Here I am on the internet defending myself over a chair! 😅 For those worried about the fabric on the chair, I removed two layers of fabric and washed/disinfected the third layer which was a water-resistant fabric. Thanks for watching!
Well I did wonder about that. Thanks for clarifying. Maybe include that statement in the video if there's a similar next time. Because I honestly was thinking eew wont that nastiness seep through in time.
Well I wondered the same thing but I was not about to make a comment about it. There's too much negativity out here on the internet. So we need to give each other the benefit of the doubt that even if something doesn't seem right to us we should just keep our mouth shut. You do a wonderful job! All your things are beautiful. Keep up the good work. You are very inspiring. I have been wanting to have a booth and flip furniture and do DIYs but I haven't had the courage to actually put myself out there and do it. But you are giving me so much inspiration. I need to just do it! Thanks so much. You are a blessing.
Be careful with the defending yourself or here or there will be folks trying to get you to do it all the time, I thought nothing about it. Common sense. I know that skill is lacking these days. I’ve just subscribed a couple of days ago but have watched enough videos to know you are not going to leave something nasty on a chair. 😂
I generally don't watch a lot of these up cycling videos. But I love your style and I've gotten so many ideas from your videos. And... I love how much you get done in one day. LOL. I am such a slacker. I think I spend more time FINDING the things than repurposing them. Found your channel yesterday. Gathered all my little hauls that I've been holding onto and put them all in one place. New goal is to set aside a day or two each week to do 5 of these small projects. Thanks for your inspiration.
Agree 100% I said at the point she cut out the new fabric, "I can't believe you are not removing that nasty fabric!" Sure could not tell from video that she had removed 2 layers. Also I am new to this channel, and it's the first video I've ever watched on this channel, and the first comment I read is the owner of the channel "defending" herself over the chair. That put a negative feeling in my head about this channel right to start with. 😢
I would have removed the yucky upholstery first but that chair is adorable! That wavy piece that you made into a hook rack looks like the valance from over a kitchen sink...so now I know what to do with mine when I take it down! Your risers are so cute. Love those bowls. You have a great bunch of upgrades there. Good job.
I actually removed 2 layers of fabric from the chair before getting to the least yucky layer lol. I spray cleaned it really well too. I'm so glad you liked everything, thanks so much for the support!
I like the risers and the wavey shelf/coat rack best. The wavey wood piece was popular in the 50's and many times would be placed between the cabinets above a kitchen window. Great idea for it.
Just found your channel & loved everything you did! I subscribed so I won't miss future videos! I think the risers are my favorite! Can't believe people who were so quick to comment about the fabric on the chair didn't watch close enough to realize it wasn't even the same fabric. Good grief - I can't understand why people have to be so rude. No one who is obviously as experienced as you are would leave something dirty. As for telling us that if there is a next time, I think you described what you did just fine. That would be like you telling viewers that coffee is hot or don't eat the laundry pods! I'm off to watch some of your other videos & get caught up with all your wonderful ideas! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Nicole!! Wow!! It's very difficult to choose just one, because I loved everyone!! 💖💖💖👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 You and your mom, have good taste!! Thank you and since now, have an amazing week! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💖💖💖🕊🕊🕊
Everything looks nice. I really like the chair. The risers are adorable. No one can say what French country or farmhouse is supposed to look like . I make it the way it was when I was a little kid and enjoy it. Nice job. I thrift and flip all the time and I've never been to hobby lobby. Shame on me
I loved all the projects that you made on this video!...I've made so many risers and I loved that is an easy project and it looks so adorable!...specially in the kitchen👍☺️❤️
$4!! That's amazing!! In New Zealand Habitat for Humanity is known as the expensive thrift store. A chair like that would be $25NZD ($18USD) which doesn't sound a lot but the NZ market is really messed up!!
The long shelf with the hooks would be pretty also in a kitchen. Make the top plate wider, cut a groove in it and you could put plates and signs on it. Hang aprons and etc from those beautiful hooks.
That is a great idea! I was envisioning the top shelf as a picture ledge but it would be so pretty as a plate shelf. I wish I had more wall space in my kitchen! Thanks for your comment 😀
Everything was beautiful. Love how you did the risers and made the shelves from pallets. We have a place that gives away old pallets sometimes. May have to try that.
I am so impressed with your work and idea's. Why in the world don't you have thousands of subscribers????? Hopefully soon! New one here for sure! You're very inspiring! Great job.
Haha thank you! I really started focusing on being consistent on my channel in January---I'm ok with slow growth, the idea that thousands of people are watching my videos makes me a little overwhelmed!😅
Hi Nicole, boy you are working overtime uploading content for us. Thanks so much, but pace yourself girl, you have big things coming. I love that small ladder and wreath so much!!!!😍
Haha you're right! I'm trying to crank out as much as possible before baby comes----I can feel that I'll have to start slowing down soon. I appreciate all of your support!
Ya I love working through the scrap pile. It drives me crazy in my garage but I often push it to the back burner. Glad you enjoyed! Hope you're doing well!
The little ladder was my favorite, but all your crafts were very nice. Great job! I agree with you, I prefer farm house as opposed to high end modern any day! TFS! God Bless You as well as God Bless our Country! 1Pet. 3:8
I just subscribed to your channel. So many great TH-cam channels but happy to find yours. You have a lot of great creative ideas and do well at explaining them.
Everything looks awesome! I’m lovin’ the grayish, bleached wood look of French country with muslin/ drop cloth/linen. The risers are the perfect color and I think your use of the shutter slats is genius. Someone is going to quickly snatch that chair. It has such pretty lines. Great job. BTW, I love the cap you’re wearing.
