Hey CT great to see you! Not next week but week after (depending on how tied up Thom is with Christmas stuff) we're doing a video on the armies of Westeros if that stuff floats your boat! If it does well we might put your idea on the drawing board! Shiny mercs Vs the most disciplined slave army in the world is definitely an interesting match up! Thanks for watching! Liam
Only elephants would give GC a chance, remember Unsullied defeated at Qhor a Dothraki force outnumbering them 10 to 1, and even elephants are not unbeatable.
@@rogeliomanueldiazmoreno2818 Golden Company actually wear armor unlike the Dothraki And heavier armor than the light unsullied armor 1. Golden Company have advanced archer units with Goldenheart bows 2. Have the Elephants 3. Have Calvary 4. Are the most sought after mercs and so rich they waste gold like nothing lol They’re a functional army and not just bodyguards like the Unsullied who they’d destroy
"whos the better at sleeping with their close relatives?" in daemons defense, shit was normalized in his culture + he married rhaenyra for political purposes. jaime and cersei absolutely have no excuse whatsoever.
That is true in fairness, but do we mark Daemon up because he's following the rules or give it to Jaime because he's getting away with breaking them? 🤣 Thanks for watching as always buddy! Liam
The Kingslayer had to deal with the Mad King constantly talking shit about his family for years while serving him and later had to deal with the endless lechery of his brother-in-law, the new king, against the Queen who was not only his sister but his lover. Jaime's honestly a paragon of restraint for what he endured as a Kingsguard, there's absolutely no chance Daemon would have endured the same for even an instant.
Oi we'll have less Bobby B slander in these comments thank you very much!!!!! 😂 But in seriousness you make a fantastic point. A lot of people paint Jaime as reckless and hot headed but I think sometimes he's like "you know what? I've really had enough of everyone's shit" 😂 Thanks for watching Jeremy! Liam
@@jeremygilbert7989 I hear that, I just figure Daemon would have gotten sick of the Mad Kings shit wayyyyy sooner then Jamie and would have just ended his reign on the spot instead of later on in the heat of the rebellion. Sure Daemon is hot headed, but it’s almost as if it’s aided in his performance, there hasn’t really been an example of it being detrimental to him. (I wouldn’t call losing to Christen Cole hot headed, more so cocky show boating) When Daemon is cocky, vs Jamie Cocky, Jamie wins. When is mad Jamie against a mad Daemon, Daemon wins. Jamie isn’t one to lash out, normally keeps his cool and it makes him a great fighter. Although he has a limit, we just haven’t terribly seen him that angry, but we’ve seen Daemon fight angry and it works. We’ve seen Daemon fight cocky and it well doesn’t work as well, same goes for Jamie, he fights cocky and he doesn’t do as well as he thinks (against Ned, when he is genuinely surprised it wasn’t as easy as it was going to be, and against Brienne when he finally gets a sword back into his hands, mind you he hasn’t been training or moving, but in your prime you’re still to retain some strength. His pride gets the better of him on that one.) I also haven’t seen the end of the video yet, but just my analysis of the two characters. Composed battle, both characters are level headed and calculated, Draw. Battle with Ego’s: Jamie is cocky but Daemon’s costs him more than he can afford. Jamie wins. Battle with Anger: Daemon performs better under pressure and his fighting performances angry hasn’t really failed him in 1on1. Jamie has the composure but not the primal instinct of fury to decimate his enemies (reason why he’d lose to Robert Baratheon, Daemon would put up more of a fight due to his resolve to brutality.)
I think we also have to remember the place where their family is in ranking. Damon is a Targaryen who is referred to as higher than man and has been ruling for generations at this point so he is going to take less shit and feel more entitled than Jaime. Even if the lannisters are a proud and arrogant house they didnt have the same power, prestige, and history as the Targaryens. Also Damon was aire to the throne and then the prince so he was at a much higher standing than Jaime who was a kingsguard. Jaime had to take what the king said when Damon was in that role to nearly everyone in the realm
Thanks Luke buddy, appreciate it! The issue is the time they take. The last one wasn't even as finished as it could have been (I was going to score it musically and refine the SFX) and it still took an immense amount of hours to put together. It's not off the table, but unless someone is going to pay me to live while I make them, they just aren't feasible as a regular thing 😂 Thanks for watching! Liam
Not only we have seen Ser Cole defeating Daemon, we also have seen Jaime taking care of participating in tournaments to assess the capabilities of possible rivals. So there is a level of foresight there. Remember what he said to Brienne, "there are three knights in Westeros that can defeat me". Intelligent to have them identified! even though he could have bypassed one or two more. Would ever Daemon have worried about that?
@@rogeliomanueldiazmoreno2818 let’s be real He beat Ser Christen Cole he only lost because he was gloating also Cole had to wait for his back to be turned to get him
I recognize this would be a difficult match-up to determine but Corlys Velaryon vs. Euron Greyjoy in a contest of who is the better captain? A battle between the Sea-Snake and Silence and the skills of their captains. Who is the better navigator, who is the better ship commander, and who has the better ship and crew. Does the Kraken devour the Seahorse or is Crow's Eye struck blind by the Sea Snake?
Honestly a fantastic suggestion that Caden! I think Thom would find that interesting as well! We might wait a bit though to see more of the sea snake in action and we might hold out just a wee bit more hope that we'll get Winds so we can really see what Eurons all about! It's a great suggestion though! Thanks for watching! Liam
Corlys hands down. Euron abuses his crew and takes out their tongues. people actually wanted to sail for Corlys of their own will and continued to sail with him until the end. and Corlys enriched house Velaryon beyond what they had from his voyages
@15:31 In both the books and show, Jaime's hands were also still manacled for his fight with Brienne. Brienne thinks to herself during their fight that he'd be putting up even more of a fighter if his hands were unbound, yet Jaime still attacks her while he is bound, malnourished, and hasn't had any exercise in months because he's been locked in a dungeon. He certainly didn't have to deal with low self-esteem
😂 Yeah he was a confident dude that's for sure. Alot of people use that fight (along with the show only one Vs the Hound) as a way of saying how awesome Brienne is, but Jaime was at less than 50% of his normal output, I think even Brienne herself acknowledges that were he unbound and fresh he would have killed her immediately and that noone could have stood against him at full strength. Brienne is still awesome though, just not Jaime level awesome..,.........yet. Thanks for watching as always mate!
