There is one from Normal mode with Honey B Lovely, the first time someone is charmed, the announcer says "Alas, her charms are not to be denied". Awesome though
yeah i had to spam the normals for a while on tank trying to get a group that didnt need the healer lb or had a dps blast it just so that i could use it at the end and with enough time before the boss died that it would trigger
@OkamiG15 I can't say for certain, but I know I've heard the DPS line a few times when doing M1S with my FC. Surprisingly not the Healer line, but I think he has to had not said anything for a while to allow a voiceline to come through. Probably an internal cd to prevent voicespam and him becoming annoying.
It's an interesting difference between how the different VAs played the role for these lines given different regional takes on the presentation of pro-wrestling and how they've been historically commentated for the crowd. EN is going for more of a theatrical master of ceremonies approach, fitting for how the style developed from early 20th century carnivals and travelling shows. JP is straight out of a modern-day puroresu show, big energy calling out the most important spots of the match, with signature moves and names in English. Both work well for the language they're being used in. Great work from both VAs.
These voicelines distract me, because every time I hear them I have to imagine a 3 foot tall potato saying them. How am I supposed to focus through the laughing fit???
Just learned that Honey B. Lovely also says "What? No one rejects me... No one!" which happened after the 2nd beat in normal, think you need the party to not get hit by a stray heart for the entire of the second beat
edit - check here for lines i missed like a moron: Honey B. Lovely Charm: th-cam.com/video/VSYi932Pqc4/w-d-xo.html Brute Bomber Enrage: th-cam.com/video/epZD5dXoGlQ/w-d-xo.html
@@spiritmuse The way he says "The scoundrel!" in the EN dub makes that line read so much better. The way he vocalizes pain during the "hit by attack" voice lines as well-- he just sounds so genuine like he's clearly loving the fight himself.
EN Metem sounds more like how announcers in places outside the US sound like. Yelling every line isn't that interesting (like what the JP one does). Plus the JP lines are very boring when you actually translate them vs the English lines, especially the savage lines. JP VA is doing the same exact delivery for every line, it's rather bland.
@@LZ02-OVERTURE Makes sense that he doesn't sound American, since, well, his VA most likely isn't. Only Tural natives have American accents, but Metem is an Alexandria native.
I always loved how the english va screams "MY RIIIIINNNNNGGG!" They did a great job making it feeling/sound so personal.
big "MY CABBAGES" energy

man i knew id miss something lmfao oh well i got the important ones x)
I'm surprised that they came up with LB3 dialogue for all 3 roles, especially a tank. Makes the fight feel more alive.
Shame that he never says it during the time everyone uses lb3 in savage, i love that line but i'll never see it outside this vid

I simply CAN'T hear the "...aaaaand unleashed a new feral soul!" line without also hearing "HIYAHHHHH!" in my head hahaha
at this point when i listen to music from xiv my brain autofills the mechanic sfx and voicelines for me and torments me x(
man we gonna miss metem when the entire raid tier is over :(
Plot twist, metem is the main villain D:
Lalafel allegations = unbeaten
These voicelines distract me, because every time I hear them I have to imagine a 3 foot tall potato saying them. How am I supposed to focus through the laughing fit???
English Is just superior lmao. He's such a hype man
"My riiing!" kills me everytime haha
3:10 Eventually the writers will have to explain why the First and Alexandria know about tonberries.
If this is the first tier, I can't wait to see the next two
Also, I preffer EN lines, they're funnier to prog with, but both are good
Just learned that Honey B. Lovely also says "What? No one rejects me... No one!"

thank you!!
Both are great!
I think both of them do an amazing job, but I love EN Metem's lines so much. The delivery is so good 🤣🤣
The 'Extended Fight' dialogue always seems to coincide with the 6min pot window.

Brute Bomber Enrage: th-cam.com/video/epZD5dXoGlQ/w-d-xo.html
There is also on M3S's enrage cast. Something along the lines of "Brute Bomber is getting desperate"
@metaboi488 MAN i dont know if i even have an enrage pull saved somewhere ty tho
In M2N, Metem supposedly has a different line if no one get hit by any hearts.
Good luck finding a group that can do that, though...
E G A D S
Merem is the greatest hype man in history
JP Metem sounds like a proper announcer should: An energetic announcer who can bring the hype to any fight
EN Metem sounds like Richard Hammond
Personally I like that EN Metem doesn't just yell every line at the top of his voice, that would get tiring fast.
