Nice video and here are a "few" criticisms.
I always took the stealth F-16 doing the bombing as an attempt by the rogue faction within the military, or more precisely, within the JASDF to use it for, well.... *stealth* purposes. I'm guessing the radars(under control of the non-conspirators) would have painted the normal F-16J but the stealth variant would escape this, so the rogue faction used the stealth F-16s but of course it didn't have visual stealth so the cameras caught it. (Edit:it also gave Arakawa an excuse to introduce himself to our protagonists and try to gain Gotoh and Nagumo's confidence by providing them with classified info)
Also, I believe the intercept scene was anticlimactic because Tsuge/rogue-faction never actually wanted to truly hurt the JSDF, only to "wake Japan up".
As for why they didn't manually look into the radar or suspected the rogue airforce base. Arakawa mentions the BADGE system, which is the JASDF direction center that handles all the ELINT, SIGINT and radar architecture, and as Arakawa said, it was compromised. So, I'm guessing, simply looking at singular radar tracks wouldn't have worked. As for "why not check the rogue airbase", probably because they didn't even suspect them/were too incompetent and bureaucratized to do anything about a "coup" attempt, or rather that's the message of the movie; that the political+police structure is so bureaucratized that it would be helpless against a modern coup attempt.
As for Japanese peace not being at anyone else's expense. Since Japan is a part of the NATO+ coalition and is deeply entrenched with the American economy, there are some debates within both Japan and other American allies that, American geopolitical interests and its actions both overt and covert are done to propagate American hegemony, so something, say like the Iraq war, though most would consider US the primary participant in said war/s, a more critical view can be also levied. We can make the argument that American allies also INDIRECTLY benefit from unjust wars, and any treaty or commercial interest in a "subdued" region can also be availed of by said allies and they're indirectly benefitting from this kind of global system in which America is using/threatening force and/or coercion.
Since you're German, I think you would know of this weird dynamic with the US. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Japan and Germany were both raked in Western media and blamed for not sending troops and more help during the Iraq war, a war that some Americans and non Americans now believe was not really stellar or "justified".
And just an FYI, Japan is no stranger to coups, infact there have been a few coup attempts in post war Japan as well. I know, saying "get therapy" seems like a logical response but Japan has a unique culture and the only phrase I could find to describe the Japanese need to fix a calcified system with force and/or violence was "passage a l'acte". I think that's what Tsuge represents, the need for some Japanese to escape a "global world order" that is not "just".

Well hello and thank you. What made you think of Vampire Hunter D? I know way too little of the franchises lore to talk about the things in it that interest me.

hmm... I didn't delete anything... I can see the comment where you said you stumbled across me just fine. It's also not marked as review pending, blocked or anything. Maybe it's just youtube being weird.
