administer Keto/fasting "without" necessarily resorting to the SOC? IOW, are you beholden to using radiation/chemo/operations, due to your physician's license?
Sorry about your health issues but thumbs up for making an effort for metabolic therapy. It works. Even if you just go one month eating only small servings of raw leaves and raw leaf juices. Wheat grass juice powder seems to be helpful. They encourage adding some vinegar, olive oil, saurkraut, and salt. These will help your internal organs. Hope you are able to get better soon.
Saddly, most people are mostly on their own with this, unless you manage to get in on a clinical trial. But cancers can't eat raw leaves, that would be a good start. If you need warm food, try cabbage (small amount of cabbage, cooked cabbage has carbs)and zucchini soup. Flavor with plenty of parsley or cilantro, or natural herbs of your choice. Leeks, chives, oregano, anise, fennel,... Life can be fun even with simple foods. It's just a couple of months of extreme restriction, and soon your body will start healing. For protein, one small can of sardines twice a week, or a couple of tablespoons of canned salmon in your salad. Keep it simple. Some people are able to eat an egg without feeding the cancer. That is enough food. Keeps the human alive. The cancer will shrink and eventually go into remission. Small amount of coconut oil should be ok, but be careful, some cancers can find strength in oil. Hoping for the best! You can do this! Just keep it simple.
According to some researchers, bone broth and or collagen supplements is controversial. Might feed the cancer. Cancer eats glucose and glutamine. Collagen and bone broth supply glutamine, if you need it for strength, try using it when doing exercise, so that the muscles will absorb it and not the cancer.
Check out Stanislaw Burzynski, MD in Houston. He has developed an approach to severe, late stage cancers like glioblastoma with his “antineoplaston” therapy.

I developed some meals using info from Dr Berg website and some others on the internet. Dr Livingood is good also but he doesn't go very low carb and definitely not keto. I think these people are prohibited by law to get real specific because they can be sued. I really like Dr Valter Longo approach, but it also isn't really keto. My husband was able to get better from a major issue and he was able to do a much needed shoulder replacement surgery. I really appreciate the metabolic therapy approach. Thanks for the info and application.
Keto alone may not be sufficient to target cancer cells that can utilize glutamine when glucose is low. As per Dr. Thomas Seyfried, glutamine needs to be suppressed.
Could you pls explain the "Ratios" mentioned in this interview? Could we get ketones as a supplement or any other way? Would MCT oil help? I think that is what you mean by Exogenous Ketones, am I right?
First start with getting rid of all processed and highly processed foods, no fast food, eat real food, get a blood glucose/ketone monitor, start taking readings, I don’t like the Dr boz ratio no matter how well conceived it was do the GKI index=glucose/(ketones*18) it’s bad enough people have trouble with ratios let alone formulas. If your ketones do not come up and blood sugar going down you need to cut your carbs and increase healthy fats. Some people have to fast to get into therapeutic ketosis (GKI=1or2) but you need the blood monitor it’s a big help.

You are way too loooooooong winded... Get to the point!!! Most of what you mentioned, I already know., mostly from studying HOW TO STARVE CANCER by jane mclelland.
Kudos to you for helping to make this protocol more mainstream. Keto is NOT hard if you do it right. The only hard part will be the psychological stress of giving up your favorite foods. Often those are carb/sugars and there's also an addiction component. IF you have a good reason to try the diet and stick with it long enough to get the benefits, you're quickly sold. Luckily for me I've not had cancer. It has touched my family. But, keto/carnivore has helped me fix my type 2 diabetes (25+years on insulin). I've kept an A1C of 5.0 for the last 4.5 years w/o any insulin. Fixed stage 3 kidney disease by more than doubling my filtration and helped me lose 200# so far. The makeup of the diet is extremely nutritionally dense. This adds to the satiety and the repair of the whole body. IMHO, it is the proper human diet. Not a fad. To learn more about how it affects cancer, I'd also study the work of professor Thomas Seyfried. You can find him interviewed a lot on TH-cam. To learn more about the myriad benefits of keto and latest research, check out www.doctorstotrust.com

Does sound risky considering the area ,
U could look around at the ray peat forum for potentially useful information
@@tomg2946 I do believe Tom Seyfried is approachable. Can't hurt to try. He may give you, and original poster, some direct instruction.
Best wishes❤❤
Question for the Dr:
Is it policy or are you required to implement SOC "with" keto/fasting?
Or in some cases, could you administer Keto/fasting "without" necessarily resorting to the SOC? IOW, are you beholden to using radiation/chemo/operations, due to your physician's license?
What are the obstacles to getting more uptake of this promising approach to cancer treatment?
You're amazing you spoke for 40 minutes without giving any helpful info
Absolutely.
So how do i get in touch to
This. I have glioblastoma
They have been developing a successful protocol for glioblastomas. He is a researcher at Boston College.
Excellent discussion, LJ and Victoria. Thank you both so much.
Shocking that she could actually be a nutritionist with no knowledge or training with a ketogenic diet or metabolic therapy. This is proof positive that the Medical industry is not looking at the research successes out there outside of the box.
The involvement of the processed food industry in dietician training and research, gets in the way of progress
Please contact professor Thomas Seyfried and look at his research.
How do we contact you?
How do i get to work with you?
Prof Seyfried has been doing this for decades.
give examples of meals don't talk in ingeneralities. I do not believe it until you give some good meals that someone can used. I view it as someone trying to make money on the dieing,, prove me wrong.
Why dont these so call expert just state the fact : eat alkalize diet, rather use technical"Metabolic" jargon to confuse peopsle.
Could you pls explain the "Ratios" mentioned in this interview? Could we get ketones as a supplement or any other way? Would MCT oil help? I think that is what you mean by Exogenous Ketones, am I right?
Yes. Dr. Boz discusses this at length. Exogenous ketones can be quite useful for getting your body to transition to fat burning mode.
AVOID. This is promotional. Advertisement for her business. Scattered info but no step wise plan..just blabber. Doesnt match to thumbnail. More 'I' and 'you'. AVOID.
Goodness please stop talking about yourselves-your really not that important.
Give us the knowledge people need to be aware of!🙄
There's a lot a jargon being tossed around, I'm assuming these two gals think every one understands their terms. I thought this would be a more hands on how to get started.

What is therapy for patients , unnecessary talk irreverent
Let me guess, it's not covered by insurance????!!!!!
lazy video, all talk 0 picture or presentation, even the press pulse video 5 years ago has more information than this woman talks
You are way too loooooooong winded... Get to the point!!!
Most of what you mentioned, I already know., mostly from studying HOW TO STARVE CANCER by jane mclelland.
If not Iron - RESTRICTION diet, Keto-diet may NOT improving CA.
