Gearing up my Black Mage in end game, and this is so very true. I just put up Ley Lines and have less than 10 seconds on Umbral Fire. I ain’t moving, you tell that boss to just put his mechanic some place else.
Root and nuke was a viable mob handling tactic in Everquest, in ffxiv it is something you do to yourself as a black mage. Root yourself so you can nuke.
I was trying to give some tips in Dun Scaith for the daily alliance raid the other day after a wipe when a ninja in the group legit gave me the “you don’t pay my sub”. That ninja might not have been a 12 year old, but he definitely thought like one.
Dragoon: “I’m rarely the floor tank anymore. Thanks to updates in ShadowBringers my jumps have been fixed and I’m an incredibly well-rounded versatile DPS and thus will be respected!” Fandom: “Your wife left you. Floor husband.” Dragoon: “I asked for too much.”
well the title floor tank was giving to dragoons much earlier than ff14 so i doubt it would ever go away^^ just embrace it. you can always say sorry, if you didnt manage to tank the floor correctly :p

@@WhiteVampire888 literally witnessed this in pf yestersay, we kept wiping so the tank started calling out mechs. After 4th wipe the scholer told them that they're "annoying asf" and should "stfu and do the raid or leave"
First mistake of playing with any group online is to stick around after clear communication issues. I don't like it when I feel like all of my words are completely useless so I'll just leave with no warning and find a different group thats much better at communicating. Youre not obligated to stick with any party!

Don't forget the constant questioning of "is it True North or Boss Relative?" for spread/clock/Protean spots despite it having been like 3 hours and that question having been answered at least a dozen times.

Think of boss fights as a script, there’s a certain script you need to follow (which are mechanics) they are usually easy enough to follow, but for the harder content like savage raids they tend to go like the video does
I felt fucking terrible the past week or so trying to learn the new SMN. Died constantly to basic shit because I glanced at my bars for a sec. Only saving grace is I can basically muscle memory all my utilities and can actually put them into rotation now with the new SMN not being so restrictive
I was legit expecting Warrior to respond with "AAAAAAARRRGGGHHH-" Since you know, he has that stereotype reputation of being a healer tank, that he might as well be immortal.
The Scholar bit totally got me though I main WHM. Im so looking forward to Sage. Tbh I chose conjurer simply coz it sounded the most druidry. Aaaaaand now im a healer stan. Who knew. You wouldn't catch me dead healing in WoW. Then again I mained tank... oh no.
