Thanks, I've been wanting to drill down on melodic minor harmony for years but only ever scratched the surface. This has inspired me to drill down on it.
I've been practicing these arpeggios in each position along with scale patterns. Never thought to play them along the fret board. And it sounds like something Jonathan would do. This way they are much easier to remember and to play fast. Great stuff. Can't wait for more.
Thank you! Yep! motives and patterns are often easier to play horizontally. Maybe, if you wish and have time, check the video “The Pentatonic Workout Book” that I made. I wrote a book about intervallic practice and horizontal playing and there is a 1 hour lesson/video seminar that goes with the book. It is tricky, because we need to see scale degrees when playing along the neck and guitar shapes don’t help so much in that case.
Thank you, Will! It is fun for me, because it forces me to improve also :) Unfortunately, I have little time to do these, but the next one is coming in November. (Should be double stops systemized and applied to various scales and jazz lines) It is not going to be a hyped up, super positive, shouting and active :D youtube channel anyway. Better less, but cool.
Why in the world would you want to take counsel from a second person, no matter how skilled when the subject himself is very much alive and well and offering tuition himself 🤷♂️
Hi, thanks for the comment. It is true. It is just a personal approach to practicing a certain material not a counsel. I am not giving private lessons in this case or taking money. I think the material itself or the source is not the point but how we approach it. We can express as individuals by contributing our personal view of learning things. That is why the internet is so awesome and bad at the same time as there is too much info to choose from. What works and what doesn’t for each of us is very personal. Best, P.
This video is free bro. Kreisberg's lessons are totally awesome but no musician, no matter how great, can go over every single thing he plays/thinks about when improvising. Jens Larsen also made a video about Kreisberg but are you commenting on his videos? I, for one, am nothing but happy to see all of this amazing educational content available for FREE. We will likely see a generation of highly skilled players come out the growing digital age who may have otherwise not been able to afford private instruction from world class players. Happy shedding my friend!
@@willdominici4270 yep, good points you make. We are fortunate to have so much info available on TH-cam. It’s up to each of us to pick and use what speaks to us. Dunno why I got so exercised about in this case. Maybe I was feeling a bit grumpy old man on the the day 🧐. My overall philosophy on the rare occasions I make comments is “if you can’t see something positive, just zip it up”
Absolutely fantastic. Wow thank you sir. Blessings 🙏🏽
Thank you!!! 🙏
Godamm I love your playing, Jesus christ... Been transcribing you since forever. Tx
Wow! Really cool to hear this, thanks for the nice words. I never thought anyone transcribed my stuff. :)

@@pranaskentra Fair comment, wish you well with your pursuits. Just wanted to make a point. Maybe TH-cam tutorials have reached critical mass.
