Great film! Seen it dozens of times. Was my late father’s favorite movie. The video rental place he found it at (and frequently rented it from) back in the late 80s / early 90s eventually sold the VHS to him, as their records showed my dad was the only person that ever rented it!
I remember seeing this at _Cross Creek_ mall as a kid while my parents went Christmas shopping. I didn't even know a mall had a theatre until I was almost literally pushed in to see this and was told they would see me when it was over... I really enjoyed it though lol
I loved this film as a kid. Haven't seen it since. I love it when they make a film about an important but seemingly insignificant part of U.S. history.
Ottoman mixed people as they get for 400-600 years living together immigrant coming from that culture to the west ?; if they take that it could even be a funnier movie remake