@@TheFandomeClips Brienne and Jaime were both impressed by the other's performance. Brienne was amazed at how good a fight Jaime was able to put up under the circumstances, and what a formidable opponent he'd be at full strength, and Jaime was surprised to find that Brienne was not only extremely competent but actually stronger than himself.
I'm speaking as someone who's been doing various styles of swordsmanship for over twenty years. If you're using an arming sword, or a falchian, or any other one-handed sword, having your hands manicled would be a massive disadvantage. If you're using a long sword, having your hands manacled isn't that big of a deal because it forces your hands to be roughly where you would want them anyway. The GRRM is among the best at weaving story and character together... but take anything he puts down about the intricacies of weapons combat with a rock of salt. He gets the general aspects pretty good, though. Edit: The fact that he was starved and chained to a post for a good long while is what would really have got him.
That's true, though it's still a two year war and I suspect there will have been plenty of on foot stuff. Jaime was really unlucky bless him to get taken out so early in TWOTFK. Imagine what he would have accomplished if not for Robs tactical brilliance. Thanks for watching! Liam
I was thinking when I first clicked on the video that you couldn’t give Jamie Oath Keeper without losing his hand first. Fantastic idea, I hadn’t realised how close they actually would be
Aye you can't give Jaime Oath keeper without taking the hand, this is thrones the price must paid 😂 I think Jaime gets a little overrated due to fans taking George's statements about him being the Goat to mean he can't ever be bested in a fight. The same was said of Arthur Dayne and he was killed in combat just like any other man........as far as we know. The best of one era should realistically be able to stand with the best of another when PEDs aren't a thing 😂 Thank you for watching we really appreciate it! Liam
I feel that's a little unfair on Jon no? 😂 Criston is not out of the conversation for the best around for his time whereas Jon is good, but not hitting that top tier..............yet. Thanks for watching Ned! Liam
@@TheFandomeClips Ser Fistin' Pole sucks lol and I think the rogue Prince could beat Lamie Jannister 9 out of 10 times. Why do I say 9 out of 10 because there's always a chance that the rogue Prince could trip over a rock or have a boot come untied or something lol

@@John14710 Not necessarily. Drogo doesn't wear armour, remember and whilst he is known and not just fast, but sudden, Syrio is a master water-dancer. The lack of armour is a perfect example for, "All men are made of water, do you know this? If you pierce them, the water leaks out.. and they die!" I'm not saying this means Syrio takes it, but keep it in mind. It would be a smashing contest though, I do concur. Famedome, love the work. Looking to get into similar myself. Lots of ideas. Hopefully it shows soon.
I truely believe that the dance of water is the perfect way to fight a Dothraki on foot in a 1vs1 fight. It mainly counteracts armorless, physically superior, high skilled weaponmasters with skill and agility and especially is superior to impulsive fighting technique. If there is one single usage of the waterdance it is to defeat a physically bigger wild fighter like Kal Drogo. It isn’t useful in big battles neither in formation fighting nor in chaotic battlefields. It is for sure not as useful against heavy armored very superior westerosi trained knights or Syrio would have drawn Jaimies interest more…. I am pretty sure it is perfectly fit to take a armorless bigger fighter who never got a high developed warfare training like Kal Drogo. Also we have to mention that Kal Drogo is especially dangerous on horseback and not necessarily on foot. And
Oooh, this is another wonderfully close one. By skill Jamie has an edge, but Damon has a bit more experience. Jamie is better at focusing, but Damon has better kit. This is seriously, as you say, entirely going to depend on the tiniest external advantage being translated into a moment to make the final push. I would say that IF Damon stays calm then he probably just about takes it, but IF Jamie can draw it out a bit or get under Damon's skin he wins. Razor thin margins, and it likely ends up going something like 6:4 in the results.
Thanks Neo, I think you'll be in the minority like us with that opinion. Most are just going to say "but Jaime goat in skill, George says so Jaime stomps Daemon" 😂 It's the sort of match up that separates people whose fighting knowledge comes entirely from fiction (mainly anime) and people who have some real world experience. Skill only gets you so far or makes up for so much before other factors like size, equipment and psychology start taking over. Look at Gregor Vs Syrio Forel. Forel is undoubtedly vastly more skilled than Gregor, it's almost by a laughable margin. But in a fight? Gregors equipment, size and weaponry gives him such a monumental leg up Vs Syrio and his equipment that the dancing master is firmly on the back foot, possibly even outmatched by it. Don't get me wrong I still think Jaime takes it, but I thinks it's way closer than people think. Thanks for watching as always mate we appreciate it! Liam
Jaime has his own share of experience too. Countless tourneys, the whispering wood where he wore down the smiling knight for Ser Arthur, the Greyjoy Rebellion, his battles in the Riverlands.
"When asked who from the Seven Kingdoms he would choose to represent him if it came down to trial by combat, Martin seemingly revealed who he feels are the best fighters of the entire series. He said Ser Arthur Dayne first (if he was alive, of course, Jaime Lannister (if he still had both his hands), and then Brienne of Tarth.
Barristan Selmy : The boy from the Basilisk Isles, for a start. Tumco Lho. Black as maester's ink he was, but fast and strong, the best natural swordsman Selmy had seen since Jaime Lannister.
The same way that being a Lannister paid for all of Jaime's equipment and training, being a Targaryen gives Daemon a certain advantage as well. An advantage of the giant, flying, and fire-breathing variety.
I think Jamie’s physicality will play a decently big role in this fight. As you said most fights of this type (plate armoured sword fighters against each other) will often devolve into wrestling and grappling and I think that Jaimie being a bit bigger and a bit stronger will help him edge out Daemon more often than not when it comes to that.
Absolutely, I think if Jaime can get the sword out of Daemons hands and force them to go at it with their daggers his odds go way up. Strength and size becomes quite important at that point, especially if the agility gap isn't big . Still I wouldn't count Daemon out though, he might not have the body of a greek god but he's evidently got a shit ton of functional strength if we look at his feats. Thanks for watching Connor we appreciate it! Liam
Ah yeah my favourite channel is back with a bang. Hopefully when I finish my animated series on African history you will do videos like these for fans🎉🎉
I doubt Daemon was the best fighter in his era. Clearly Dalton Greyjoy and Criston Cole were better than him. A guy who been taking lives since he was ten and the guy who confident enough to suggest a 3v1 duel would be something to beware of.
