Hey Hera! It's me again, Mister Semper. What you describe as the "ELO Hell" of games being all very hard and stressful but not being able to play with the real "Pros" is exactly what I am experiencing at 1200 ELO - only that the "Pros" start for me at 1600. The grind is very hard. And going from 1.000 ELO to 1.200 ELO might not seem too much of a task. But in order to get there you have to overtake 20.000 (!!!) people. And starting at around 1150 ELO, I can guarantee you that pretty much EVERY player is competitive to a certain degree. Climbing from 1150 to 1200 took me almost a year alone.
I’m that 1600 ”pro” you are talking about 11 Think 11-1200s are lacking some eco macro and execution. Check your hotkeys to make sure you play optimally. Keep creating vills and try to never having them go idle, and put them on the resources you’re gonna need so you don’t float res. Research town watch for some extra help. In case your map is too open to wall, try preparing just a house or a couple of palisade bits to make it easier to quick wall in case enemy comes raiding fast. Scout more and make sure you see what building they go for. Try to keep whereabouts of enemy army and how large the army is. Try thinking about a win condition for your civ vs that civ. Use the market when appropriate to get faster up times. If you have a combination of great eco macro and market abuse then you can get timings that the enemy cannot stop. Realize that the enemies your Elo is also struggling with APM. If you can find moments to harass your enemy during a hectic time, then you can put more time on your own macro, since he cannot. Hope that gives you some ideas
@@alltmisc Thanks man! I already do pretty much all of that. But keeping in the back of my mind that there must be a certain win condition, is actually a really good thing to think about in the future. Because to be honest, I often do not even know my win condition. Like what is my win condition when I play Mayans vs Cumans on Arena?
@@lukasvideosify1596 I highly doubt you do all of that. I'm 1400 and I am not even close to having efficient eco or constant vill production. Neither are my peers.

Fun game, great cast! Tbh, i still feel like calling T90 just "a solid player" misses the mark. The dude is fluctuating between top 100 and top 150 in a ladder with over 40k active players, and the top 100 including quite some repeat accounts. Additionally a even more casual base of regular players of likely somewhere between 100k and 1 million (hinted towards by microsoft and available data). Map that onto a popular sport like Soccer, and you have him playing in a decent team on the national level, just maybe not first league. There we also have people calling them bad players etc. whilst completely ignoring how much of an achievement that is, especially for someone not being an active pro (and t90 mainly still is a caster) and how strong those people are in comparison to almost everyone below their level and how surprisingly close they are to the actual top dogs.
Monks will be just easy targets for scouts. Anyway FC into TK with 6 farms looks kinda joke strategy. Rather FC into pike+monk+siege have more chances for success.
In my experience, Castle in the face hell: 990 - 1180 Elo. Whether is arena or not, I always brace for a castle foundation to be built outside of my town, at some point in the game. Almost every single game. Opponents "thinking process": Arzenal is pushing? Maybe building a forward castle will make him retreat. Arzenal playing a defensive boomy game? Best time to build a forward castle. I mean, it works roughly 50% of the time, so that's why I am in the Elo bracket that I am 11.
Arzenal is commenting on youtube, quick he is distracted Castle his base. On serious note besides usual tips like feudal archer rush to counter it maybe some palisade walls/buildings to protect usual targets for castle drop could help, make it impossible to drop 4x4 foundation next to your TC once you spot that he is mining stone a lot.
this could never have worked, except against a noob. 1) scout the enemy. see teutonic knights. pump monks. you win. 2) plus rams. add knights. still win.
“You’re not low enough for games to be fun or casual” Brother I’m in 400 Elo, I’m terrible. None of my matches are even close. The only times I win are either because of trolls or a guy just ego quits because I destroy their forward castle. P.S. I am fully aware I’m terrible at the game.
He only got that far because T90 was late to adding siege. Mangonels make it impossible to push with just TTKs and rams, and he lacked the eco to win a mangonel war.
@@flamingosedai1820 Because he is 15vills and one TC behind T90. T90 just takes relics, gets to imp first and then just ends the game with knights + camel archers (or handcannons). There is absolutely nothing that phosphoru can do to catch up.

Of course man it isn't paranoia if the conspiracy theory is true :).
15:45 hera encouraging red phosphoru to continue playing and boom while distracting t90 when he lost 5 knights for free 😂😂
The “test fight” at the end was the cherry on top!
I think Phosphoru's intention is to test his strategy with every civ of the game, thus a tier list of him that is currently incomplete.
Ooh, I would like a tier list from him.
teutonic knights having innate heresy would be cool and make them more usable lol
Ooo that’s a super interesting idea! Bit more balanced than just not being convertible.
Or give it a high resistance
That was fun to listen to you cast a T90 game...thank you!

Red should have went monks with his TK. They can just stand outside the TC range and heal TKs while they eat the TC, and they also win atonement wars
