Hey I appreciate you not getting upset with that like so many people do and certainly appreciate your time to try to help the guitar players of the world. It's just that I kind of like hearing it through and then going back and dissecting it ... Hey it's all good buddy that's just an opinion I'm sure it's perfect for others out there. Just continue doing what makes you happy and brings a smile to your face my friend. That's all that matters in life we have to find something that makes us smile 👍

Love the lesson! I never really understood why teachers teach bar chords like they have to bar all the strings. You only have to bar the ones that other fingers are not covering, and that makes it a lot easier for beginners or folks with gorilla hands like me to play them. :)
Just ran across this, awesome approach. Something I've wanted to do, but I am afraid that I would not be able to as I have tremors in my hand that varies. Suggestions?
Tennessee whiskey is not by Chris Stapleton , this version is. Originally written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove first pitched to George Strait first released by David Alan Coe, then released by George Jones later blused up and released by Chris Stapleton .
Chris Stapleton has the best version, and big thanks to Justin Timberlake for changing Chris’s life that night in 2015 with that song. The crowd went nuts at the CMA’s that year when Justin’s part came up.
Fun lesson! Gave me a good start. Except I think it’s 4 chords and the little intermittent riffs can be played in the F minor pentatonic scale. But simple is good. I’ve simplified songs I thought were too complex so my band could learn them quicker.
@@Relaxandlearnguitar lol I like them both, I was just being an ass because a lot of people don’t know David Allan coe did it first because Chris Stapleton is the one who blew it up recently
Would have rather seen you actually play the song a Little More in its entirety and then go back and explain some of the Dynamics. A hair too much of explanation in the beginning instead of just playing it ... Certainly appreciate your time though and video. It's just some people learn more by watching then listening to talk. Of course you're going to have to explain a little in the back end of the video. Thank you though once again. Just my thoughts

Thank you i can play some but you explain very well
Glad I could help
you can play it also one step down with G and A minor too and it's easier if ya can't manage the B minor. Many peeps find the lower G key better too.
Agreed. Have a lesson on that version here th-cam.com/video/jFTwSlRVga8/w-d-xo.html
Loved it man thank you for taking time to show how to play this !

It is a Martin D1R. They don’t make them anymore but I’ve owned it for about 20 years. My favorite guitar!
@@Relaxandlearnguitar nice! Tks! What is that equivalent to today? 🤔🤠
@@JohnstownJohnny maybe road series. Mine is solid spruce too and rosewood back and sides.

Thanks Deedee and thanks for watching!

Thanks for the info
Also is the same chord exact chord progression as “I’d Rather Go Blind” by Etta James.
@@OccupyMelody Cool! I learned that after doing the lesson. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Nice lessons , you can communicate so we'll ! 🖖

a bit of winding wheel by ryan adams in this tune… cheers chris.
Nice! Good ear!
It’s also the same tune as Etta James’ I’d Rather Go Blind
Wow! Very cool. Did not know that. Will definitely have to go back and listen to these together. Thanks for the tip!
So I can capo 2nd fret
Yes, here is the lesson on the capo 2 version th-cam.com/video/jFTwSlRVga8/w-d-xo.html

it's def 4 chords E, a, Bm, D
@@TheJasoncash83 it’s only A and Bm

Sure can - check out a lesson here:th-cam.com/video/Q59pVr4P9w0/w-d-xo.html
Yeah I have a big problem with bar chords still, I just can't play them for some reason, I think I have arthritis in my hand
Warm ups are important and this lesson may help th-cam.com/video/rgFHANVmhps/w-d-xo.htmlsi=4OyddRtAI5OGPfqu
Well I can't say moving too fast for me 😊

Hi Vicky, just checking in lol
"I'd Rather Go Blind" by Etta James
Yep
The original is the best version.

Hmmm. Now I am confused. I am Kevin. Thanks for watching and happy to help!
I like david allan coe's version best
Amazing user name!! I will check that one out.
Tender whiskey by David Allan Coe***
listening to this version now - thanks!

@@StingraySativaCo no problem. I like learning about music!
@@Relaxandlearnguitar for sure. Me too. Love it when I find out that song I love is actually already an old classic
am I crazy or did I see 3? Good video though. I don't know
No not crazy. The 3rd one is optional :) thanks for watching!
Sounds like the same chords as “What’s Up” by the Four Non-Blondes
Close
It's actually 4 chords. E, a Bm, D.
Yep. This is more of the starter version to have somewhere to jump off from. Thanks for watching!
What always bothered me about this song is as it is a straight copy of Etta James with I’d rather go bland!
I have learned that since posting this
cool but isn't this song just blatant plagiarism of the old etta james song rather be blind .
Same exact song just different lyrics.
That is what I have learned since posting the lesson :)
