Yes, many customers simply don't have enough room for a pool table in their house with enough room to cue freely all around the table for every shot, so using smaller cues is common place.

My room space is about 320 cm width and 475cm length. Can my room fit a 6ft table?
basically you need a good 5 ft around all of thwe table or 152cm's
or you'll need a shorter cue
Add 5 feet to each side of your desired size of table. If your room is not that size go down a table size or go to the club. Example 4'x8' = 14'x18' room for comfortable play area. If you have to use anything but a 57-60" cue don't bother.
I disagree. Upon some research (a visit down to my local club a few months ago) I noticed that most people use a 57" cue with about 3 inches hanging off the end. In other words, most people can cue quite comfortable with a 55" cue. I've got a 57" space between my table and wall and I use the 55" cue all the time without the need to use my 57" cue.
@@MK-rk4no Unfortunately a snooker cue does not come 57". I believe a 11 mm or smaller is 60". The question was how much space you need not your preference. Cue sizes 36, 42 , 48, 57 and 60". This does not take into consideration of cue stroke. 55" is a custom cut off with your home saw. If your area is not comfortable don't bother......
I’m 5’10” with a 32” sleeve length….why would I play with the same length cue as a 6’2” guy with 36” sleeve length? Answer me that one?
Every manufacturer website I looked at listed their table sizes in imperial units.
So... you need 6 feet(183cm) around the table to comfortably allow for cueing with a standard full-length cue.
You'll want at least 52 inches (ideally more) on each side if you want the space to use a full-sized cue. i just invented a new game in my head litterally just now.. all the rules are the same but you play in reverse.. First thing's first before you break you nominate a coulor. okay cool. either be spot / stripe.. Now if you break and manage to knock in ur nominated coulo in during the break r you get to stay on the table if you knock in ur oppenents coulor he gets to get on the table.... but the only way to be allowed to knock your coulors in is to pot the black. so for the start of the game you're competing over who can pot the black first.. Whoever does that first is allowed to pot the rest of his balls and ofc the first to knock all their balls in wins .. (8 ball USA or UK style only)

What about a 12 foot by 6 foot table
They make 1.5 foot cue stick weighing up to 23 oz.. Looks like something Shore Patrol eould use to... Settle down saliors brawling in someone business... Instantly commanding any unlucky personal on receiving end
6 foot all round - so at least 24 foot x 18 foot. At least. Presumably you’re talking about a snooker table. You can’t play snooker on a full-size table using Mickey Mouse size cues.
I’m 5’10” and my shirt sleeve length is 32”…… so why would I play with the same length cue as a 6’2” guy with a 36” sleeve length??? Answer me that one.
