Debbie Reynolds was a very likeable person. When she had her casino in Vegas, she used to hang out at the bar downstairs. She didn't drink, but she would tell wonderful ( Hollyweird) stories and tell jokes, basically party with us at the bar. Then she would say" I have to, I have a show to do" She would go off and do her dinner show, and again talk with anyone and everyone. One time my mother was tired and I couldn't find her, eventually, there she was on a bench with Debbie R. And Debbie R had her arm around her and the 2 of them were laughing about ex- husband's. They were both 2 old gals just yuckin it up. Debbie, was very caring and a hoot !!!
Great story! Thanks for sharing 👍🏼
Thank you for sharing that memory! Sounds like she was just as great off screen as she was on screen!
Yes! Thank you so much for sharing such a priceless, happy memory- and how I'm sure it just delighted your Mom
What a kind tribute to such a sweet lady. She is missed so much! Debbie Reynolds & Carrie Fisher ❤️
I loved Debbie Reynolds. Over the years no matter what hit her; that littke woman bounced back from adversity. Until Carrie's death. The unsinkable Molly Brown (Debbie Reynolds role), just couldn't come back from that. I couldn't believe all those costumes. Amazing. She was an amazing woman and mother. Those who grew up with Debbie Reynolds will always appreciate and love the role model she was for the representation that something good could come out of Hollywood. She was a little package of dynamite. When you think of her you have to smile. Thanks for the info. I would have loved to have seen her collection. I didn't know she did that. Smart woman. Too bad the Academy wasn't as smart to display all those treasures. Great job.
,
Fantastic Vlog Jordan. I met her in 1998 on the set of Halloweentown in St.Helens Oregon. The man who trained me for wrestling was one of her bodyguards and introduced me to her. She was very approachable and took as much time as she possible could to talk.
I was honored to meet her.
May she rest well forever.
I loved Debbie too and got to meet her in Las Vegas when her hotel and museum were open. She was just as sweet as could be and the museum was awesome. Thanks for coming over to my 'neck of the woods' with your walk around Silver Lake.
....I'm curious to know what items Debbie saved for herself before the auction....and what Hollywood-lore items her son odd still has.
@@glennfromthebronx her son has alot of her stuff at his home look it up on itunes.
@@elainephleps4705 yup. as per this video, Todd and his wife feature items that are STILL in their collection as part of thir weekly VLOG.
Thanks Jordan! I love this. I was born and raised in LA in the late 50's through the 70's. Dad was John Barrymore's double and he was buddies with actors like Errol Flynn, Joseph Cotton...I used to love exploring the Hollywood hills doing just what you're doing, finding stars homes and imagining what it must have been like back in the day!
Jordon, what a wonderful tour and narration! I totally enjoyed it because Debbie, was one of my favorite actresses! Why do good women; meet such horrible men? Debbie and Carrie, are missed! R.I.P. ! 😥🌹😪
Loved the vlog! The most precious thing about Debbie was the relationship she had with her daughter. Debbie was a wonderful mother and I love that about her. Thank you so much for this vlog.
Carrie's house used to be owned by costume designer Edith Head.
I remember when she owned that casino in Las Vegas. People used to say poor Debbie Reynolds when they talked about her, because they knew she had dreams, but would face a hard time. They must have known her husband was a louse and the mismanagement around her business. She really tried to make a go of it, but she didn't have the support she needed, I think it would have been awesome if her dream of a Hollywood museum of old costumes from iconic movies worked. She was a beautiful lady and of course a legend in Hollywood, and she was a good mother to her children. She should have been luckier in love, but you just never know about those things.
I believe she had more than one husband who ripped her off financially
Judy Garland let her husbands manages her money leaving her penniless also! I think Doris Day did to! They should never have allowed that! In those days woman let the man have control!
Thank you Jordan. I just finished Todd's book and I got so immersed in their lives that it was emotional. A wonderful book to Todd's Mom and sister. You do such an amazing job taking us all on these adventures and I really love all the comparison photo's you do. Helps everyone to visualize the place. Sending blessings your way and hugs to Jah.
I am so thankful that Debbie thought enough of the Hollywood memorabilia that she collected. Those items would have been lost forever without her. I wish everyone had more respect for historical items.
