Hey, trees don't grow that way - I"ve seen barbed wire grown into a tree but not raised up in the air as the tree grows. Love the videos. We were in MT back in June and love it there - 3 trips in 18 months.
That Yamaha is a great little scooter, its good you have it because if your car ever quit in the backwoods, it gives you an alternate way to get back to get help. You could get a "luggage Rack" from the dealer and mount behind the seat so there is a back rest for your passenger as well as a way to attach a extra bag or cooler, you have saddle bags those are great to haul your gear and jackets etc. Good choice I have been riding motorcycles since 1971 and have two road bikes at the house but rode offroad for maybe 25 years, its a good way to get way back in the woods, love that waterfall boy I sure am jealous
Love the new motorbike! Excellent addition to the camping outfit! Interesting area that you were camped at there. That ribeye/bread/olive lunch looked yummy! Thanks for taking us along and stay safe!
Trees elongate from the tips, not from the roots. Nail something to a tree at 4 feet, 50 years from now it'll still be at 4 feet. Trees just add layers (rings) everywhere but the tips.😊
This is another awesome video visiting and camping in Benchmark Montana as well as having your new Yamaha TW200 this is really great y'all have a wonderful weekend, thank you Rick and Linda. 🇺🇲👋👋🇺🇲
I would like to share with you a troublesome campsite story, just south of Rico Colorado I found a outrageously great site with more good points that I can count! but this one too not only had hundreds of flies, but also gangs of ravenously hungry chipmunks! chewing holes in my jackets looking for dog treats, making a mess inside the truck and then went after the solar wiring! it was only a one night's stay! Happy trails to you "sleazy riders"!!
While camped overnight somewhere in TX, our VW van got invaded by field mice. Linda got alerted in the middle of the nite by one running across her chest-- it was a battle to get the last one out.
Nice to see your TW200 - I had one 10 years ago and loved it- was great in the mountains of Colorado- my friend who had a Honda called it a Turkey Whistle 200
Great video guys, Thanks for sharing it. Love the TW, great dual sport motorcycle. They sound great too. Also love that picture of you guys in front of your VW Bus. Cool little spot where that waterfall is. Safe travels guys.
I've been close to the Benchmark area one time many years ago. When I lived in Missoula, my folks and I went to Bynum Reservoir just north of Choteau, MT to do some fishing.
That's the area! That was the first time we got in there. We tried camping there earlier this year but had to turn around where there was a big snowdrift across the road.
Great bike. It was interesting your water test came out good in that stream. As a kid growing up in the mountains of Colorado we just drank out of streams and never worried about it. Then I lived in Alaska and same thing we just drank out of any small stream. That was a few years ago. I live in Idaho now and I’m pretty careful of the streams. It’s not the same as 60 years ago. Glad to see you carry a hand cannon. I even carried one in my yard in Alaska.
we have been watching you two for a long time , and when i saw that picture of you in front of that VW bus i thought wait a minute, i have seen this before. you two must be guy clark or towns vanzant fans. i didn't know you where on the album cover of : this one is for him ~a tribute to guy clark. BUT if i,m wrong check out that great album on i tunes or whatever. just like you he was great story teller and could rhyme, write and play to boot. thanks Rick and Linda for taking us two wheeling again
Good job Rick the Yamaha 200 is a good bike, I almost bought one but ended up buying a Yamaha xt250, I felt I needed more speed going from one country town to another. They are much more practical than an electric bike. The xt250 will get 80 mpg and top speed is 80mph, it will run all day long at 65mph with little effort. The 200 will also sip the fuel and very reliable. Good enjoyable video. Best wishes. Ken.
: ) WOW! THANKS MUCH for sharing! LOVE the new Moto! I remember starting out with a 125 cc 'Enduro' back in the day : ) old 2 stroke smoker ! I did manage to keep my MC endorsement in TX, and now back in WA : ) LOL as I had an old VW Van too, remember, NO HEAT to speak of : ( ENJOY and ALL the BEST, safe travels, especially on Moto ! : ) Cheers ! !
