Diavolo's themes: *Choir of doom*
Doppio's themes: *Tortured screams*
Welp doppio is basically a victim of diavolo a kind soul trapped within the incarnation of evilness
Fdm
I see it more like Doppio is the real person with schizophrenia/dual personality disorder (hence the screams, they’re like voices) and Diavolo is the second personality (the choir of doom is like the fantasy Doppio imagined for him).
It could may be a better view actually
That was the point of his character: their mental conditions are so messed up you would never know who's the real dominant personality.
But usually a second personality serves to compensate the lack of particular "qualities" of the first and vice versa
Damn pretty interesting
that reminds me of the time risotto calmly explains about double personalities why doppio is screaming agony in the background.
Bruno Bishop I mean when Chariot Requiem swapped everyone‘s souls Doppio‘s soul was in the body of Bucciarati and Diavolo had to share a body with somebody again. Sooo I think that‘s enough evidence to show that Diavolo is the second personality.

Diavolo is literally a Kira's averse.
Everyone had seen the Kira and nobody know what's his real nature.
Everyone know Diavolo's nature but nobody had seen him.
Both of them are motovated by the fact they don't want to be disturbed.
But while Kira still wishes to live in the public eye even as he commits murders in secret to fufill his urges, Diavolo wants to live almost completely in isolation from society while making sure there's no threat to the mafia empire he rules from the shadows.
Seeing how angry Diavolo gets and how obsessed he is over his privacy and identity it made me feel kind of sorry for him. He seems to me other than funny valentine as the most human of the jojo villains which is strange given his origin. The paranoia he constantly feels that makes him take the kind of measures he does to ensure he stays isolated must be utterly debilatating. Wealthy and powerful mob boss or no. He cant speak in person to anybody even his own most trusted men without killing them and he completely loses his shit when he finds out about Trish. Just kind of sad when you compare it to the life he easily could have had as the most powerful criminal in Italy
@@nathanielleack4842 and that is King Crimson's weakness apparently. If there's too many people around,he will be exposed and weaken him
And Kira had 2 faces for one mind. Diavolo had 2 mind for one face.
@Tornike Tvalchrelidze I find diavolo less likely to run into than kira. I mean think about it. Diavolo is a mob boss and you being a normal citizen wouldn't even run into the literal leader of the mafia. The only ones who are even remotely close to him is the guards and even they don't have a clue on who he is. Kira however is that guy sitting next to you on a bus or subway. You could be reading a newspaper about the latest murder and accidentally make 2 second eye contact with kira. He knows you KNOW about the murder and you LOOKED in his direction. Knowing how obsessed he is about keeping his identity a secret,he'd no doubt follow you and take you out just to be safe.

I just realised why king crimson has a little head on his forehead,
since Diavolo and Doppio are literally the same person, his stand manifested both of their abilities, doppios epitaph and diavolos time erase. And since diavolo is the greater version, the stand revolves around him and doppio being an "assist", like a face on his forehead.
oh damn
uhm, pretty sure the head is just epitaph
@@DyzioThingsGang yeah, epitaph can see the future, possibly referring to doppios "ability"
But we know Doppio is the original personality because King Crimson doesn't work without Epitaph while Epitaph works without it.
@@vortechstg4091 King Crimson would work, he just wouldn't know what he was skipping or why.
Diavolo is hands down the best villain for all the things dio didn’t do
Yes, he did actually build the empire DIO dreamt of, first in Italy, but it could have grown bigger, in Europe or arround the mediterranean sea.
@Mus-taarD lol
Eh...
Only because Diavolo never met anyone with similar time powers.
As soon as he did - he got destroyed.
Heck, he almost got killed by Risotto, who's ability is much weaker.
@@user-or8ql3fe5v For the most part, only Doppio was fighting Risotto. If Diavolo fought Risotto from the start, the battle would've ended much quicker.
I've been wanting to write this for a while.
I love how Diavolo has no theme, but a conjuction of leifmotiffs, which makes his influence and grasp on the mafia very symbolic.
Other's themes are nothing more than his own theme, forging them, as if their story only began when Passione expanded.
Except for Bruno's gang, because THEIR story began with Bruno, not Diavolo. That's why they were above La Squadra
Bonus S U C C Which „other‘s themes“ you mean exactly? Btw I agree with about more than one motif
@@DrCrimson_ For example Bruno, a little part on Ciocolatta, and even some parts of Risottos themes
Bonus S U C C I don’t hear any similarities at all. Could you point out them to me?
@@DrCrimson_ First of all, thank you for taking the time to read this!
Lets start
First of all, Bruno
His theme actually is this one th-cam.com/video/hQmKt8iU08Y/w-d-xo.html
Not to be confused with Fierce Fight. Although here you can listen to Diavolo’s motiff clearly. Fierce Fight is the theme when Bruno faces off Diavolo for the first time.th-cam.com/video/cRNKTKT6dyw/w-d-xo.html
Bruno’s theme consists on an intro with a guitar, then some zippers followed by a riff. After this riff (20 seconds in) his motiff is just Diavolo’s motiff (We will call it “Control” for easier reference) sped up and with a guitar. th-cam.com/video/UsKLvtTOeYo/w-d-xo.html
Since its a motiff, its almost the same on every Diavolo Song. It’s the intro, the signature vocals.
Polpo’s theme is the introduction to Hermit, they literally reused the theme for Polpo’s scene. th-cam.com/video/-hFpdmaZmJ4/w-d-xo.html
Tizano’s theme is a modification of Hermit’s. Only the intro.
th-cam.com/video/2jlG3OCHY_U/w-d-xo.html
Risotto’s theme has the Fierce Fight theme inside of him. Refer to the link I pasted earlier. At 1:38 there is a piano, that scales and then de-scales again. If you listen very closely at the second half of Magnetica, there is some kind of percusive bass (not the metalic bangs) that are the same melody as FIerce Fight. Also, the piano WANTS to come in right after, but Metallica’s own motiff stops it time and time again th-cam.com/video/mKHP6Vl80xk/w-d-xo.html
Secco has the Control motiff in the form of Cello’s. Just after 1:20, its pretty noticable.
th-cam.com/video/os2nJP7oQgY/w-d-xo.html
Ciocolatta is hard. I believe there is some sort of theme in there, that gets cut off but I cannot find it. Make your own conclusions I guess.
Polnareff seems out of this rule but his edited theme from Part 3 is a banger.
From that point onwards, Control seizes to appear on any theme aside Diavolo. He lost everything he worked to build, nobody but himself to back him up. He lost *control* over the situation, huh, huh?
Super weird, Silver Chariot Requiem Transfiguration, kinda shares a motiff with hermit?? Probably another theme I cannot remember, but its familiar too.
Strangely enough, Trish Una has in there someone elses theme (not sure whom, sounds familiar) but not Diavolo’s, not even reversed.
And that is it, that is the extent of Diavolo’s motiff. Im sure there are more, but I am not an expert on music, just a fan.
I skipped all of La Squadra cuz they basically borrow from Metallica and Diavolo. I skipped the gang cuz that would be a Bruno motiff analysis, not a Diavolo one

