When I stumbled upon the Taurus G series, I was actually looking for a Glock. That was during the plandemic, I found the G3 which in my opinion was an inexpensive G17. After falling in love with it, I bought the G2c and when the G3c was announced I pre-ordered it. My lgs was so impressed they sold me one at their cost. After almost 2000rds and 0 malfunctions I trust it with my life daily.

A Glock is like a Honda. A Taurus is like a Hyundai. Glock has a better repuation of reliability but Taurus has gotten better over time and they have a lifetime warranty along with more features for the money.

This is exactly what I did sir, bought 2 of these brand new G3Cs instead of one Glock. Out of the box I cleaned them twice, polished the feed ramps with Flitz, QTips, and Dremel, and cleaned and oiled once again. Shot for the first time yesterday, 50 rounds of 124gr FMJ and 19 rounds of 124 JHP (per gun) -- ran flawlessly.

I have both taurus and glock 26 definitely doesn’t do anything better than the glock or is better. But it is a good gun especially since you can get them for $230 at most places. I wouldn’t hesitate to bet my life on a g3c or g2c but its not better than a glock. I would say its the best affordable ccw pistol

Bingo, on every point you made. I too have both guns, but my Glock is the gen 5 G19 (mos). My g3c is better for every reason you mentioned and was half the price. The grip is grippier, recoil impulse is smoother, slide racks easier, I personally think the trigger is better, and let's not forget the sights are metal. All this for half the price of the g19.

Man I've said the exact same thing several times. I'd take the grip, accuracy, looks and recoil Impulse of my G3 and G3C over my Glock all day long! I can shoot groups with my G3 that are insane, and at distances well beyond the norm for self defense training. My Glock is accurate and reliable of course but I've also put tons of ammo through all of my Taurus pistols and I've had zero issues ever.

I would like to shoot one of these. I would like to try several. The G3C, I have heard of a GX4. I like "Micro"-smaller pistols as I print very easy. I would love a Sig P376 that felt like a medium or full size. I have serious weakness due to post traumatic & surgical injuries. I think size, the ability to manage the pistol-I do not want to shoot something I can not handle with confidence or is uncomfortable. You mentioned external safety`s. On certain pistols I would like one. I like the safety that is slightly recessed into the pistol. I have an external safety on my Taurus TX-22. They are made with or without. I simply ignore it as I only use my (2) 22lr pistols for range time. My 9 mm pistols do not have them. I would like a small / compact 9 mm with an external safety. This would allow me to feel more confident, in the event I were to carry it in a bag, pocket, ankle holster-or even a belly band. Sometimes I am not comfortable with my 9mm not having a safety for several reasons. Great video, Thank you, God bless.

I'm at $400!! The g3c cycles hollow points flawlessly for all the haters after upgrades and the trigger pull is also way better after upgrades. So many more reasons why g3c is better. I have the Taurus G3 model without the external safety, which is exactly what I wanted. An external safety for me is only good if it’s ambidextrous set up. Well for the price point it’s a good pistol, the trigger has so much slack take up in it that it makes the breakpoint almost all the way back to the rear of the trigger guard. I replaced the factory front sight with a night sight. I think they feel better in the hand than a Glock, but I don’t know in terms of long-term reliability which one is better. However, I’m guessing the vast majority of pistol owners never shoot their guns enough to wear out a pistol.

I have purchased my first 9mm guns this Spring (only had a Ruger 1911 .45 before). First was a S&W Shield Plus, then a G3C, then a Glock 26 Gen 5. In order of preference I say it is the Glock, the Shield, then the Taurus from best to worst. They all have their good points; the Glock feels the best and shoots the smoothest. The Shield is the best for concealed carry due to the thin profile and has the grip texture I like best. The Taurus also fits great in my hand, and came in at the best price by far. ($539 Glock, $449 Shield, $209 on sale for the G3C.) I hate the trigger on the G3C; I plan on changing that out. The other two will stay stock. Overall I am very happy with all three purchases, love them all for what each is, and would trust each of them 100% in a self defense shooting situation. Figure out what you like, and go with your gut feeling is what I found to work for me. Thanks for a thought provoking video!

With a glock you buy once and you cry once, with the cheaper guns you don't really know how they can hold up. Like canik for example, the mc9 isn't the only model that has a problem. Lots of people are experiencing problems with their other models after putting 1000 rounds through, even hears people putting 400 rounds through and are now having problems with them. Guns aren't operating systems that need to be updated all the time... Glocks have been proven over the years to be reliable, so for a 1st gun a glock would be the best choice. For 2nd guns or guns for the range you should try other brands but for a do it all with years of testing... Glocks should be a 1st and not just for beginners... Everyone should have one in their collection. Lots of people bad mouth glock but every brand tries their best to compete with it and for a reason... Everyone wants to be king...