Love the bike. Now Linda can enjoy all the sites more safely. Love that youthful pic of you two. You guys chose a beautiful area to camp and explore. Have you had any problems with the wildfires in Canada? That steak and bread that Chef Linda prepared looked good. So glad the drone still works. Enjoyed the video. Be safe out there you two.
Great video. Fairly new subscriber here. Gonagain is one of several I’m subscribed to that I look forward to watching the newest release. Right in there with AdventureVanMan, Nomad Brad, Epic Family Road Trip, Trail Recon, SoftRoadingTheWest, etc. thanks for sharing!
Well how fun! You two amaze me. You two are doing things my husband and I did back in my 30s and 40s but now that I'm 66 I'd never try to do. I'm so glad you two can!! Glad you saved your drone!
Howdy There Rick & Linda. WOW, you sure are going to be loving it with your new trail bike. Gees, I had ordered the new Honda off-road bike a year and a half ago, and when it was finally available I didn't have the scratch, Bummer. (about $4500) I still want that bike. Anyway, you are Obviously having Good Times during the best weather Montana has to offer, and I am planning to make the trip next summer. I just came back yet again from another Parashant Journey and I leave again in a week. I will send an email today. Funky Music while riding your new two-wheeler, Love It. Great Video as usual. NICE. Vincenzo here.
Hey! Hope you find that special piece of heaven out there. That bike will let us go further when we explore those places looking for what we (and you) consider treasure.
Posting a comment real quick to say I'm jelly of your new TW! I've wanted one of those for some time but they're hard to get hold of down here. Too, I've been on a bit of a knife junket, research, etc so I've yet to catch up with LAST WEEK's Friday Surprise. Not that anyone cares but I'll get up to speed by this evening. Thanks as always for your efforts and for the inspiration you give us. Continued safe travels to you both.
Another awesome Gonagain video. Tyvvm Rick and Linda. I enjoyed seeing the tw200, that's exactly what I learned to ride on,I now have a Kawasaki KLX300, and really enjoy it as well. You 2 absolutely inspire me to do my best to thrive in this lifestyle, not just survive
I enjoyed the video, and good to see your new toy works well and gets you out and about. A video on the trailer bike rack would be helpful, my next project.
OMG! . . . Im so excited. Im commenting before even watching the video! . . . We watch your channel before bed . . . Cant tell you how many times I've complained to my lady "He needs an Enduro" . . . Nothing personal, not doggin ya for it, but I can't stand ebikes! (for real) . . . This is such an awesome development . . . Anyway . . . All the best and a few requests . . . love your vids, please make more! . . . More is better (and even more would be even better) . . . Can you also talk about your experiences in Hawaii, and your experiences flying??? . . . Thanks . . . And happy aloha Friday!
Good luck with the new bike looks like a good one. I think my nephew has the same one. I am keeping my old van going and it's 24 years old. I was a Honda Supper Sport racer back in the late 70s and 80s. Crashed at 150+ MPH one time, but am still here. My last sport bike was in 2000 a Honda CBR600F4. I plan on getting a Honda Trail 70 like I had as a kid. They are street-legal and well-built for off-road trail riding but small for two people. Thanks for the video and have fun guys.
@@gonagain It was exciting. Everything happens so fast, it's like you're seeing things in slow motion frame by frame. Full-face helmet, and full leather riding gear with boots. Only one bruise on my leg from jumping off. I hit the handlebars and rolled into the dirt. I slid 50 yards down the asphalt with my Honda 700 Interceptor. Was back racing the next day.
We do the same thing but our bike is a Ural with a sidecar. Gotta have space for all of us to go exploring. I have the leaf blower as well, but it's the same brand as my drill, impact, etc. That way, I just have the one brand of batteries. TW's are so much fun. We have several friends we get together and ride with that have them. This is another awesome video. Thank you so very much for sharing.
I'm the same age- Rick's not Linda's 29 year youth. And that Yamaha is my idea of the perfect E bike, mine is an old XR250--- enjoy and have fun, and as always a great and enjoyable video!