Technically, lotta feroce is Bucciarati's theme as well. It's used for the fight between Diavolo and Bucciarati, and you can tell that, although it has Diavolo's usual instrumentation and his melody in most parts, some parts of it play Bucciarati's theme with Diavolo's instruments.
The same un'altra persona is playing when Pesci cries for Prosciutto. So that...
UserVixes Well that doesn’t mean anything. They just used it to settle the mood. Like Lotta Feroce was definitely composed for Bruno vs Boss (containing both of their themes), but they used it for several battles without Diavolo
@@DrCrimson_ The same applies for a lot of tracks, too. Take Il vento d'oro, for instance. As is the case in every JoJo part that Yugo Kanno composed for, the main theme was also the protagonist's theme, but the motif within was often used for a number of other instances besides main character moments because it sounded cool with the action.

I like Diavolo as a villain. His enigmatic personality and his excessive narcissism, contrasted with his paranoia of defeat makes his personality really interesting. He's a man that always gets when he wants, and his destructive anger emerges when something doesn't go in his way.

Dia- -that's why he's my favourite villain
Even though it doesn't have the same motif as the other themes, Misfortune is also one of Doppio/Diavolo's theme.
Yeah it doesn’t have diavolo motif in it, but it’s definitely a doppio-centered theme, as it only played during the anime 3 times for doppio.
Actually, 0:46 - 1:12 you can hear the same motif
@@DrCrimson_ Oh yeah but I meant the ahhhhhh ahhhhhhhh ahhhhhhhhh noises.
Diavolo, just as in the anime, has no direct theme. His theme is all motifs together.
Ahhhh ahhh is probably the closest to him but another one includes the kinda piano at the beginnikgnof Fierce Fight which is a variant of Brunos motif

I love how instruments and note arrangements are repeated in all of these songs,
Like the organ, voices, and even the footsteps
There are so many little details about these two down to their very names
That's what makes them my favorite villans
(Along with fashion taste)
Reminder that David Productions gave the VA role of Diavolo to the guy who made Jonathan's voice in the Phantom Blood movie that has disappeared
Really respectful idea
I think 15:16 is literally one of the best OSTs out there.
Counter attack also

@@user-wl3zk6kj3q Even if I was referring to the way it's composed, like the static to represent Epitaph's power etc.
Federico Binaghi same here I agree. When a theme fits a character so much it's easy to like it more.
Damn right

I just got chills the first time in a while after watching this video a couple of times, I got goosebumps when I listened to Double all the way through.
Diavolos ability: Time Erase

Part Six Spoilers
IMO Diavolo and Giorno's Requiem are the only ones who have a chance at beating Pucci's Made In Heaven.
I would've loved to see Diavolo do it, it's my understanding that with Epitaph he can predict where Pucci will strike, and eliminate the time he does strike, stand right next to Pucci, and resume time. Easy kill.
well if u think about mihs ability that 10 seconds in the future diavolo sees will be way less then a nano second in real time
if pucci attacks diavolo and he erases time it will still be too fast for him to react for example jotaros stopped time the second it ended pucci does the whole *teleports behind u* thing and kills him
giorno cant do anything about pucci because from what we see he has to be attacked to reverts everything to zero pucci dosnt have to attack him to attain heaven else the reset or the PRE reset or something would have been reversed
Since the Diavolo and Giorno's versions of Traitor's Requiem are in the OST Track, can we count both of them ?
Hayato StarGod what are the traitor requiem version names exactly?
