Palpatine being a Sith Lord, even without a physical weapon - still has the power of The Force, thus cannot be considered ‘unarmed’ - further detailed in evidence from the scene as shown in the novel, which shows sidious had the power to defeat windy, but ALLOWED ANAKIN to make a choice…this then could be seen as manipulative entrapment, at the very least the death of windy legally falls on palpatine, with anakin being an accessory

2:56 That wasn't a felony murder on Windu. Windu and 3 other councilmen were trying to depose the elected leader of the Republic. After disarming him, WIndu attempts to execute him, and Anakin simply defends the Chancellor. He doesn't even kill Windu, he simply cuts his arm off in self defence.
2:57 Windu and the councilmen were conducting a coup d'etat against the chancellor, it wasn't a 'government' investigation since the Jedi didn't have government permission to investigate the Chancellor (Windu hadn't even convened with the rest of the Council on the matter let alone asked the Senate).
2:58 The chancellor wasn't a fugitive, as there was no concrete evidence to prove that he was a Sith Lord as the Jedi had suggested and they didn't have the authority to arrest him
3:37 Vader didn't commit treason, it was the Jedi who had committed treason.
3:42 The Jedi Temple was not owned by the Republic government, it was private property owned by enemies of the state.
4:31 the government property he destroyed was owned by the Separatist Alliance, therefore he was destroying an enemy facility as part of the war.
4:39 Obi Wan was an enemy of the state who had refused to comply with the government earlier.
6:23 Vader didn't order the strike on Alderaan, it was Tarkin who was in charge of the station, not Vader.

@@AwesomeMutation If you try to arrest/execute the leader of any nation without any legal evidence to prove that they are guilty of the crime you are accusing them of, is that not treason?
And even if they had proof that Palpatine was a dark side practitioner or he had admitted to the public to being a Sith Lord, how is that an arrestable offence? The issue with Palpatine is that he had caused the Clone War, but the Jedi had no evidence to prove that he did.
All Mace Windu had was Anakin's testimony. Besides, when Windu does eventually detain Palpatine, he reveals that he had no interest in having him stand trial because he claimed that the courts were rigged.
Imagine if a gang of armed men attacked the President claiming that he was part of a cult that was trying to overthrow American democracy with 0 evidence and then tried to kill him without trial because 'the courts were rigged'. Is that not treason?

There's also that last one that could be considered Regicide, as Palpatine was the legitimate head-of-state. Palps committing a War Crime (Torturing a Prisoner-of-War) could make the Self-Defense claim justified, but instead of disarming him, Vader killed him.

That would actually be around 9900 life sentences since around 99 percent of the Jedi were killed with remaining survivors either dying later on or turning to the dark side or hiding from the empire but 10000 is a rough estimate on how many Jedi were alive during the clone wars.

0:53 Objection your honor. The planet is lawless and the Tusken Raiders had abducted and killed innocent humans. Lord Vader was merely conducting a police action to deter from further raids.
1:32 Objection your honor. Lord Vaders order was to stay close to his charge. His charge chose to conduct a rescue mission. It would be irresponsible for him to abandon his duty to the Imperial Senate!
2:14 Objection your honor. Count Duuko was a clear and present danger to the Empire. In such extreme cases, summary execution can be warranted under Imperial Law.
2:56 Objection your honor. Lord Vader saved the Chancellor who was the lawful, elected official against a Jedi Insurrection! His acts are clearly defense of another being!
3:25 Objection your honor. The Jedi had shown themselves to be a threat towards lawful elected officials. This is a Police Action; the Jedi clearly resisted arrest!
3:31 Objection your honor. Lord Vader did not command the clones to execute Order 66 and the order was given by lawful authority of the Empire! As such, it cannot be treason!
4:08 Objection your honor. This was a special military operation to neutralize the leadership of a destructive galactic war under the authority of lawful elected officials.
4:17 Objection your honor. Lord Vader subdued an enemy agent who conspired to bring a Jedi Assassin to kill him. His restraint is to be commended.
    4:39 Objection your honor. Self-Defense!
5:03 Objection your honor. Director Krennics lack of character and inability to speak is no fault of Lord Vader. He was simply a worthless underling.
5:36 Objection your honor. The subject was a known terrorist and a clear and present danger to the Empire. In such extreme cases, summary execution can be warranted under Imperial Law.
5:43 Objection your honor. The Moff is merely overcome by concern and unable to speak. He can testify to this effect in front of this very court.
6:00 Objection your honor. Princess Leia is a clear and present danger. Extreme measures are warranted. We been over this before!
6:23 Objection your honor. The lawful order to fire was given by Grand Moff Tarkin under the authority of the Emperor.
6:38 Objection your honor. Clearly a medal of honor for personally engaging and defeating a dangerous fugitive is in order.
6:57 Objection your honor. Medical records show at this time, Admiral Ozzel suffered a heart attack. His life could not be saved.
7:16 Objection your honor. Captain Needa was so ashamed of his failure that he bit a cyanide capsule. Lord Vader consoled him in his final moments.
7:15 Objection your honor. Clear and Present Danger rules apply. Han Solo was a wanted fugitive who previously fired upon Lord Vaders personal craft!
8:21 Objection your honor. Seeing that the Emperor was corrupt and dangerous and tortured prisoners, Lord Vader brought it upon himself to put a stop to the corrupt ways of the Emperor.
As such, we must insist that Lord Vader is cleared on all charges. We will leave a detachment of Stormtroopers and a few ISB Agents here to ensure a fair trial.

Luke, being last alive in the room pardoned vader, and the force pardoned him, which is why he could be a force ghost. So the sentence should be pardoned

This can't be real 2B life sentences, he'd be extremely lucky to see 100 never mind 2B the sentences must be made up willy nilly you can't give someone a sent3nce so long they'll have crumbled to dust by the end of it

1:10-1:32 Not sure it can count as military insubordination, his primary order was to protect Padme at all cost, so when the Senator chose to go to Geonosis to save Obi-Wan, his orders forced him to go with her to ensure her protection.

About Military Insubordination: The Jedi is, for all intents and purposes, not a military. Their military rank were only established after the formation of the Grand Army of the Republic. Therefore there is no military offence for Anakin disobeying an instruction from Windu before the Clone Wars begin. He would, at best, be subjected to non-criminal penalizations.
Killing Count Dooku: Dooku has "given up" his ability to fight and kneeling should be considered as having surrendered. He is therefore a prisoner of war, and Anakin killing Dooku is a breach against Geneva Convention. This is a serious war crime that has a much hefty penalty.