Montana is Beautiful!! Left my shoes outside of the camper in Yellow Stone Montana. Bear ate my shoes..... Nice TW , I owned one for about four years. Loved it! Safe Travels
Yeah, I was Barefootn' after that. Funny thing is it woke us up in the middle of the night! We thought it was the wind! Shook the camper bad.... Must have been a big bear. Next morning only remnants of a once good pair of shoes! 😕
I think you're right about that. Once we tried that wrap some dough around a stick and cook it over a fire. It didn't work so she found a flat rock, cleaned it up and "baked" the dough on that. Rolled it in butter and sugar, delicious!
pouring water on the plague on the tree , the grave marker, to bring out the words cleaner to read the waterfall is a good place to turn blue after a shower right rick and linda? on the straps on the motocycle ramp there should be a strap from the top of your trailer in the middle to the outside of the ramp in the middle for added bounce on the offroad parts and the stop and go of the street, is the rear tire on a support or is it free floating ?cant see it in the picture. the gonagain couple completed another journey for the books, thank for the view rick and linda oh and great bike ,
Oh yeah, that's snow melt and it will freeze you! I added a strong clamp that supports the rack at the hitch and I run a strap from the trailer to each side of the bike rack. I've had a problem with the rack before and I think I've got it secure now.
Excellent pick on the Yamaha, those are awesome trail bikes! That is the one I would get too. I'm not going to be doing anything any time soon, because I fell off a ladder, installing new solar panels, and broke my leg in three places.
@@gonagain Thanx. I got a wheelchair, and I'm getting around a lot better than I thought I could. It's gonna take some time, but I will bounce back yet again! I didn't bounce when I hit the ground tho that was definitely a hard thud...
“Bad Boy” you mean “Bad Influence”, now you’ve got me thinking, I need to take a look at one of those. 65 mph should keep you out of the grizzlies clutches while riding around the “Bob” (just barely😂) spent many years fly fishing (before the movie came along and changed it😕), fished a lot out your way, built my own cane rods and tie my own flies, hope you continue with it. I was on a trip to Missoula when the movie first came out so my buddy and I went to see a matinee there. There were just a few other people mostly older couples which got me to thinking, “I wonder how many of those people knew the author of the book”.
I've been enjoying the fly fishing, but I have a lot to learn! The TW200 is working out great for us and we just got back from another short trip where we got to put a few more miles on it in the mountains. Thank you for watching, TangoBravo!
I bought a TW when I was 60, loved it! But, I took a bad fall on Imogene in Telluride, going 15 mph... I sold it shortly after because I can't afford to get hurt. It's been 2 years since I sold it, I still wish I had it, lol. I fell on a short rocky hill at high altitude, the carb choked and it died on the middle of the hill.
I too own. TW200 😮 Mine is Blue n White with a windscreen, $300 add on cargo rear rack with ROTO PAK for Gas ⛽️ and the $300 upgrade Kick starter. I too have either on the back of the RV on a custom rack or in my 6x10 cargo trailer. 😊
Then you know how versatile the little bike is and we like it. I put on a longer shift lever, raised the handlebars 2", added the saddlebags, skid plate and handgrip guards. I think it's done, for now anyway.
So how much weight did you have to add to the tongue of your camping trailer to offset the motor bike weight at the extreme rear of your camper. I always worry about the tongue weight to eliminate the chance of sway. I know that the longer and taller the trailer the more sway is possible and the old saying is the "Tail wags the dog." And as always a great video.
The axle on our 10' trailer is pretty far back. We have 2 propane tanks on the tongue that are usually full and inside the trailer we moved a 5gal jug of water to the very front along with some other heavier items.
Like your new bike. I just made a receiver hitch to carry a 1974 Honda XL100. That was quite a job. Used all repurposed materials except for the receiver tube. We have a 7x12 cargo trailer, that we pull behind our camper, but it is full, so I needed a way to hall Linda’s little bike. We really enjoy your videos. We are about your age, live in Nebraska. Did you have someone install a receiver on your trailer?
I installed the receiver, which I bought off of Amazon. I just shot a video about that and about the mods I made to the carrier. I covered proper loading in detail and you may find it interesting. Watch for it, ok?
The grave marker would not go higher as the tree grows up from the top, not the bottom..The tree will thicken at the sign placement, but not go higher..
Like the new bike. About 4 years ago you did 2 or 3 videos about locks for the trailer (doors, wheels, tongue). Are you still using those locks and would you do an update? Any new ideas about locks.
