Physics and dynamics tuts are so very much needed in Blender. Thank you and please keep it up. I've been trying to reproduce Cinema 4D tutorials, specifically about bubbles coming out of a small opening and then floating up but I think I have pulled all my hair out trying.
I love the toturial But Everytime I try to do it with my donut it acts like liquid..... Goes completely flat It doesn't maintain it's shape I want to give it a bread sort of soft body not too soft just a little Any suggestions?
*when im working with the physics the objects dont update as it goes along the frames, as in when the second ball falls, it reacts to the physics where the other ball was at frame 1 and doesnt update*
okey i dont know if i0'm doing somethin wrong. After baking, i push play and my ico sphere collapse one over another, like, squish-plaff (lol) and they become one, the end xD. I've done this tutorial twice, first time they would deform even before touching, and now the second ball just take totally the form of the first one. Ideas? btw great tutorial
Hi, does anyone know why whenever I delete the scene and want to start again, nothing moves? I follow the tutorial exactly then delete the sphere and follow it again, but then the sphere doesn't move at all? Help with this would be great cos if I'm doing a larger project I don't want to have to start from the beginning just because I deleted an object

I agree, I love softbody animations, but it seems every tutorial for Blender only shows the basics. It is so tedious. C4D softbody is far superior and I would like to see this in Blender as well.
Actually, soft body physics works better with lower poly objects... You subdivided that Ico Sphere but I would decrease the poligons even more and with a subdivision surface, soft body would be more bouncy, squishy and fun. Try it! Physics - lower number of polygons = better physics Appearance - Subdivision surface
Fair point but from my own experience using lower poly counts has lead to weird artefacts of bending that doesn’t look realistic, but as a person with a lower power computer it is the method I use and is generally quicker to get the same quality but can take longer in some cases to the point that it’s probably evened out. All in all though this is my own personal use of it and could very well be due to my own inexperience with Blender and 3D modelling/animating. This is of course just giving my own experience. Please do not take this as to one side or the other.
Does 2.8 have a different physics system or something? Cause the settings are pretty much the same in this vid but his looks better --> th-cam.com/video/4gYsxqNJyu8/w-d-xo.html Would it happen to be because he had self collision off??
some small questions: I saw some older tutorials for blender 2.7 where they used cloth physics for... rather jiggly bodyparts... do you think in general that cloth physics are better for characters/monsters than softbodies? I would love to find out how to reproduce something like this in blender: instagram.com/p/B8d05kbKw3W/?
I appreciate that you're trying to further monetize your efforts here with the Patreon page and Gumroad, but your videos are starting to look and sound more like teasers and advertisements for your Patreon and Gumroad than what they started out to be. I understand how much work goes into making a video like this, but I feel like this is a recipe for disaster. I've been a big fan of your videos for quite a while now, but I'm starting to get the fear that we will no longer get to appreciate the same level of content you've always provided unless we're now willing to pay. There are many Blender channels that have gained success without resorting to these sorts of tactics. I'm sorry if this is sounding like a rant, but I freaking loved this channel when it first started and now I feel like I'm losing something. Look at this math. Netflix costs as low at $9/month. They put out about 1500 hours of original content alone last year (~125 hours/month), not including all the other content they carry. You're charging $1/month for Patreon to get these exclusive videos. Are you putting out 1/9th the content of Netflix (~14 hours/month)? I know a $1 isn't much, but it's just hard to justify the value. I still like your channel and I still wish you all the best of luck with your success, I'm just not sure this is the way to go about it.
The difference is that Netflix is a huge corporation that appeals with generic content, safe bets so to speak. Look at the costs of universities, they are where you pay to learn. Ducky 3D is giving you a better deal since you can learn the whole ‘course’ of these tutorials which give you a much greater insight for all future problems for free. But extra ‘tutelage’ requires a payment. He can’t do it for free. This is like telling an artist ‘it’s just drawing’. Not to mention you got your math wrong. 14 hours a month is roughly a little less than 1/100 of 1500 hours a month. But perhaps you’re still skeptical, and that’s ok. It pretty much guarantees you’re just here for freebies if that’s the case honestly. And i can understand that.
UstedTubo187 this is a full-time job for me, there is no reason to complain about my prices when I’m providing free content for you. I haven’t changed the way I make tutorials or what I make tutorials on, my past four videos are very standard to what I’ve been doing for months. I am adding on top of what I’m doing for a long time extra project files assets and things like that which cost time so I charge. If you look at communities like Cinema 4D or after affects what I’m doing it’s not novel or different. Time is money and I am investing more time I do this than I ever have.
UstedTubo187 Did you just complain about a 1$/month fee for educational content? Ridiculous. If you want these tutorial channels to stay alive and and continue to provide free videos you have to allow them to find other ways to make money than Adsense which pays almost nothing compared to the time they put in. Ignore his comment about charging money for content Ducky3D, but at the same time do not plug the patreon too much.
I definitely noticed you changed your format lately. I'm only saying something just now. I'm certainly not trying to tell you how to run your channel. Wouldn't you rather have feedback than just have people leave without saying a word? Even the person jumping to your defense said you should cool it with the Patreon promos. I like your channel for your particular artistic style. There are tons of Blender channels that give the entire tutorial and don't just tease their Patreon content. If you appreciate viewer critical feedback, here it is. If you don't, then ignore it. I did not expect people to feel the need to come to your rescue, as if you actually needed it. It's just my stupid opinion. Everyone has one. I just cared enough about your channel to actually give it to you.
Clicking the download button is free, learning how to make this stuff and providing tutorials and files takes a lot of work and time, so I’m going to charge