I am and have been a Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher fans for so many years. I was a little girl when Debbie and Eddie got married but remember my older sisters had fan magazines exploiting this event. I was a childhood singer and one song I sang was Debbie's hit, "Tammy." Thank you for this visit and I can now finish your Todd Fisher visits.
THANks Jordon , I really like your trips you take us on around Hollywood, and the insite you have about the famous actors, musicians etc... + your waiks with Jah on the sidewalks great videos.
She was such a treasure! Thanks for including all of the family. It means so much.
That was the first time I've ever heard about this story about Debbie Reynolds and Carry Fisher . I love all of the old Hollywood stories. Thanks Jordan !!
Jordan you probably won't see this because it's an older vlog but I must say that I really enjoyed it. Debbie was an amazing person and a great mom. One of my all time favorite movies was Tammy. When she sang the song in the movie it really amazed me on how beautiful her voice was. Truly a great vlog and Thank you for sharing this great story. Love to you and Jah
This is wonderful!!! Thank you for doing this video. I met Debbie briefly after a show in Laughlin, Nevada!!! She blew my mind. One of the last true Hollywood Stars of the Golden Era!!!
Thank you for posting this. I love Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. Big fan! God bless them both.
Love singing in the rain. It's a shame that the film industry, turn their backs on a museum. Had to laugh when you said "Jahs happy sniffing butts"..... 😂😂
Thanx for the video. Love Debbie Reynolds and Carrie. Always loved their relationship.
I always loved Debbie Reynolds! My fave movie of hers was The Unsinkable Molly Brown. The way she came back after the men in her life screwed her over was amazing to me. She really was unsinkable. So sad when she and Carrie passed so close together. Bless Todd always and thank you for taking me to her home. Neat!
I saw her live in Molly Brown in Detroit. She was amazing
I live down the street from her childhood home here in Burbank.
Jordan I love all these stories the wonderful and you have such a great energetic spirit we need more of that in the world
God Bless them. A brilliant shining star. Thank you for this.
I saw them interviewing her while walking around looking at it all. She was so special, its a shame she had such bad luck with men!
Debbie Reynolds .. National Treasure.
It is really cool that she collected and saved all those props. It was a great idea to do that. great vlog. ⭐️
I met Debbie reynolds while on vacation in Beverly HILLS, very kind down to earth sweet lady.God bless her
Cool video, my bestie was the president of Debbie Reynolds fan club. nice job, thanks.
+Lori Dee that's so awesome
You commented on the street’s classic name of “Rockford”. I’ve lived my entire life here in Rockford IL.
When The Rockford Files TV show was being aired I used to think it was pretty cool.
Rockford (or a Ford) is a shallow, area where a river or stream can be crossed. We live here on the Rock River.
I didnt know about the rock Ford cool thanks we can learn something new everyday
That eyeball house looks like its glow in the dark spider webs
I have been waiting a long time for this one, anything on Debbie Reynolds (my very favorite actress) I rate this 10+....I miss those two so much.
That was the house she shared with her 2nd husband Harry Karl (possibly her third husband Richard Hamlett) before the divorces. The last property she lived at before her passing was in a compound where her and carrie had adjoining properties that could not be seen from the street. The property is shown in the 2016 documentary “bright lights” directed by fisher stevens
So glad I found this vlog of Debbie’s house! I love her! So, thanks for this!
Great vlog, what an amazing story! It's always so cool when you can find a location of an old photograph like Debbie's driveway, right where she was standing all of those years ago.
I just re-watched "Goodbye, Charlie" with Tony Curtis, Debbie Reynolds and Walter Matthau. Circa 1964. Saw it at the theatre originally! Funny!
Rusty Andres That is so cool 😎 who played the parts on Broadway? I just rewatched it as well. Can't believe Ellen Burstyn was going by her maiden name. Love the theme song too!
Wow, what a great story! I always loved Debbie Reynolds. She had a great sense of humor. Thank you Jordan for all the info and hug Ja for me
12:51 I love when people do this! I could look at these type of photos all day!
