    Bhaal shot a bloody booger into Faerun after doing a bit too much blow with bane one night, and was surprised to find it walking around and making sacrifices the next morning

    Okay but according to forgotten realms lore this means Durge is a fucking Titan, a quasi-deity.

    • @NivRel
      @NivRel 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +46

      considering gods can't "legally" intervene too mutch, it's almost certain that durge was made from divine flesh, yet his actual power is the same as any other beeing, just with greater potential than others (i would gwess that if it were otherwise we would be seeing waaaay more god like beeings shifting the world all around for their parents)

      it would also explain why tav is a white dragonborn wizard with weirdly high physical stats (pre tadpole)
      of course baal would make the perfect killing machine. cant use magic? I will use my hands? cant use my hands? I will literally bite your head off and as my skin is shinny white your blood will glisten as it drips off me.

      Though, we also need to account that his father himself is a quasi deity.
      A quasi deity of a quasi deity might produce something naturally magically powerful and gifted (Explaining sorcerer levels), and as seen with tadpoling, getting brain wormed has a habit of resetting player level to 1

      Would be severe spoilers to say who he is, but I assure you he is nobody to be laughed at! You'll be seeing him a lot as you play durge though, and he's a great character.
      Hope you enjoy the durge playthrough though, because the entire story is different despite following the same general path and main events. There will be many similarities, but you'll see everything add up as you go and it'll feel completely different!

    That explains a lot. How Durge came to be when Bhall has been impotent for so long. Why Durge is so special. How they truly *are* the Dark Urge, which is why the Slayer form is really their “true” form, should they embrace murder. Interesting… I’d been wondering about this!

    I havent accepted Baahl in any Durge run yet (as ive only done 1) , so its kind of sad to know that my Durge wont know some of these things (it kills him to not know) .
    i also imagined (while i didnt know why at the time) that (my) Durge would have suffered seizures of some kind (be it the scary and 'dramatic' looking ones, or something more that causes spams, and reparative jerks in a limb). After learning about Orins victory right before the events of the game, and now confirmed that your brain is damaged as fuck. I imagine my durge to have suffered them post-game at least

      If u cast the Level 6th healing spell in Baldurs Gate you can recall some memories (It will be a different memory if you’ve faced Orin already) you may not be able to find out specifics but there are certain points in the story when Durge can briefly recall their memory; The Noblestalk being the other method that you can find early in act 1/Underdark

    I have never seen this dialogue before, thank you for the video.

      Up the stairs in the Elfsong Tavern you notice 2 double doors that your Tav will comment on saying something like "you can rent rooms". Physically that is where the "camp is".
      Talk to Allyn the tavern/barkeep in front of the kitchens, you can buy it but just pass a persuasion check to get the room for free. It will however become the permanent camp for the Lower City once you speak with him, so make sure you're done exploring and looting the default camp first.