Show : Daemon Book : Jaime via statements Daemon in the books got disarmed by Cole with morning star keep in mind disarming ≠ winning due skill and being better, also Daemon in the show has shown to be arguably the best in the show imo because he did won in 1vs1 against Cole and lost the mele due to flexing to the crowd and is shown to slash people like its nothing so Daemon (books) is underrated but show he's perfect, smart af when it comes to fighting, fights dirty and is not afraid to test his luck plus him jumping from Caraxes to Vhagar midair , removing Aemond helmet and killing him is by far the best feat in verse but the video doesn't include that part , great video and I love this channel ♥️
Thank you Specter for the kind words! Yeah honesty can't wait to see Daemon do that in live action and once we have seen him in the dance we'll do a video on older Daemon against another warrior (maybe old man Barristan) Thanks for watching! Liam
Like... thats kinda the problem We have heard from Jaimes deeds via statements, but the thing is that statements can be over exaggerated, especially if they are coming from people that are close to that person. Its kinda the problem comparing a show character with its original book counterpart. For example, show Jon is in the top tier of fighters in Game of Thrones, while in the books he is just the average, mediocre fighter, especially comparing him to other characters. Then we for example have show Areo Hotah and book Areo Hotah... book Hotah is supposed to be one of the top tier fighters in Westeros, while the show made him the Sand Snakes bitch. So perspective matters a lot too. Book Daemon is shit, show Daemon is supposed to be the best fighter of his time... while Cole is portrayed the other way around.
@@nickdentoom1173 book daemon is shit? Says you his sword prowess was good enough to be knighted by his grandfather the king at 16 and as far as loosing to cole so what!.. you act like cole was an average fighter and not one of if not thee best of that time!... daemon slew plenty of people in single combat and was considered the most dangerous man in westeros I don't think you get called that by being "shit" with the sword
@@jeffreym8503 the thing with book Daemon against Cole is that Cole used morning star which overall counters the sword, its said Cole disarmed Daemon not outright won by skill, sure Cole is stated to be the greatest of his time but here comes the book maester points, the maesters hate the targaryens that's clear so why not hype Cole ? Imo Cole and Daemon fought but Cole disarmed him which did happen in the show as well but Daemon "won" and started flexing which gave crispy cole opening for back attack
@B.Specter your doing alot of mental gymnastics here to try and get around the obvious here book daemon was the most dangerous man in Westeros not just because of his dragon the dance doesn't need hype cole if you follow the story it's made abundantly clear by the time that the war kicks off that he is one of if not thee top fighter secondly daemon sword prowess is also made very clear as well you don't go around challenging and slaying as many people as he did in single combat if you're not a good swordsman further more it clearly says that at 16 he was knighted and given dark sister by jaeharys because of his skill at arms!...not to mention a melee are the same as a one on one duel and anything can happen in one
One thing I would like to note as far as the training that they would’ve gotten with weapons and all Daemon have been trained by members of the Kingsguard we see it in the main show where one of the members serves as master of arms, so we can somewhat make it a speculation that the Targaryen liked to have their children trained by loyal people, and who better than the people who are supposed to be guarding our lives one of the seven best Warriors in the kingdom at their time.
That's true and pretty fair assumption to make. We're thinking of using old Daemon once we've got season 3 so we'll probably bring this up there! Thanks for the insight! Liam
Dunno what other “who is better” videos you have done, but I’d be interested in seeing two of them both regarding Daario. First is Daario vs Bronn. Similar characters and they both have unpolished but proven fighting styles, yet they are still pretty different. Second is Daario vs Gregor. We know he’s smart enough to fight him how Oberyn did, but is he good enough?
it's sad to know that the internet has completely wiped out realistic duels, nowadays people just think that a character is stronger or something, so he wins without difficulty, but these same people forget that these concepts were introduced in scenarios where fantasy is such that these terms make sense, but when we take into account a duel in a “realistic” universe, they simply don't make sense, because let's say that in an anime (or a very fantasy universe), the strongest character in the universe manages to beat almost everyone with a certain ease because the differences in power are immense, but in realistic universes the strongest can lose to almost anyone depending on the circumstances, no one is invincible in a realistic scenario, just look at arthur dayne, no fight of the strongest in a realistic universe results in an easy victory, almost all of them the two warriors have a chance of winning and losing, and these chances are closer together than most people think, because again people are used to concepts made for very fanciful duels, and forget how a realistic duel works.
I whole heartedly agree. In a world like Westeros, chance and the circumstances of the day make more difference than sword skill and "power levels" Hell to back up your Dayne point look at the fight between Brienne and the Hound in the show. Most would agree the Hound was favoured to win all things been equal, but he was absolutely knackered from sleeping rough, starved and had a wound that was on the verge of becoming septic, factors that didn't allow him to be at his best and so Brienne was able to beat him. Thanks for watching buddy! Liam
As much as I’d hate to hear the outcome maybe an in-depth video on Oberyn vs. Robert Baratheon. That be pretty interesting only cause I don’t see Robert at any point in his life taking a tough guy flex wound from Oberyn. Oberyn was 42 when he died making him much older that Robert. He had a reputation by the time Robert was fighting his rebellion.
Brilliant video guys, so glad I got to enjoy this on patreon early. Do you guys agree that dark sister (damons sword) actually makes the weilder more ruthless and blood thirsty ?
Hey Hayden good to see you! Just wait till you see what's going up early next, one of our best vids yet I think!!!! I'm not sure how much stock I put in theory but I definitely think the case is there. V-Steel weapons are magical at the end of the day and it's suspected there is blood sacrifice involved. Maybe they do take in the essence of who is sacrificed and it can taint the wielder. You know something buddy this sounds like a good quick video idea on all honesty! Thanks for watching buddy and the continued support we honestly appreciate it! Liam
I think a few other characters have held that title though (including Jaime himself) whereas Rouge prince is unique to Daemon as best I remember. Thanks for watching buddy! Liam
I would like to submit this battle for the VS series! Robert Baratheon the Demon of the Trident vs the Greatjon Umber both in their prime and with signature weapons.
