SO glad I managed to secure the last (allegedly) 1250 Triple black adventure in the U.K! last week. I WAS waiting for the 1300 but had to go for it before I lucked out and BOY am I glad i did! I think the residuals on 1250's got a little stonger last week... SHOCKINGLY ill informed design! as for the extra 10 bhp! , NEVER have I thought 'oh my 1100/1150/1200 (and now 1250) GSA needs more power!
I have to say that when I looked at the reelece of the R1300GSA I thought it was ugly but when I went onto the configuration a saw the triple black and also the tramentana green I was hooked. I ride a R1250GSA 40 year’s edition, black and yellow and that’s the most beautiful bike of them all but when you configurate the triple black with all its accessories it looks stunning! My new dream bike for sure!👍
I’m not the target audience for a GS Adventure - however, I have to say, I think I like it more than the other models. It’s got a sort of Anima, Cyberpunk-esc look with the squarer shapes and larger, flat metal-looking tank panels. I’m sure when people have the time to let their initial reaction abate, and get the chance to see one in person - they’ll warm to the new, daring direction BMW have gone in.
The HD Pan Am also automatically lowers the suspension if set-up this way. No need to press a button. The difference though is that the new GS can also do it at the front suspension. The HD can only do it at the rear which is why probably the effect is more pronounced on the GS. I tested the HD Pan Am fitted with it and even though I’m tall enough to really need it I found it to be a great comfort extra.

I'm 5'5 and have a 1250 GS low suspension, I'm guessing a lot of other buyers are voting with their dollars too for the low suspension models. BMW is chasing the market
@@zachecho9167 - The 1300 GS with ride height adjustment works well for shorter riders. It's hard to find a one-size-fits-all solution. I ride a S 1000 R, which gets very uncomfortable after 300 miles. It's fun though.

It is a more quirky, bold design, which looks like it takes some styling elements from the big-tanked Paris Dakar bikes of the 80's. Looks better in the flesh when you can see the curved part of the tank. The images released make it look very slab like. I think this a much better looking bike than the regular new GS. The side lights complement the center light super well. The big tank yes it’s big just like the old bike and for me it looks great. The 1300 GS I actually did not like but this adventure model for me it looks great!
I really like it, looks like a tank of a bike, just what the GSA is supposed to look like. People who struggle with change will mellow in opinion with time.

I still remember well that Ford released the futuristic Sierra in the early 1980s as a successor to the classic Taunus. The world was in shock! But after a few years people started to like it and eventually other manufacturers started copying the Sierra. I expect the same from this BMW.
I’m not totally opposed to this GSA, looks will take getting used to but so has every new one. I’m trying to understand the automatic transmission… besides the need for it if you a medical reason or handicap, I get that. What’s the advantage otherwise? Will the auto clutch burn out down a 100 mile road of sand or deep gravel or would it make it easier to navigate??
I agree that the red colour makes the "Blockiness" look a lot worse. I actually really like the triple black with the tinted clear coat tank. Looking forward to seeing one in the flesh. Also looking forward to seeing what they do with the rumoured R1300RT!!
