Caterpillar 3 J D2 first start in 35 years

The motor was locked up from sitting since March of 1989 we pulled the injectors and filled the motor with Marvel oil and eventually jacked the Dozer up and put it in gear with a come along from the blade to the tracks releasing the tension every couple of days and after 7 months the motor freed up

Sounds good. A friend of mine that lives in NJ as well Michael owns Gamble Motor Parts in Middlesex. He has a machine shop. Over the years he has fixed a lot of the pipeliners welding machines. I have not spoken to him in quite a while. Anyway he has a D2 as well. Great guy and mechanic.