Hi John, it's my real voice in the sense that's it's not AI or had anything done to alter it aye 😂 but this could probably be categorised as my teacher/lecturer/public speaking voice, my conversation voice is a little softer but sounds roughly the same Thanks for watching! Liam
Greatjon vs Bronn. It‘s assumed that Bronn may have a shot vs the Mountain so it‘s interesting to see what he does to a a little bit smaller but also maybe a little smarter Greatjon. In this duel the physical category can finally be used
Problem is GreatJon is a much better fighter than Gregor and probably not as stupid. I feel like it would be even harder for Bronn lol Thanks for watching as always HK! Liam
I'm afraid not. We're good pals with the guys at Hilts (and we're super happy for their recent success) and we love their Jaime Vs Daemon video, but that's more about who's a better character. This was just something we've had a lot of requests for in our Vs suggestions channel in our discord and me and Thom really like both characters so we thought why not for a bit of fun :) We try not to poach other channels ideas if we can help it (unless we think we can do something different with the idea) and they nailed their go at comparing the characters, our attempt would just be a poor imitation I think. Thanks for watching MC! Liam
I would have really liked to see Daemon take it, but I can't disagree that between the two volatile tempers in the room, Daemon is easily the more unpredictable and unstable. And if there was just one thing Jaime takes serious, it's a swordfight. But he'd better remember there are more legendary warriors all through the history of Westeros and Essos.
It honestly was a close one mate. Was tempted to call it a draw but I think that's such a terrible cop out. Take heart though buddy, Jaime only takes it one more time than Daemon in our opinion, it's almost 50/50 Thanks for watching as always mate! Liam
That's probably a pretty good match up for Brienne! Vic is still a big guy and a savage warrior but not so big Brienne wouldn't be able to manage him. I'm keen to see what that black lava hand if his can do, as that might be a game changer! Thanks for watching Clint! Liam
You mentioned in passing Daemon gloating causing his loss to Cole, almost as if you are discounting the loss because of it. But that was a weakness of Daemon's (celebrating too soon), and we have seen it sink a number of great fighters across the series (Oberyn springs to mind). In my opinion it is a pretty glaring weakness - as much so as 'playing fair' would be.
@@robcahn7663 after that loss daemon never hesitated to kill on sight, plus in that setting it wasn’t life or death just a tourney, we see in the battle field daemon cuts down anything in his path without hesitation
@@thepunisher6674 Robert in his prime vs the Hound is tough. On prelim the Hound is probably more skilled, a little bit stronger and maybe more overall vicious. Maybe. Bobby B is the fury after all. As with most of the best matches this will either be over in seconds, or it’ll go to the judges.
Sandorq is probably one of the few who is a truly scary prospect for a young Robert. The guy doesn't sound like he was fully human 😂 we will use Sandorq one day mate holding our hope he'll appear in the last season of HOTD if we get some time skips! thanks for watching mate! Liam
I don't think Daemon will get provoked knowing The opponent he's fighting. Remember he always did it when he knew he can be against them . When they r weaker than him . He's cunning. He's confident but not overconfident. He's gonna win it with really high difficulty.
@@nicksmithnutmilk I wouldn't say destroy, also like he said in video jamie isn't as cunning so sure in a 1v1 situation jamie might be better, but Daemon could be more cunning to lead a army or lets say kill more people in a battle because he is more cunning instead of skill hiding in a castle.
Excellent video. I thought this would be a cop-out vid with the “too close to call” stuff but the way you explained everything… it is a bit too close to call. It is a “who wants it more today” kind of a matchup. But if we go for Daemon’s “win by all means necessary”, I’m pretty sure he’d fight Jamie with his dragon…. Unless the Jamie gets under Daemon’s skin and provoke him to fight mano-a-mano.
I did say to Thom this is a stomp, Jaime's good but he's not 1v1 Caraexes good, so we had to put that nerf in place 😂 Yeah I'm not a fan of those "it's too close, either will take it" conclusions you get in some Vs videos. There's always a way to get a winner even if it's just one more time in ten than the other. Thank you for watching Will we appreciate it! Liam
Can we imagine what kind of monster we would've seen if Robert and Cersie actually had a grown child? She's Jaime's twin so he has to get some of that talent, mixed with the dominant Baratheon physical genes. Then throw in getting trained by both Robert and Jaimie (and likely Selmy too). Also heading off the argument that Robert didn't train Joffrey - i think that's due to Robert never being able to connect and knowing hes a bit of a psycho from a young age.
Thom has a rule. If I'm using a character there dam well better be a good amount of footage and art of them 😂 honestly I'm not sure. Cregan is supposedly up in that top tier with Daemon and Cole so without anything else to go on, I'd definitely say he needs a high caliber opponent like Jaime, Sandor or Garlan Tyrell. Thanks for watching buddy! Liam
A spot-on assessment. Unlike my comment in the Viper vs. Kingslayer video, if both combatants were pregaming the day prior to the Trial by Combat, Daemon wouldn't necessarily resort to using poisons. I would say argue that he'd resort to using proxies to assassinate or otherwise maim Jaime prior to the fight (a la Blood and Cheese). Similar to the assassination attempt on Prince Aemond, Daemon's attempt would fail due to the quality of his proxies. Sending a rat-catcher and gold cloak to assassinate a highly skilled knight would be doomed to fail. However, a failure may be exactly what the Rogue Prince would want. Yes, Jaime would dispatch any would-be assassins, but the aftermath would force him to keep his guard up in the hours prior to the Trial by Combat. A well-rested Daemon would have factored this into keeping the Kingslayer off-balanced and fatigued. Jaime would still win, despite a handicap. He was able to give Brienne a fight, despite still being chained and having spent a year in captivity. A single restless night would barely take the top off his tank.
Hey Bloodraven good to see you! Yeah I agree with massively. Rattling Jaime won't be half as easy as rattling Daemon! Thanks for watching as always my friend! Liam
I think Old Daemon might fare a little better, I think by the time he fights Aemond he's got a bit more chill and is a bit more at peace. When we've had the Godseye we might revisit this! Thanks for watching Sedriss! Liam
7:39 plus Barry the Old being the second biggest Ser Jamie hater right next to that Frozen face fool, makes any praise coming from Ser Barry that much more meaningful and true in my opinion
Ah, if it isn't my favorite GoT youtubers. I wasn't expecting a new video before the annual mass Turkey sacrifice, but it is always welcomed. Jamie taking this win because of his ability to taunt feels very in line with Game of Thrones. Never underestimate the potency that Vicious Mockery can do to a person. The internet and online gaming prove that in spades.
Oh don't we know it matey 😂 one only has to take a look at the comments when they catch me or Thom having a bad day to know the impact of getting under someone's skin 😂 Thanks for watching as always buddy! Liam
Its also worth noting a valerian steel sword would be much thinner, allowing it to cut better and be lighter. Look at the Alexandria style long-sword, they are amazing swords in theory, but to fragile for hard use.
