I put a Union Pacific 46115 horn in my Tacoma and oh man do I love it. People (mostly) Truckers in the fast lane going to slow get the full 5 gallon blast.
It’s so weird because when the car is far away, you hear the low pitched version from the Doppler effect. But at the same time, it’s echoing what the horn actually sounds like without the Doppler.
All those horns sounded great, especially that old cast P5! P.S. That first horn was actually a K3HA. You can tell by the raised "neck" on the bottom of the manifold.

The P42s had a Narrow Font K5LA but some of them had a K5L and a K5HA and a K5H.
I feel like the 4:10 K5LA is meant for P42s and the 1:03 K5LA is meant for F40PHs
That is Correct! Amtrak P42DCs, F40PHs, ALC-42s, and SC-44s use the Nathan K5LA Horn.

Hornblasters but they are very expensive. I got the conductors special 232 instead.
