Went into a Brinkley at a dealer and these new AC units are NICE. Really cold air + incredible noise reduction.... HATE that Furrion has not released this to the market but putting it on Brinkleys... Reminds me of when you could only get the iPhone if you had AT&T service...

I used this cover while working in the Teton national park this winter to help keep my front bedroom warm and darker it did help keep the heat in I stayed comfortable down to 13 degrees with this and a few more modifications
I also use a small dehumidifier and it is amazing how much water it pulls out of the air

Yep. My RV tech told me he tried to order a 15k ducted heat pump version for me and was told they're only shipping to Brinkley and Grand Design right now.

How much did it cost?
Did those 2 part numbers have everything needed for install? How long did it take to get? Here's what I was told by my local dealer for pricing/availability:

Keystone does not stock these items so it could be 3-4 weeks out and there would be shipping on these items for a freight truck.
The skylight often is 2-pane with an air gap as well. While the light does come in, the heat is often trapped between. It may still be more efficient to cover both, but the roof vents are all but open air. I use the doofy pillows, and they're nice over the winter, but they're a pain to stow.
how to tell you live in a hot climate. 85 feels comfortable. hahaha! 70 feels comfortable for us colorado people!
The actual door window covers that are 16x25 I believe, work perfectly on the shower skylight. And I'll say this, those pillow style vent shades work far better than the thin velcro shades since they have insulation in them. I feel zero heat radiating from them. Where as on my doors and shower sky light I can still feel heat coming through, though considerably less than without them.
What pillow shade are you using for your skylight in the bathtub? I do like the shade for the fan in the bathroom but, the skylight in the shower is like an oven. Thanks....Dave
@@davesauerzopf6980 Not using a pillow style on the shower skylight. I'm using a 16x25 door window shade, like the one shown in the video. It velcro's in place.

the traditional RV AC units have the thermostat on the wall. it does not sample the air in the box, but at that thermostat. The only temperature device in there is the freeze protection switch.
Not all AC units has the wall thermostat. There is units that has all the controls and sensors in the ceiling unit with no wall mounted thermostat
@@johnj69ful yes, but their sensors are in the facia. the sensors that are in the upper box outside the RV are not the thermostatic sensors. I have most of my experience in fifthwheels where you cant reach the ceiling :D
I prefer the type that utilizes magnets that you install under the fan flange. Looks much cleaner.
1 of my 2 Coleman Mach 15 went out down here in deep east texas. Do you know the ETA for the ducted with heat pump model? Been holding out for one. Thanks
If u have a piece of reflectix. Slide it in over the bath fan. It stays put and keeps heat out. No cost

Tell them to order it from Keystone. They have to call Furrion and get the PN, that's how I got mine.
Which one has better insulation value foam one or the one you installed ?
Based on your logic, they should allow for the fan motor to be off in follow-me mode and temperature below set one.
It would help in cold weather as well.
A few questions please. Is that the Chill HE model? Why an 18k btu? Seems oversized
for that size of trailer. Does that particular model have heating as well? Also I noticed
there is no air distribution box and it seems to force conditioned air in one direction
only, so with the way rv's are insulated do you notice any "hot spots" in your experience?
Also have you tried running it off of a smaller 2200 peak watts generator?

Do not leave this on when you are not using your Rv. Reflective side will warp the plastic moldings if you leave it on to long.

Is that remote infrared or RF? Big pain in the ass if it’s infrared as it only really sends a good signal if it’s directly pointed at the unit. Also that vent really prevents me from using this unit on my rv as it’s blowing all the cold air at my windshield instead of at the rear where our bed is
With an external thermostat why would the unit have to run continuously?.
I think I'd cut the velcro so you wouldn't have the bulges over screw heads.
I'd think the could easily be made with a trip to Michael's.
How many amps does the chill cube pull.
Mine pulls around 15 on high
