There are many instances, one of which, I was feeling my lowest at about 3AM one night, the next day my mom asks me "Did you call me yesterday?" I said 'what, when?' she said "not sure, I heard you calling my name at maybe 3-4AM". This happened multiple times. It hurts so bad to lie to her and say that her intuition is wrong, but it is better than sharing my dark side with her, for I know she'll carry it as much as I do.

To other people he can be really toxic, he just has such a big hatred for the world and especially for himself, cause people did him wrong many times. People just don't realize how much of a loving and caring person he is, which I really wish I could change. There are so many things he has to deal with, so much pain in his life, but he covers it up and says he ain't gonna complain. He doesn't let anyone help him and says the only way I can help him is to not worry, that he'll be fine.
To other people he can be really toxic, he just has such a big hatred for the world and especially for himself, cause people did him wrong many times. People just don't realize how much of a loving and caring person he is, which I really wish I could change.
He doesn't talk about his past, he hates doing that, says the past is the past and he can't change it. He just drinks to forget, to make it all stop hurting for a bit.
The fact that we live far apart from each other makes it even worse. I can't hug him and make him feel okay, I can't run after him when he says it doesn't matter, and it hurts so damn much.

But since you are a quiet person who hates arguments, you just eat everything inside you and never talk about it. Your bond is strong, but since the trust is not there, even the smallest things she does are extremely hurtful.
You decide to keep your distance for a while because the dependence on her is extremely stressful and you have to learn to cope on your own first. During this time you unexpectedly get serious psychological problems, where you seriously question your life.