Great projects ~ only my 2nd video of yours to watch ... jus’ found you today : ). I’m taking my decor to French Country, Fr. Shabby Chic ... house is an old New Englander, circa 1860. So, you upcycled coat rack was certainly my favorite!
New subscriber. Love every thing you did. I love country French decor and that little chair seat is just screaming for a french crockery stencil. I think it would be a perfect embellishment. Jo
Just found your channel. You’re so creative, using basically scraps. I thought the oak shelf with the hooks was great. With the small door I would have left that piece of wood and used it to display a plate or something interesting.
You are so sweet and great at giving instructions. Love the shelf with hooks and the door with the large wreath. I just subscribed so I won't miss any of your videos. Thanks!
Like your projects. Question is farmhouse distressing still in in 2021? I tts been around since 2012, thought it's shabby chic? Not so much white? Or does it depend where you live in America? Your creations are fabulous and glad you reticle idems as well. God bless, have a blessed day. Keep on creating. 👍
Yea we definitely still see a market for distressed primitive style furniture. In fact, I recently shared a distressed green dry sink and it sold within a few days! It might be a regional thing, in my area of Illinois it still seems desirable. I think shabby chic is more feminine than what I typically do in my booth---I shoot more for rustic and less for shabby chic though I think there's a market for both. Great question! Thank you so much for watching!
Hi Tiara! My dad actually built the saw table...the base is 2x4's and plywood and the top is a scrap piece of butcher block from the Boose Block factory in Effingham IL. If you're ever in the area you can get such a great deal on butcher blocks! Thanks for watching!!
I live in the St. Louis area as well. I know this video is six months old, but I love the little hobbit risers. Do you have any more of those? Where is your booth? Thanks!
I have to agree that it is not necessarily having to defend yourself but, you are showing us how you do things, so in fact, teaching. You didn’t show removing the dirty fabric or doing anything about the stain on the bottom of the chair cushion.. I sure hope you painted over that stain. Also, do you clean your pieces before you paint, if so,what do you use?
You are so talented! I love all the things that you can do with tools! And being pregnant too! I admire you! Do you just do furniture/wood items? Or do you often go to thrift stores? And flip those?
Here I am on the internet defending myself over a chair! 😅 For those worried about the fabric on the chair, I removed two layers of fabric and washed/disinfected the third layer which was a water-resistant fabric. Thanks for watching!
Well I did wonder about that. Thanks for clarifying. Maybe include that statement in the video if there's a similar next time. Because I honestly was thinking eew wont that nastiness seep through in time.
I thought it wasn’t washed, and when you said $30 I was like what?!?!?
Well I wondered the same thing but I was not about to make a comment about it. There's too much negativity out here on the internet. So we need to give each other the benefit of the doubt that even if something doesn't seem right to us we should just keep our mouth shut. You do a wonderful job! All your things are beautiful. I really enjoyed watching. No faves. I like them all.
Love the peg hooks on the pallet shelf.
I generally don't watch a lot of these up cycling videos. But I love your style and I've gotten so many ideas from your videos. And... I love how much you get done in one day. LOL. I'm so happy to hear that I gave you a little boost! I'm back in a rut of buying but not upcycling, surely I'll get busy again soon!
Everything is beautiful, I love the rail shelf, ladder, and always the furniture
Thanks Debra! I appreciate you watching!
Everything looks beautiful! 😍
Its not a matter of defending yourself in regard to your project, its a matter of giving information since you are in a sense teaching!!!
Agree 100%
I said at the point she cut out the new fabric, "I can't believe you are not removing that nasty fabric!" Sure could not tell from video that she had removed 2 layers. Loved the risers. Soooo cute
Thanks so much!
It is almost 1am and I cannot stop watching your videos! You are so talented. Thank you for sharing your talents with us!
Love the shelf with the wood pegs!
it all turned out beautiful, very cohesive. I to love the french country look and the colors, its such a beautiful style. Great Job!
Thank you so much!
I like the risers and the wavey shelf/coat rack best. The wavey wood piece was popular in the 50's and many times would be placed between the cabinets above a kitchen window. Great idea for it.
The coat hanger was the best
Thanks!
Aww, the little ladder 🪜 is adorable! 🤩 I would have been tempted to add a little gilding to the flowers 🌸 on the chair
That 2x4 would have been cute as a shelf on top of that wavy piece w/ the hooks
My favorite is the little shelf you made with the wavy board. I would have burned it for fire wood but you saw it’s potential. Amazing!
Just found your channel & loved everything you did! I subscribed so I won't miss future videos! I think the risers are my favorite! Everything looks nice. I really like the chair. The risers are adorable. No one can say what French country or farmhouse is supposed to look like . I make it the way it was when I was a little kid and enjoy it. Nice job. I thrift and flip all the time and I've never been to hobby lobby. Shame on me

Thank you so much!
New to your channel. Found you by accident Love all the projects and that pallet/peg shelf is my favorite. Love your channel
Thanks so much! Glad to have you here!
Hi May i ask where you purchased your saw table to do your wood cutting ? Thank you 😊
I love your work it seems doable even for a beginner :)
Hi Tiara! My dad actually built the saw table...the base is 2x4's and plywood and the top is a scrap piece of butcher block from the Boose Block factory in Effingham IL. If you're ever in the area you can get such a great deal on butcher blocks! Thanks for watching!!

Where do. Sell your pieces? they all turned out great.
Hi Linda! I sell in 2 antique booths.