@MorallyDubiousFrog I'm saying it would make more sense for them to be thin, seeing as they are also described as cutting better which otherwise isn't how swords work.
I actually disagree with people who say Rob's biggest mistake was his honor i personally think that it was rather Rob and Neds choice of Allies and who they trusted that led to their demise as for both characters betrayal was devastating for them. Who you choose as allies matters
Barristan vs sandoq the shadow is an interesting VS to think about. I’d give it to barristan (the number one in the verse if not for author statements.) But I would to see your thoughts on this possible duel
All I'm going to say is you underestimate what having a better can opener does in a can opening contest... oh, and Jaime's shield is gone after about 15 seconds. Both are big deals.
It’s probably my hatred for Targaryens talking but my money goes to Jaime look forward to your videos as Always Also video suggestion Could Ned and Robert have stopped the Dothraki “and just for fun let’s put the Unsullied” if they had invaded when they were alive
Hey Alex thanks! You'll be getting your wish with regard to Ned when I get the script finished, the North is first up in our Drogo invading Westeros series! Thanks for watching buddy! Liam
Depends on if Boromir is being played by Shaun Bean or not. It's written into his contracts that his character must be killed off no matter what so in that instance he's a goner lol 😂
Aye there is, we do need season 3 possibly season 4 to get some footage for them though. Cregan Stark is also an absolute monster of a warrior. Thanks for watching as always metal head! Liam
I wonder if Daimon's reputation might push Jaime to giving it his all. Like he shows up knowing oh shit I'm fighting the Rogue prince! Gotta give it everything I have and not fuck around. If he goes in thinking it's just a random Valyrian he might get cocky and wrecked. But good video!
Thanks my insane highland friend! Yeah I think if Jaime knows before hand, Daemon is done for. Jaime when he's not clowning around could beat just about anything.......... assuming his sword doesn't get stuck that is 😂 thanks for watching as always mate we appreciate it! Liam
I don't know about that, you still had Selmy knocking around, Loras and Garlan are absolute beasts, there's Gregor and Sandor (and Sandor is supposedly to be a wickedly skilled swordsman) I think the bar was still pretty high, I'd always thought it was the kings guard who had declined, not the overall quality of Knights in general. Thanks you for watching! Liam
@ yea you got me there I was just thinking about the foes he had faced not being at the level he was at. He hasn’t faced selmy he may have Loras or garland in tournament but I think daemon definitely faced bigger foes in his life. And love the videos
You know that is more or less what Robert is thinking to about good'ol times [insert Renlys rent]. How much truth there lies in is a different question...with the exception of the kingsguard. The whole bunch was morally and the majority skillwise unfit for the position.
Great comparison. But I do have to wonder if the fact that they come from different eras might also play into it. Swordplay changes from century to century, so it's entirely possible that techniques and skills are better or more refined in one time period vs another. And with 200 years between them, it's likely another feather in Jaime's cap, given that "how to fight with a sword" has likely come a long way since Daemon's time ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I fully agree with the results here, though I might give a slightly more favorable win to Jaime than you did. While I do agree with the fight IQ and anger issues being the main source of Jaime's victory I also think with these two valyrian steel doesn't make as much of a difference as some others seem to believe. It is unbreakable and never loses its edge, yes but it's main advantage is being lighter and therefore quicker than a regular sword. Jaime is notably stronger and more muscular than Daemon meaning he simply won't be weighed down as much by his weapon. I've done HEMA in the past and in my experience one thing that can tip the scale is a fighter becoming worn out by the weight of their weapon and their arm getting more and more tired from repeatedly swinging it. To me this is the true advantage of valyrian steel. It's sharper and stronger but it doesn't cut through other steel so functionally in a duel it acts as just a sword. However being lighter weight without sacrificing any strength or cutting power is a HUGE advantage against some opponents. In the case of Jaime however, because he is notably stronger than Daemon I don't think it will make any difference. His sword will be of the best quality possible without having valyrian steel and his superior strength means he is unlikely to get tired out faster under the weight of his own weapon. To me weapons and equipment in this fight are dead equal so neither will really have an advantage on that front. This takes it back to skill and fight psychology and in both categories, Jaime wins.
"Tell me the Kingslayer was retaken." "Yes, though not easily. Jaime got hold of a sword, slew Poul Pemford and Ser Desmond's squire Myles, and wounded Delp so badly that Maester Wyman fears he'll soon die as well
To be fair, I think show Jaime would be able to fair quite well against show Daemon. We learn through Theon that he cut down 10 Northern soliders during the battle of Whispering Wood. TEN. While being overrrun. That's insane. In that battle in the book Jaime only took down two or three and he got his sword stuck in one of them.
I'd say, if they had equal equipment, Jaime wins relatively comfortably (like 7 out of 10). The sword makes Daemon level the playing field. Jaime has also seen several other warriors of legend and while he does let his arrogance get the better of him against the less renowned fighters (like Brienne), he'd be smart enough to take Daemon completely seriously. Daemon has shown that it doesn't matter how skilled a reputation his opponent has, Daemon's ego comes first.
Yeah this one is so close and to be honest with you I think as Daemon got older he kept getting smarter and his physical abilities didn't deteriorate that much so I could totally see this going Jamie's way
We'll definitely do old Daemon against someone when we get season 3 of HOTD! I agree with you he might actually be better in his older age! Thanks for watching! Liam
Before I watch the video I wanted to make a guess; the books seem to constantly note the greatest swordsman’s of all time were people like Arthur and Jaime is also in that category. I’ve never heard Daemon get compared to the GOATs and I’ve also never seen Jaime even speak about Daemon despite him being apart of a significant point in history. So my assumption is that while Daemon is extremely good, Jaime would win. The way Jaime is talked about makes him seem almost super human, much like the other GOATs of Westeros, and if he didn’t lose his hand he’d have likely just continued to grow in skill.
Not quite buddy! If you take both show versions I'd say yes from what we're shown, but Book Jaime and Show Jaime are two totally different characters when it comes to fighting ability. Thanks for watching Josh! Liam
This honestly is more about Daemon losing because we don't actually have enough known feats to compare him to the extensive amount that is known of Jamie in the books..... And the video is right.... if this were left purely up to the shows, Daemon would destroy Jaime. So maybe I'm a little show bias in believing that Daemon would beat Jaime, but that's what I believe.
