Did a similar job but added the SPE Track Bar bushing kit. Also when I have the Ball joint break apart I use another cup to push out the ball joint housing rather than an air hammer. Sometimes you may need to use a large socket
I have a few of those, and I cut off all of the thread part, and push it it out with a small insert and it comes right out and I cross ratchet straps on the back off the axle to keep the axle in place. I never have a problem of that track bar going back in
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARodHi ARod. This is Mrs Ed. We enjoy watching your videos together. 💙💙💙 We will be doing the thing with the bronze pipes in the spring. Lol. Whatever that is!?! 😂
I had to use a torch and sledge on my track bar to get that thing off. I don't see any conditions here in SoCal like you guys see in the rust belt. They're just really on there.
When you said "I don't swing that way"...yeahhhh with me being left handed I can usually pop the track bar off with 2-3 good smacks with a heavy hammer...works so quickly since I'm used to swinging a hammer that way.
Milwaukee and 1/2 drive sockets pkus other tools, jackstands, and time.....put a carli 2.5 level commuter kit on my 17 F350 6.7, 2 years ago. Fortunately not alot of rust, but a lift would have saved my back and knees a few years. Thabks ARod..
Lots of capable ball joint press tools don't have enough jaw opening. I use cutoff wheel on grinder and cut the stud. Now I press on stud and if it pushes through, I use a proper size press drift and push it out.
THEE playlist for you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes…yes I like what you’ve done here.😊

In chaos you bring stability!
Rust. I feel for you bud. We can change track bars so easy. I'm going to have to show you a trick
Maybe you need a "Big Nasty" air hammer aka Astro 4890, that the other rust-belt shops on TH-cam use.
Is the older gentleman in the baby gap t-shirt, the owner of the truck, or is he just supervising for a reason???
😭😭😭😭😭😭 str8 rollin brah
Put the ball joint piece that popped out in upside down and press the race part up.
good work Aron
Here in Canada we use heat (torch) and pressure (ball joint press with a cup that barely fit at the bottom)
Yeah, i'm always worry about heating up the frame or the axle housing for that matter
I so need to get this done.
Air chisel that bottom edge inwards. You'll basically fold that inner sleeve and it breaks the bond. Then you can probably cut/pry/push out.

That doesn't look fun if doing ur self, guess I'll try to say money and come to u. Thanks for sharing ARod
Gotchu buddy
Could you use a hydraulic jack on the floor pushing against the weight of the truck? Maybe a few whacks with that pressure on it would break it loose.
Ehhhh, maybe
I've done it on the ground. Was not fun but doable. Sure would be nice with the lift.
And now front end alignment yes
Which LED light are you using sir?
Harbor freight special
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod I have the snapon but this one looks smaller and easier to place.
That swaybar looking a little rough too.
Getting ready to do it on my 2017! Any tips?
Lol, hope it rusty. I guess in hind sight I clda soaked it a day or so