I'm still using the Proven Industries ball hitch lock and I would still be using their wheel lock except that I put on bigger diameter tires and now it no longer fits. I highly recommend their products.
Rick just a technical question. Why on earth dont you have off-road tyres on your cargo trailer? Yes they aren't drive wheels but the extra tread and heavier sidewalls would help with preventing sidewall damage in particular. Am not sure In the US but In Australia you can definitely get smallish off-road tyres ? That would largely eliminate one of the vulnerability factors on your travels.
We took that off the back of the trailer and went to a pick up truck to carry the motorcycle. The carrier itself was not made for the weight of the bike.
I have a 6x10 cargo trailer conversion also. Did adding the additional weight to the back change the towing characteristics? Did you have to increase the tongue weight? I am thinking about adding a small motorcycle to my set-up (TW, Honda Trail 125 or Monkey) I had a TW before, great bike.
The axle on our trailer is pretty far back and we have 2 propane tanks on the tongue. Inside we have power station, water and other heavy items up front. We just shifted some weight around inside and don't store much in the back part.
I'm monitoring that rear hitch very carefully and so far it's holding up well. Here's a video I did on installing it: th-cam.com/video/gFcAQKQHbqk/w-d-xo.html
To old for motorcycles, I’m 67 , eBike is all I can handle, nothings safe tho, I’d prefer 4 wheels on the ground, utv maybe? (Yes, hauling those MPG down. a motorcycle is safer than an eBike ? Hope nothing ever happens, you’re now like family.
Hey! New subscriber here… I just want to say.. you guys are awesome! I’m lovin the adventures .. the wealth of information and the positive vibes.. thankyou… I was wondering how it feels with the bike mounted to the rear of your trailer.. I always thought it was maybe not so good to have that kind of weight in the rear for fear of “fish tailing” I’m looking at converting a 5x8 cargo and was uncertain about having my water tank and heavy 60 quart fridge/freezer back there.. but then I saw your video.. any thoughts are much appreciated.. safe travels ~>>>
We've moved the interior weight around so more of it is at the very front to help the tongue weight. And a heavy power station, 5 gallon water jug, etc are located up front too. We'll be putting out a video on that subject soon.
@@gonagain Thank you I just bought a 6 x 10 for 550.00 it has flats so I need to buy tires to bring it home. I am a single senior female on a 0 budget. So I don't want to by tires twice because I didn't get the right ones.
Hey, trees don't grow that way - I"ve seen barbed wire grown into a tree but not raised up in the air as the tree grows. Love the videos. We were in MT back in June and love it there - 3 trips in 18 months.
Yes, it is a common mistake to think something nailed to a tree will lift up with tree growth, but tree trunks only grow bigger in diameter.
Oh, you're right about that! It's just strange that it would be up that high on a tree.
Good choice I have been riding motorcycles since 1971 and have two road bikes at the house but rode offroad for maybe 25 years, its a good way to get way back in the woods, love that waterfall boy I sure am jealous

pouring water on the plague on the tree , the grave marker, to bring out the words cleaner to read the waterfall is a good place to turn blue after a shower right rick and linda? on the straps on the motocycle ramp there should be a strap from the top of your trailer in the middle to the outside of the ramp in the middle for added bounce on the offroad parts and the stop and go of the street, is the rear tire on a support or is it free floating ?cant see it in the picture. the gonagain couple completed another journey for the books, thank for the view rick and linda oh and great bike ,
Oh yeah, that's snow melt and it will freeze you! I added a strong clamp that supports the rack at the hitch and I run a strap from the trailer to each side of the bike rack. I've had a problem with the rack before and I think I've got it secure now.
Y'all are even good looking when you were younger 🤩😘🥰 What a cool drone & the bike will come in handy for sure 👍🙏❣️ Iris and Little One 👋🐾
Montana is beautiful. Kool bike 👍
Great addition!!! 🐾🙏🏻✌🏻🤙🏻
Hi Guys, bet that waterfall is awesome at the height of spring runoff. Best Wishes
Thank you.
Excellent pick on the Yamaha, those are awesome trail bikes! That is the one I would get too. I'm not going to be doing anything any time soon, because I fell off a ladder, installing new solar panels, and broke my leg in three places.