I think we may have come across like we're trying to downplay him, that wasn't our intention. What we meant was more that he was good but not remembered as skilled warrior of note, he's not legendary level fighter like you can argue with Barristan and Arthur Dayne. Whereas Daemons Grandfather was supposedly extremely good and touching the top but not quite at it, with only the kingsguard gatekeeping him (and this was back when the kingsguard were the best fighters around) I don't think the amount of people you cut through is a testament of skill, I think it's more important who you cut through. The Mountain has also cut through hundreds of people, but most would agree he's a middling/just decent swordsman. That's just my opinion though, yours is perfectly valid also. Thanks for watching! Liam
That would drag the video past Thoms sweet spot my friend, and then he would kill me 😂 I do like the idea though! I might try to show horn it in the next one! Thanks for watching! Liam
On first thought, it has to be Jaime, if only because we have more data on him. That chapter when Brienne fights him, if he was that quick after spending months chained up and still wearing shackles, then a Jaime at 100 percent must be nigh superhuman. Jaime has the advantage of directly comparing himself to Barristan and Arthur Dayne, as you point out. Daemon came of age at such a peaceful interval that there were few renowned warriors even alive, and those were largely old men. Even Criston Cole is more of a tourney knight, if only due to lack of opportunity. Personally I see no significant difference in their respective experience levels. That lack of notable opponents for Daemon again brings what would otherwise be an advantage down to parity. In terms of personality, Jaime at least is slightly more circumspect. I don't know if that's an advantage or not however, given Daemon's willingness to be a bit underhanded. The relative restraint might backfire. In the end, what would give the contest to Daemon is Dark Sister and a cunning move or two, since Jaime either matches or surpasses him in every category. This leads to the somewhat ambiguous conclusion that Jaime is the better warrior overall, but Daemon would be better in just the right ways to win...most of the time...probably. Say 65/35 odds in favor of Daemon.
Great analysis warlord. I think that sword is such a massive wildcard. When one opponent is vastly better than the other I can imagine it doesn't make all that big of a difference, but when it's already two top dogs going at it, Is the sword a minor, major or game changing advantage? That's something I'd love to see when I get winds......... In my dreams. Thanks for watching as always mate! Liam
Jaime wins in my opinion. Reason is because he was born several years later, and with time comes improvement in everything, techniques of battle/duel inclusive. Jaime will probably have a better armor. This is of course assuming Daemon doesn't have his dragon.
Ironically Jaime's fight IQ, anger, arrogance, and tactical abilities all improved after he lost his hand. His arrogance came from his outrageous skill. Deprived of that he became a much more intelligent and calm fighter and a better and more honorable man. I always wanted to see Jaime gain his greater humility and cool tactical head without losing his hand. Had this been possible he would have been truly unstoppable in combat or on the battle field. I only wish he could have gained this without losing his hand but then I suppose we would have lost his brilliant character arc.
Daemon's father, Prince Balon was an excellent knight. Given the sword Dark Sister by his father Jahearys due to his superb skill. He slaughtered dozens of myrish pirates to avenge his brother (ignoring the hundreds he burnt on Vaghar)
The lore points to his father being a good warrior, but not something special from my interpretation. Whereas his grandfather was said to have been an extremely talented fighter, just not quite good enough to be on par with the kings guard (and this was back when the kingsguard actually meant you were one of the best fighters in the realm) Thanks for watching! Liam
I don't think Daemon is that far behind. The sword definitely is what puts him in with a chance though in my opinion. It helps bridge that gap a little in their skill Thanks for watching! Liam
One thing you could've mentioned in personality flaws is that Jamie was prone to awe. Jamie standing across from one of history's greatest swordsmen is going to effect him. Daemon doesn't give a shit who he has to kill. Jamie is prime Ali. Quick slick and Deadly. Daemon is prime Tyson. As Skillful but a fucking relentless hellbeast. The man is a SAVAGE. That is why I'd give it to Daemon. I pers
I think that's why the odds are so close for ethier, I don't even think Jaime winding Daemon up is a surefire tactic as it has the potential to just piss Daemon off into a frenzy that Jaime might not be ready for. Thanks for watching mate! Liam
@@TheFandomeClips oh tis way too close because this is the first of these videos where you're arguments haven't swayed me. And the only part I differ here is who the 6 out of ten goes to. Thank ye both for creating, Dónal.

If you're asking "who is the best warrior?" Then Jaime. GRRM talks about him with the likes of Arthur Dayne and Barriston. Daemon, while talented and ruthless, isn't spoken about in the same light. However, in a fight, Daemon would likely win. He weilds a Valyrian steel sword and is certainly good enough to hang with Jaime. I would side with Daemon. Jaime tries to fight like his role model, Arthur Dayne. Daemon is his own role model. He doesn't fight with honor. He fights to win. That's the difference. I would side with Daemon
I'm not one for taking author statements as gospel if they aren't backed up by something that happens in the story, Authors have a bad habit of changing their mind depending on the day 😂 but I do like your assessment and I do agree in a lot of regards. Jaime has to be careful, like extremely careful. Daemon is a savage beyond savage, he'll do whatever he feels is appropriate to win, honour and fair play be dammed! Thanks for watching buddy! Liam
@@TheFandomeClips going by his showing with Brianne I believe it if this emaciated and chained warrior could push Brianne despite being so injured I believe jaime wins
Daemon is very cool and competent in his own way, especially with his dragon, but we also see him lose his very first fight in the series to Cristin Cole. Jaime, on the other hand, is undefeated in the books and the show untill he's captured by the Starks, and even then it's said he killed a dozen men trying to bring him down. He's pretty confident that he could take on The Mountain if he still had his right hand. George R.R. Martin himself has said that he thinks Jaime could defeat Eragorn, who is a mythical savoir of humanity with Elf blood and is annointed by God.
I'd always take what authors say with a pinch of salt as they can have bias just like any of us, double so when it involves characters that don't belong to them. He also said Jaime could defeat Aragorn which is a statement about 99% of people who know both characters would heartedly disagree with. But your not wrong, Jaime is an absolute beast, when he's not dicking around he can beat just about anyone in his own universe. Thanks for watching buddy! Liam
Ser Arthur Dayne personally knighted Jaime for his part in defeating the Kingswood Brotherhood so he certainly respected him. Jaime is basically a decent man who's done some bad things whereas Daemon is an absolute psycho. Jaime wins a straight fight but Daemon can win if he fights dirty.
