The Luke and Mara theme has an air of Return of the Jedi, a nice follow up - I'm a big fan of that musical score (I've listened to the album over and over) and I'm extremely impressed! I like the Battle and graceful menacing Thrawn themes as well - great work!
Think Thrawn’s new music is better, but that Mara and Luke theme should be at the end of Dave’s movie, cause it ends exactly like the music at the end of ROTS, and with it being heavily inspired by across the stars, it’s like poetry, it rhymes, with Luke publicly being able to embrace his relationship with Mara, cause he can now define the jedi, unlike Anakin, who had to live in secret regarding his relationship with Padme.
This feels as authentic as the OT. Best non-Williams Star Wars I've ever heard. Beware the Mouse though!

Absolutely, incredibly, masterfully brilliant! The Thrawn Trilogy is the true first sequel Trilogy, in my mind, and imagination. Thank you for giving me a musical score to listen to, before I listen to the Heir To The Empire audio book once again. The musical excellence of this score inspires me as I write my own Star Wars Story!

The Mara Jade theme should be played, streamed, recorded, and uploaded at Star Wars celebration, even if Mara Jade never becomes canon again, it’s the the perfect mix of across the stars, and the OG music, truly and incredible masterpiece.
Luke and Mara's theme is so beautiful I legitimately want to cry 😭 I know this music is for the trilogy and not the later duology but it fits so well with their story in _Vision of the Future_

The channel Darth Angelus has almost made the entire HTTE book as an animated fan film series, it's incredible, and could really use the Mara theme.
This needs to be in Darth Anguels Heir to the Empire series. I love Luke and Mara’s theme, it reminds me of across the stars kinda a bit. I also love thrawns theme, tbh it sounds better than his Rebels theme.
As much as I like Thrawn's theme in this - I disagree with that last part. Everything else I agree with, though.
They’re both great in very distinct ways. This one is incredible, that one is incredible. Probably still prefer his Rebels theme because it’s been around for so long and it’s nostalgic.
Absolutely, I'm going to bug him about it. Thrawns theme should be used especially in the final battle, and 'The battle' maybe when the katana fleet battle happens
The Thrawn theme sounds great but it's TOO bombastic, and honestly too varied and "Creative" to work as a character theme especially for the more close up moments. Kiner's Rebels theme works for Thrawn brooding in his Museum-chamber, or walking onto the bridge. Arturo's works for Thrawn taking direct command of a battle and mastering his enemies. Works for the battles of Sluis Van, Coruscant, and Bilbringi.
Exactly, the Mara theme would be perfect for that series, although Thrawn's rebels theme that he's used multiple time in the series works better than the one here imo.

That Luke and Mara theme at 5:53 has some definite hallmarks from Across The Stars. The instruments used, even the opening two notes on the woodwind's main melody--oboe, clarinet?--are the same as Across the Stars. I love all of it. Well done!

Your work is magnificent and inspiring. A damn shame Star Wars has fallen so low under Disney. I will always view the EU as the original and canonical timeline. So many wonderful characters and stories....Disney's corporate fanfiction can't hold a candle to what came before.
Thrawn's Theme very sinister, much like the character, Mara's theme is lovely, shares similarities with lukes theme and across the stars, and the rest is awesome
I'm always looking for new Star Wars music. And I finally found you. You truly transported me to that galaxy far, far away. If they would only approach you to make a complete recording of the Thrawn trilogy like they had done with Shadows of the Empire...that would be amazing. Consider myself subscribed. :)
My thoughts exactly, having an entire album to develop new themes and tie them to the old ones the way McNeely did would be such a pleasure. I've been waiting a very long time to hear music doing justice to this book trilogy, this track is truly amazing.

“Beyond The Stars” is the perfect name for this! Anakin and Padmé may have gone across the stars but Luke and Mara went far beyond!

I've been coming back to this video for 2 years now. I am still in awe of this music. This has to be the best non-Williams soundtrack composed for Star Wars... ever. I still cannot get over how wonderful Luke and Mara's theme is. I would love for you to make more for the other EU stories!

This is pretty good! The only thing is that I would use Kevin Kiner's Thrawn's web from Star Wars Rebels for Thrawn's theme instead, it really captures his essence. But this is awesome.
After the Mandalorian last episode... I think we really might get something like this. Just have that feeling... Also Thrawn confirmed alive and possible live action debut

This whole thing is beyond breathtaking, especially the theme for Mara Jade. Thank you so much for this. More people need to listen to this masterpiece, it's incredible! Your work is perfect for the original Star Wars Expanded Universe/Legends Universe. Now I wish I could hear a theme for Lumiya and music for the famous duel between her and Luke from the old Marvel comics. And the Dark Empire Trilogy. That would be amazing too.

I cried. This was released on my birthday and I only just now listened to it after feeling complete despair from watching the Rise of Skywalker. This was just what I needed. The good Star Wars still exists. It's just not made by Disney.
I feel the same and Disney made me want to read all books after 25 bby. Previously I've been reading all Zhan and Anderson books and I've realised that I prefer seeing Jagged Fel and Gilad Pellaeon rather than Hux and Kylo.

this is absolutely incredible. loved the new touches to the title crawl sequence. the thrawn theme is intimidating and elegant, really in character. the theme for mara jade and luke was AMAZING. i loved the familiar yet refreshing tones. the parallels to "across the stars" really take it to the next level. AND THE OBI WAN AND LEIA THEME RENDITIONS AT THE END. CHILLS.

I love listening to this soundtrack. This does suit the entire Thrawn Trilogy if it were a live action trilogy as well as the books themselves.
In an alternate dimension, we got Episode 7 instead of Episode 1 in 1999.
Lucas was mooting Episode 1 in 1980 I think. I do remember he was thinking about running episodes out of order.
Still wonder what he would have made of the prequel trilogy if the last of special effects had constrained him. I assume they would have been a lot better.

I love the battle theme and love theme but the Thrawn theme seems too fast and varied. It's a perfect say, MAJOR battle theme for Thrawn, something to play as his greatest strategies come into play and turn the tide. But for something like walking in on him in his thinking chambers, or him walking out onto the bridge, I feel like Kiner's theme in Rebels works better.

I can't imagine how a score of the comicbook Star Wars Legacy composed by you will sound like ^^ Damn, it will be epic only to hear Darth Talon's Theme.

No doubt some very good stuff in here. The Thrawn theme is perhaps a little over-wrought as it feels a bit like original Flash Gordon/Buck Rogers of the 1930's, which in some ways makes it curiously more relevant, going back to the source as it were.
Honestly, it's very fitting for "the Heir to the Empire".

Congratulations. This sounds more like Star Wars than what Williams himself created for the Sequels. But you used a lot of musical cues from other Star Wars soundtracks so its a bit of cheating ;) Great nontheless