Mark, I'm sorry to hear about your leg! I hope that it heals well.
I worked at the Yamaha shop 7 years, nice bike.
A new TW! Cool. I hope to run in to you on a Nevada/Utah trail somewhere. We'll do a little exploring.
That'll be nice!
Tdub is a great bike! I really enjoy mine.
Thanks for sharing, we do have to be very careful when riding.
I too own. TW200 😮
Mine is Blue n White with a windscreen, $300 add on cargo rear rack with ROTO PAK for Gas ⛽️ and the $300 upgrade Kick starter.
You guys behave on that bad boy!
Haha, we'll try!
I think John Davis owned a trucking outfit in Fairfield Montana
The grave marker would not go higher as the tree grows up from the top, not the bottom..The tree will thicken at the sign placement, but not go higher..
Like the new bike. About 4 years ago you did 2 or 3 videos about locks for the trailer (doors, wheels, tongue). Are you still using those locks and would you do an update? Any new ideas about locks.
I'm still using the Proven Industries ball hitch lock and I would still be using their wheel lock except that I put on bigger diameter tires and now it no longer fits. I highly recommend their products.
the little drone can swim and hold it's breathe
Rick just a technical question. Why on earth dont you have off-road tyres on your cargo trailer? Yes they aren't drive wheels but the extra tread and heavier sidewalls would help with preventing sidewall damage in particular. Am not sure In the US but In Australia you can definitely get smallish off-road tyres ? That would largely eliminate one of the vulnerability factors on your travels.
Yes, you're right and even though 90 percent of our driving is on highway we do get off into some rough terrain. Thank you.
Love your videos! I’d love to try that bread recipe. Linda, do you post recipes?
Sure! Email me at mrsgonagain@gmail.com (instagram) and I will send you the recipe.
Welcome to the TW200 club.
It's a great bike for us!
If you have water that's a perfect camp site. Preferably dispersed.
That TW is a great bike for old guys...lol
It sure is.
Would like to see how you attached the bike carrier to the back of your trailer
We took that off the back of the trailer and went to a pick up truck to carry the motorcycle. The carrier itself was not made for the weight of the bike.
I would love to see someone filter that water and make coffee with it.
It's not a good idea to sit your helmets on the ground, you never know what insects might get in the lining. I always put mine on the mirror.
Which video was it where you showed how you made your cookstove as a drop in?
Try this link for that video on the stove:

@Gonagain what kind of firearm and ammunition do you carry in the Grizzly bear country?
You need a winch for cycle, pull it onto the rack
We've thought about that. We did better the last time we loaded up. Thanks for the suggestion, appreciate it.
rick, what did u do to reinforce that back hitch, to haul ur motorcycle carrier ?
I'm monitoring that rear hitch very carefully and so far it's holding up well. Here's a video I did on installing it: th-cam.com/video/gFcAQKQHbqk/w-d-xo.html
To old for motorcycles, I’m 67 , eBike is all I can handle, nothings safe tho, I’d prefer 4 wheels on the ground, utv maybe? (Yes, hauling those MPG down. a motorcycle is safer than an eBike ? Hope nothing ever happens, you’re now like family.
Welcome to the family! It's always heartwarming to hear that, thank you.
I guess they say that you need Hand grip Guards and a Skid plate😮
Yes and that's the first two things that we installed. For being so well constructed, the TW has a very thin skid plate!
Hey Rick and Linda, what type tire do you have on your trailer?
Right now they're Goodyear Endurance but we're getting ready to replace them with something else. Not sure what yet.
Thank you
what tires do you run on your trailer
They are Goodyear Endurance tires but we're getting ready to replace them soon, not sure with what yet.
@@gonagain Thank you I just bought a 6 x 10 for 550.00 it has flats so I need to buy tires to bring it home. I am a single senior female on a 0 budget. So I don't want to by tires twice because I didn't get the right ones.
Linda, Is there any chance you might share your cottage cheese bread recipe? Thanks!
Sure! Email me at mrsgonagain@gmail.com (instagram) and I will send you the recipe.
Linda's biker babe!