I think The Unsullied vs The Golden Company could be a cool comparison. Army vs army sounds neat

I've really had enough of everyone's shit" 😂
Thanks for watching Jeremy!
Yeah because daemon would crash out and kill everyone

Syrio Forel vs Khal Drogo
It's on the list buddy! Thanks for watching! Liam
Syrio gets crushed surely
@@John14710 Not necessarily. Drogo doesn't wear armour, remember and whilst he is known and not just fast, but sudden, Syrio is a master water-dancer. The lack of armour is a perfect example for, "All men are made of water, do you know this? If you pierce them, the water leaks out.. and they die!"
I'm not saying this means Syrio takes it, but keep it in mind. It would be a smashing contest though, I do concur.
Famedome, love the work. Looking to get into similar myself. Lots of ideas. Hopefully it shows soon.
Forel all day long. Rapier vs arakh in unarmoured combat. Rapier is faster and stabs are more dangerous than cuts.
Most are just going to say "but Jaime goat in skill, George says so Jaime stomps Daemon" 😂
It's the sort of match up that separates people whose fighting knowledge comes entirely from fiction (mainly anime) and people who have some real world experience.

Like... thats kinda the problem
We have heard from Jaimes deeds via statements, but the thing is that statements can be over exaggerated, especially if they are coming from people that are close to that person.
In a world like Westeros, chance and the circumstances of the day make more difference than sword skill and "power levels"
Hell to back up your Dayne point look at the fight between Brienne and the Hound in the show. Most would agree the Hound was favoured to win all things been equal, but he was absolutely knackered from sleeping rough, starved and had a wound that was on the verge of becoming septic, factors that didn't allow him to be at his best and so Brienne was able to beat him.
Thanks for watching buddy! Liam
Here’s an idea maybe do a video based on Dalton GreyJoy vs. Addum Valaryian “Oak Heart” I think he was referred to in the books
I don't know, but I'd be down to watch it play out!!
Jaime destorys Daemon and it's not even close
No announcement on the Discord? I almost missed this
ikr
Thom will be brutally punished guys don't worry! 😂 Thanks for watching guys!
Liam
Ill be honest I think their is, thanks for the response as always liam. You guys rock !!
@TheFandomeClips
I hate it when people say “rogue Prince” a better moniker is “the most dangerous man in Westeros”
I think a few other characters have held that title though (including Jaime himself) whereas Rouge prince is unique to Daemon as best I remember.
Thanks for watching buddy! Liam
That’s not his main nicknane tho. Too long
Both are absolute baller titles though, so no shame to take either.
for the next video i would recommend sandoq vs sandor
I would like to submit this battle for the VS series! Robert Baratheon the Demon of the Trident vs the Greatjon Umber both in their prime and with signature weapons.
That's a very spicy match up James, Reach Vs Power between two well trained warriors! Added to the list!
Thanks for watching as always mate! Liam
Ok, the video I’ve been waiting for since starting to watch HotD. Is that ur real voice tho?
Hi John, it's my real voice in the sense that's it's not AI or had anything done to alter it aye 😂 but this could probably be categorised as my teacher/lecturer/public speaking voice, my conversation voice is a little softer but sounds roughly the same
Thanks for watching! Liam
Fair assessment
Greatjon vs Bronn. It‘s assumed that Bronn may have a shot vs the Mountain so it‘s interesting to see what he does to a a little bit smaller but also maybe a little smarter Greatjon. In this duel the physical category can finally be used
Problem is GreatJon is a much better fighter than Gregor and probably not as stupid. I feel like it would be even harder for Bronn lol
Thanks for watching as always HK! Liam
@ feel like that’s why it would be interesting. Bronn can beat the Mountain but can he beat the Greatjon?
Kid slayer vs king slayer?
We all know who wins🦁🗿🔥
Haha I knew this one would make you happy (I know it's really you behind that keyboard Jaime!)
Thanks for watching buddy! Liam
It's not a fair comparison though to be honest
was this inspired by the our hits hurt video from a few months ago?
I'm afraid not. We're good pals with the guys at Hilts (and we're super happy for their recent success) and we love their Jaime Vs Daemon video, but that's more about who's a better character. This was just something we've had a lot of requests for in our Vs suggestions channel in our discord and me and Thom really like both characters so we thought why not for a bit of fun :)
We try not to poach other channels ideas if we can help it (unless we think we can do something different with the idea) and they nailed their go at comparing the characters, our attempt would just be a poor imitation I think.
Thanks for watching MC! Liam
Hell yeah!! Let's Go!!!!!!!!
Take heart though buddy, Jaime only takes it one more time than Daemon in our opinion, it's almost 50/50
Thanks for watching as always mate! Liam
I’d like to see a a video on how the wildlings or nights watch could win/survive the game of thrones.
I feel like saving the population of King's landing is a pretty good feat
One match up i would love to see is victarion greyjoy vs brieanne. I dont know who will win but i know it would be a crazy fight
That's probably a pretty good match up for Brienne! Vic is still a big guy and a savage warrior but not so big Brienne wouldn't be able to manage him. I'm keen to see what that black lava hand if his can do, as that might be a game changer!
Thanks for watching Clint! Liam
Honestly this one is a close call on everything. Literally would need a yellow legal pad and write down a list of all events
I mean........ Daemon did lose that round because of his arrogance and temper. I don't really think we discounted it 😂
Thanks for watching! Liam
A good robert matchup would be robert vs sandog possible or sandog vs the mountain
Or do something with daemon blackfyre
@@thepunisher6674 Robert in his prime vs the Hound is tough. On prelim the Hound is probably more skilled, a little bit stronger and maybe more overall vicious. Maybe. Bobby B is the fury after all. And Bobby probably has more stamina, his hammer is useful kit and he fights a lot of bigger battles than Sandor does.
Liam
@
He definitely won’t appear in hotd because that would be awesome and that show doesn’t let us have good things
I don't think Daemon will get provoked knowing The opponent he's fighting.
Remember he always did it when he knew he can be against them . When they r weaker than him .
He's cunning. He's confident but not overconfident. He's gonna win it with really high difficulty.
Read the books , Jaime destroys Daemon
I did say to Thom this is a stomp, Jaime's good but he's not 1v1 Caraexes good, so we had to put that nerf in place 😂
Yeah I'm not a fan of those "it's too close, either will take it" conclusions you get in some Vs videos.
