Snogen (The Grass Snake) is an INCREDIBLE Danish loam trail | Trail Preview [4K]

The Nordskoven MTB Trail in Silkeborg in Denmark offers three MTB trails with different levels of difficulty. What they have in common is the beautiful nature through which the well-maintained trail system. You can either start the eastern side of the Nordskoven at Silkeborg, from the western side at Sejs or start at the Skydebanen with entrance from Aarhusvej. The Nordskoven MTB Trail in Silkeborg is extremely well maintained with a lot of help from volunteers who use the trails in the Nordskoven forest themselves. The blue (easy difficulty) main trail stretches over 9.4 kilometers, but if you mountain bike the red loops (intermediate difficulty), you reach 11.5 kilometers. With the black diamond trail loops included, you ride a total of 12.4 kilometers between the Nordskoven's large Douglas firs and beautiful beech trees.
However there is also a Training Zone (træningsområdet in Danish), where mountain bikers are allowed to freeride and crate their own loam trails and lines. This is unique and not something that is usually allowed in Denmark, where there is a lot of legislation, when it comes to usage of the forest - not only for mountain bikers, but also hikers, horseriders and so on.
In this mountain biking GoPro POV video I am riding Snogen (The Grass Snake) MTB trail within the Training Zone in Nordskoven near Silkeborg in Denmark. This particular trail has been part of the Danish Trail Cup (Danish Enduro Series) in different variations combined with other loam trails in Nordskoven, so this MTB video also serves as a sneak peak of how we ride MTB competitions in Denmark. Snogen (The Grass Snake) is a fairly technical MTB loam trail with a few off-camper sections, drops over roots and small jumps at the end - and a lot of natural features. It's fixed! Snogen (The Grass Snake) in the Training Zone does not have a difficulty grading, but personally I would grade it intermediate.
The Nordskoven MTB Trail in Silkeborg is one of the many fantastic MTB trails around Silkeborg with Vesterskoven and Silkeborg Bikepark being other impressive MTB trails. In the near proximity you will find Danmarks Tag and Gjern MTB Trail, which are definitely worth a visit.