That is my main issue. Nothing is exceptional about Glocks and definitely they are not "perfection" out of the box. The G3C will serve just as well for much lesss money and I think it feels much better in hand. The finish is pretty bad on the Taurus though, and should be better.

The frame pins walk out even on a new G3C. The slide slams forward when you aggressively tap in a mag. Not all but some of these need the ramp polished to accept hollow points. The plastic internals degrade the trigger pull but Lakeline LLC sells stainless steel recoil springs and firing pin retainers (great upgrade). The finish wears out very quickly. It’s prob not going 50,000+ rounds like a Glock.
That said I love the G3C. I carry it because it’s stone cold reliable. I’m not worried about it if it gets sweaty, or in the rain or salty conditions on the beach.
It’s definitely a Hyundai but it works. It’s hard to get past the reputation of Taurus but it’s hard to argue against the G3C.

i have the taurus g3 (not C) and a 43x. i love both of them. but the trigger, while better than most glocks, is not as light as the g3.
i also have had 1 malfunction every 50 or so rounds on the 43x, after about 700 rounds its beginning to break in, become more accurate, and i havent had any malfunctions in a while. i have about a thousand rounds through the g3 with not a single malfunction, but i can tell its WELL broken in. as if its wearing out faster than the glock does. the sights on both arent great. ive upgraded the glock to tru glo sights and the taurus i eventually wll upgrade to a red dot slide. i regularly shoot them side by side and the accuracy between the 2 is identical. some of the things you mentioned i was shaking my head so hard at. such as the safety. to be fair ive seen people complain that the g3 HAS a safety but its such an innocuous issue you can just never use it if you dont like it. i pocket carry the 43x EVERY day and i take it to the range every friday. i handle it loaded often and i just know to never mess with the trigger. not having a safety is a total non-issue.

Shoot a taurus 15,000 rounds and shoot a glock 15,000 rounds. You'll find out quick which one is killed!
Glock is from a era when pistols were built to last a life time. Now a days manufactures only care about a gun that makes it through the first few hundred to thousand rounds. That's how many rounds most guns will be shot through their lifetime.
A quick seach of extreme high round count pistols (50,000+) will show you a pattern. It's almost all glocks.
After shooting 15,000 dollars + in ammo from a pistol without issues the extra 250 bucks you paid goes out the window.

@Flaco817 Glock has been around longer then the current Taurus company. But that gun is better than a Glock 26 by far hands down. And Taurus is used buy police and military all over the world. Spain Brazil Saudi Arabia are just some of the countries that use Taurus. Taurus started off as a small Gun Company making crappy revolvers. But now they make high-grade weapons for militaries all over the world. They even make rockets and Rocket guidance systems. They make a machine gun and rifles we just can't get them here. The problem is that Glock Fanboys like yourself can't fathom anything other than a Glock. When it's literally the most outdated polymer frame Striker fire there is.. my Taurus has 6,850 rounds through it without a single malfunction. My 1100 Sig was malfunctioning straight out of the box I was getting jams it worked itself out but the Taurus has never jammed. My high-end 1911s wood jam from time to time but the Taurus never jams I have a nice Beretta and once in awhile I'll get them malfunctioned. But the Taurus keeps running. I've fed all kinds of ammo through my G3C and it hasn't had any problems. I was concerned about reports that it had trouble cycling hollow-points, so the first thing I did was take it straight to the range right after buying it (did not clean it, did not lubricate it) and fired a couple mags of HP through it (two different brands), and it had no trouble at all.

All you need to do to make your Glock better is a handle it grip and a red permanent marker to color in the white dot on the front sight honestly it really helps and I call it my hillbilly Red Dot😂😂 hollows over balls 24/7 funny you talk about glocks no manual safety. My first gun( even though i was a glock hater) was a glock 43. Next to the m&p it fit my hand the best. I was nervous to carry one in the chamber appendix. So the first day i carried a empty gun. Just to see if i would even like it. The next day i loaded the mag carried it. Then the 3rd day i put one in the chamber and proceeded to drop it because glocks stippling sucks.(handle it grips are amazing) but it didn't go off so i stuck it in my holster jumped up and down like a fool. That satisfied me enough that the jewels would be safe!!!

Kind of want to try the other one as well.

The g3c was the first pistol I owned when I moved to a free state I was pretty broke wanted something I could defend family home right away. It’s a perfectly serviceable firearm. Fast forward a few years I carry the 43x. Much much better pistol. Again if the Taurus is all you can afford it’ll work but the fit and finish is laughable compared to the glock. Mine also was very picky with hollow points. I had to polish the feed ramp and chamber it helped but didn’t fix the issue. Love them or hate them glocks will fire just about everything every time. I also think the trigger on the 43x is much better it’s shorter and crisper it’s heavier but I think overall it’s a less vague trigger. Sights are preference I don’t mind the glock sights personally I know many people do. I’m not a fan boy i carry the 43x but I don’t really own a bunch of glocks there not my favorite or anything.
