I think it’s a good idea to keep posting these tips up, because so many people still don’t know about these hacks, even those who have crocheted for a long time. I’ve use these for a years now, but I always wished I had known about these tips when I first started out, it would have saves me so much frustration lol 😂
I've been watching your tutorials playlist all morning and have learned SO MUCH!! Been crocheting for years but your videos offer tips I haven't found anywhere else!! Thank you!!❤
This is so wonderful. Where have you been all my life? I couldn't tell how many times I have started over with my chains. This is fantastic! Thank you! 🌍☮️🌲
I’ve never thought to simply undo the slip knot and remove extra chains like you show! I did know the adding to as far as chainless foundation style and the chain was new to me. I’ve been crocheting for 51 years now and I strive to learn new things in crochet so thank you for this!
oh my god! your channel is my new favourite crocheting channel!!! I usually cant stand watching through video tutorials (I have ADHD please don't judge me xD) but somehow I LOVE yours! Thank you so much!!!
@@PlayHookywithMe @ 3:00 you added 2 foundation double crochet stitches, which are sitting above the original row/ 1st chains. Does it need to be attached to the slip knot?
@@4x4kindagal ahhh, I see, thank you. No , it doesn’t technically need to be attached to the slip knot but what I would personally do is undo the slip knot and weave the end through to the new double crochets. If it scares you to undo the slip knot then I would still weave the tail through to the beginning of the new stitches . Hope that makes sense.
What to do then we've got 9 rows of double crochet but after each 2 is colour change ? Is this method also ok in that case? 😅 First time making crochet hat and after making so many rows I thought maybe I should have used different material of yarn but want to make something with what I have already and thought about making a bag from if but I need more lenght to it 😢
It will be a while until I can make that video so maybe I can help you right now. What are you having difficulty with? How to understand the numbers? If so, it’s a lot easier than it seems. If you see something like 6+ 2 , you’ll make your chain by groups of 6 until you reach the width you want for your project. 6,6,6,6…. And at the very end of that , then you’ll add 2 more chains. Then just follow the next part of the pattern. It will tell you what to do next. And it’s always like that. So even if the pattern says 8+ 4 , you’d follow the same order. Make your chain using groups of 8. 8, 8, 8 … then when you reach the width of your project add 4 more chains. It’s a good question and I will definitely make a video in the future but I hope that helps for now. ❤️
Thank you for your help! How many foundations chains should I have at the end before turning my work? Say if it's 6+2? I used this method to crochet an edging for a kitchen towel. And it's not coming out correctly. It's a flower edging and the video is in Russian? Here is the video....th-cam.com/video/J2DeyethPRs/w-d-xo.html so you get an idea of what I'm doing? I want this specific pattern, and can't find it in English anywhere. Thank you again for your help.

When uou finish adding chains do you then pull the tail thru the last *first* dchain to reconnect the tail ?
Can you direct me to which part of the video you are referring to? Time please. That way I can better answer you .

Hi Sonia, do you mean to make those 9 rows longer? Yikes , I think you might have to just start over . 😩💕
@PlayHookywithMe thnx for the answer. 😢💕
Can you do a tutorial for beginners regarding foundation row multiple of 6 + 2, or 8+ ? 9 = ?, etc, single, double and triple crochet? Thank you.

Is there a way to do decreases or increases??
Possibly … but I’m not aware of a generic solution that would help many scenarios 🤔
🤩🤩🤩😍😘