Who do you guys think would be a good match for Cregan Stark? I'd like to see him in one of these videos but I ain't sure who'd be a good rival.
Liam
@TheFandomeClips as if I needed more reason to dislike HBO for the lack of Cregan in the show. Thanks for the answer.
If the 7 main houses were to all die, which kingdom would be best off with the second strongest house running things? My vote is the reach but idk
Liam
Now i wonder what it would look with Old Daemon VS Jaime
I think Old Daemon might fare a little better, I think by the time he fights Aemond he's got a bit more chill and is a bit more at peace.
When we've had the Godseye we might revisit this!
Thanks for watching Sedriss! Liam
who'd win between Daemon and Jaime?
Ned: I don't fart in tournaments
7:39 plus Barry the Old being the second biggest Ser Jamie hater right next to that Frozen face fool, makes any praise coming from Ser Barry that much more meaningful and true in my opinion
Pleas could you do the hound vs bronn good ser 🤔
I can add it to the list old Spice!
Thanks for watching! Liam
Oh don't we know it matey 😂 one only has to take a look at the comments when they catch me or Thom having a bad day to know the impact of getting under someone's skin 😂
Thanks for watching as always buddy! Liam
Its also worth noting a valerian steel sword would be much thinner, allowing it to cut better and be lighter. Look at the Alexandria style long-sword, they are amazing swords in theory, but to fragile for hard use.
They aren’t thinner. They’re the same size as regular blades, but made of a magixal alloy that is lighter and never dulls.
@MorallyDubiousFrog I'm saying it would make more sense for them to be thin, seeing as they are also described as cutting better which otherwise isn't how swords work.
Do one on who would and wouldn't bear Strongboar Crakehall.
That's Jaimes strong buddy isn't it?
@TheFandomeClips yes. He wants all the smoke with Blackfish or The Hound.
I’d give it to barristan (the number one in the verse if not for author statements.)
But I would to see your thoughts on this possible duel
All I'm going to say is you underestimate what having a better can opener does in a can opening contest... oh, and Jaime's shield is gone after about 15 seconds. Both are big deals.
It’s probably my hatred for Targaryens talking but my money goes to Jaime look forward to your videos as Always
Also video suggestion Could Ned and Robert have stopped the Dothraki “and just for fun let’s put the Unsullied” if they had invaded when they were alive
Hey Alex thanks! You'll be getting your wish with regard to Ned when I get the script finished, the North is first up in our Drogo invading Westeros series!
Thanks for watching buddy! Liam
Who wins? Smaug vs the belrog. Who can kill smaug?
Could Lord Denethor, Faramir and Boromir survive the war of the five kings.
I mean we know the answer for Boromir...
Depends on if Boromir is being played by Shaun Bean or not. It's written into his contracts that his character must be killed off no matter what so in that instance he's a goner lol 😂
Is there even enough characters for a top 10 Warriors from HotD? Daemon, Criston are the only sure fire names on that list that I can recall.
Liam
He wouldn't need his all to be honest . Daemon couldn't kill Brienne and Jaime nearly killed her when he was like 25% with bound hands lol
Deamond the knights of his time where a cut above the ones after the rebellion when Jamie came into his own after Dane’s gone.
Are there any hotd warriors that can beat the mountain
"Tell me the Kingslayer was retaken."
"Yes, though not easily. Jaime got hold of a sword, slew Poul Pemford and Ser Desmond's squire Myles, and wounded Delp so badly that Maester Wyman fears he'll soon die as well
I think it’s time for a deep dive into Aragorn vs Arthur Dayne. (I know the question was Aragorn or Jamie but I think Jamie needs a break)
Or a young barristan
To be fair, I think show Jaime would be able to fair quite well against show Daemon. We learn through Theon that he cut down 10 Northern soliders during the battle of Whispering Wood. TEN. While being overrrun. That's insane. In that battle in the book Jaime only took down two or three and he got his sword stuck in one of them.
daemon got merked by cole twice how is this even fair
Not in the show he didn't 😂 seemed like he had cole dead to rights and only lost due to showboating
Thanks for watching! Liam
Alright fandom time to choose who would you rather be locked in a room with? Smaug? Or The Belrog? Who is the absolute worst?
2:51 I thought GRRM said Dayne (and selmy) was THE best. Not for his time, but of all time
I'd say, if they had equal equipment, Jaime wins relatively comfortably (like 7 out of 10).
Pretty spot on guess of what we say about their skill and training in fairness! 😂 Thanks for watching matey! Liam
Funny thing is we only seen Jamie swing his sword once and for some reason i always felt no one could beat him..
2:24 So Matt Smith wins the contest for sword skill.
We know that Jamie is not shy of charging agains a dragon from horseback
I mean Baelon the Brave also wielded Dark Sister and cut down hundreds of myrmen on Tarth, so why would you consider him a middling swordsman?
I think we may have come across like we're trying to downplay him, that wasn't our intention. What we meant was more that he was good but not remembered as skilled warrior of note, he's not legendary level fighter like you can argue with Barristan and Arthur Dayne. Whereas Daemons Grandfather was supposedly extremely good and touching the top but not quite at it, with only the kingsguard gatekeeping him (and this was back when the kingsguard were the best fighters around)
I don't think the amount of people you cut through is a testament of skill, I think it's more important who you cut through. The Mountain has also cut through hundreds of people, but most would agree he's a middling/just decent swordsman. That's just my opinion though, yours is perfectly valid also.
Thanks for watching! Liam
A pity how they would do jousting didn't make it in, or how they would do with swords while ahorse.
Whereas his grandfather was said to have been an extremely talented fighter, just not quite good enough to be on par with the kings guard (and this was back when the kingsguard actually meant you were one of the best fighters in the realm)
Thanks for watching! Liam
Jaime definitely gives Daemon a run for his money on the battlefield. But Daemon definitely gives Jaime a run for his money in the family circle 💀
Yes, Daemon has a chance but no sane person would bet on him 😅
Jaime is one of the grandest fighters in history while Daemon is carried by his sword 😅
I don't think Daemon is that far behind. The sword definitely is what puts him in with a chance though in my opinion. It helps bridge that gap a little in their skill
Thanks for watching!
Thank ye both for creating, Dónal.
yeah nah daemon was good but he was never ranked as the best of his era COLE WAS, daemon was just a white bull of his era sure hes good but no one gonna sing his praises as the best now if was blackfyre now then I can say hell yeah
