    I absolutely love the colors you have used! And the Wash idea to bring out the details on the flesh and wings, brilliant! I'd like to try on a model of my own. Pro tip; When trying to get coverage with your white like you had to do, look on your color wheel to the opposite side of the relative color on your model currently. Then tint the white with a small amount of that opposite color. The one you found on your color wheel. This dramatically increases the coverage capacity of that white over that particular color.
    I hope you find that useful.
    Cheers!

    Love that fix to bring the scales back out. Theres a few cloaks i need to go back and do that to. I also love that blackened metal and that it is so simple to do. I stumbled on somthing similar with ratling grime and some overly shiny armour on a test model that changed it from tin soldier to menacing af instantly - i dont have a lot of paints and im still not sure what they all do with each other yet so it was a nice surprise. Great vid again!

    I actually stumbled into a good use for the black legion. I used it for black armour for my STE; base spray leadbelcher, cover with black legion, dry brush with iron hands steel (I assume any other metal would be fine). Helps it read as black metal armour that knights might have rather than the flat plastic blue if my ultramarine power armour

    That yellow is amazing and you'v got to love how easy it is to get a stunning colour with it. The only part I wondered is when you added a wash to darken the cracks, as brilliant as it looks, wouldn't an oil wash have given a good result with less effort without worrying about darkening the yellow? Just wondering what your thought processes is when deciding a wash method?

    • @ArtisOpus
      @ArtisOpus  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hey dude, it would, 100%, if that was the only intent - I'm fine with the depth added to the surface of the scales, it shades a little according to texture, and flters, adding that warmth.
      If you wanted to just go for the cracks, the oil wash would be far superior, maybe it'd work for the albino style one you can see me referring to for shading reference, for example.

    I mix in extra contrast medium in to the strogest of the contrast colors, i realy like the new 27 colors, and try to mix some of the Black legion in to some nuln oil, makes it darker and better in my opinion, and that sewer contrast(cant remember the full name) is great to do dark wood and the darkest parts of leather. Good to hear, dude, so you're basically using them to tint things, and behave like shades? (That's not critical, if it sounds it, they'll make some colours that aren't in the shades range).
      I will probably give them a test, if they're good, Vallejo know their stuff, so I presume they won't be a rushed product, and will have a place in the market. There's so much out there that we tend to be pretty picky :)

    I just watched a bunch of vid on it from SchnauzerFaceMinis, Zumikito Miniatures, Angel GiraldeZ and Nights at the Game Table.

      It's a prototype I came up with because it's something I've wanted for a long time, I paint in a small space and it's incredibly useful.
      A few people have asked, we will fine tune it, and show a picture to see if it's something people would be interested in.

    Why the Vallejo game air silver and not model color silver? Why is it „super easy“? Just curious, I honestly don’t know why. Is it so much better?

    • @ArtisOpus
      @ArtisOpus  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey dude, good question! It's super smooth (as it's forumlated for airbrushing), there's no downsides when using it with a brush, asides from it potentially being a little runny... but it's so strong this isn't an issue :)
