@Mark K.: You need to download a few .mer files to the HMI internal memory first. If there is nothing in the HMI internal memory, there will not be anything for for you to select and set to the startup. Hopefully this makes sense. Thank you for subscribing to my channel. Please let me know if you have any more questions.
@@SYPHOANG I am attempting to upload the .mer file but it is saying it's not compatible. Is there some sort of graphics driver or software update I need to install on the new HMI? For background information we have a machine that is 7 years old the HMI went out so we purchased a used HMI. The used unit is working but when I put my USB stick with the .mer file into the HMI nothing comes up on the screen for me to load.
@Mark K.: Do you have the software Allen Bradley Factory Talkview ME for the HMI? Or do you just want to use a flash/thumb drive to transfer the .mer from the old HMI to the new used HMI. There are a few things you might want to check. Not every thumb drive is detectable to the HMI? You might want to check the format of your thumb drive FAT32. You can use the HMI window desktop to format your thumb drive. You need to make sure your new used HMI has a higher firmware than your old HMI. To upgrade the HMI, I think you will need the software mentioned above.
@@SYPHOANG when I try to load the program in factory talk view ME station it gives an error that says it can't open due to version incompatibility. I tried to do the firmware update but ME firmware upgrade wizard program will not open on my laptop it gives three different errors so I can't get the download from Rockwell onto my flash drive. Rockwell has now blocked me from downloading anything further from their website so I tried to delete the me firmware upgrade wizard and re-download it but I cannot do that. I don't know why Rockwell blocked my account from downloading software from their website when that is the function of their website but I guess three downloads in a week is too many for them.
Excelent. Thank you

Mine shows no application to load. There is just a blank box.

@Marck K: unfortunately I never experienced it. Thank you for sharing your valuable experience in my channel.