To think that finally in 2022 they have opened an academy awards museum in Hollywood. I wonder if some of Debbie Reynolds collection ended up there. Look forward to visiting this museum once this pandemic dies down. Also the Silverlake locations & houses brought back a lot of memories from my school days. My husband and I rode our 10 speed bikes over that renaissance bridge a couple of times too. Great seeing Jah again on this video. He’s going to be happy to see you again after your Route 66 tours with Scott that I’m also enjoying right now. Thanks again for the great vlog. ❤️🙏🏻🐕🦺🦋🌸🌻
Still great fun to watch Jordan's old vlogs. Still interesting and this is a great one on Debbie Reynolds!
I really liked Debbie Reynolds she was a lady
If anyone ever died of a broken heart it was her,how tragic first Carrie then Debbie
God bless them both may they rest in peace
Thanks Jordan realty enjoyed the video ,hello to little jah he's a sweet boy ☺️👍❤️
Lovely Lady.
Singin I the rain is my all time favourite musical.
Also because of the incomporable Gene Kelly.
My favourite man in the movies.
Your work is so amazing!
Love the picture of Clark Gable.
Debbie Reynolds was a beautiful lady ... loved her work.
Thanks.
Great vlog, Jordan. Loved seeing Jah, too!
I have enjoyed watching this and other vlogs on Debbie Reynolds you have made. One thing that is a head scratcher are a few of the references you have made about Todd giving permission for various things pertaining to Carrie (video of house, etc.) I would think it would be Carrie's daughter who would need to give permission.
I love your vogs and how kind you are. Jah is a hoot! My mother visited her casino/museum in Vegas and was able to talk to her. She said she was such a love,y woman.
Bless them Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher . ❤️💖 . Lovely story thanks for taking us there and loved the matchups ! Hi Jeffery ! Hi Jah ! 👍🏻👱🏻🐶🎬🎥💙👻🕸👁🐾👍🏻
Oh Jordan I love you because you vlog old Hollywood and I am so happy that Debbie Reynolds tried to hold on to these things from great movies! It is very sad that a lot of sites in Hollywood were torn down and if it were not for you I would never see all the sites and places of interest from old Hollywood! I always look forward to your blogs! Thank you! I am Renee from Pa.
Thank you for sharing I love Debbie Reynolds so much and I love you as well keep up the good work you are awesome
Hi Jordan! (An interesting and informative guy)! Hi Jeffrey! (A little cutie)! And, Hi Jah! (The most intelligent, sweetest, handsome dog in Hollywood)! Love hearing about the Jahster's adventures and about the places I'd love to see someday. Great Vlogs, Jordan!
I love Debbie sooooo 😭😘 thank you, Jordan!!!!
Thanks again Lion man! Debbie Reynolds & Carrie Fisher are some of my all-time faves. So fun to live vicariously through you out in Cali! It's been thirty years since I've been there. Have great memories of learning how to surf in Huntington. And then staying at Lake Tahoe. San Fran, Pasadena, so much fun to be had in California!
Debbie Reynolds lived in a bunch of homes during her lifetime, this one is the most famous address though as it’s where Carrie Fisher and Todd spent their childhood and where many of the home movies and photoshoots were done of the children. After her separation and divorce by Harry Karl, she was essentially broke and paying off debts for nearly a decade. She lived in a rental for a while somewhere in West LA with her personal assistants/best friends before giving that up and living in her car and various hotels for a few years since she was mainly performing all over the country and Vegas. Eventually she bought a condo in Vegas and managed to buy a modest bungalow in NoHo before ultimately moving on the compound in Coldwater Canyon where Carrie resided with Billie, her daughter. Of course her childhood home can be found near downtown Burbank on one of the old residential streets, walking distance from Warner Bros. It’s been totally modernized but the old pool Debbie designed still exists with the words Aba Dabba Honeymoon on the stairs.
great job Jordan!! went to her las vegas museum years ago to see the costumes of Hollywood stars. bought bottled water with her pic on it. in my freezer!! wanted to keep it!!
Teaser alert. You always have something special for us. Enjoyed the costumes, especially the Cleopatra headpiece.
I've been to her museum in Vegas. It was a fun time. Love that stuff.
Thanks for showing this. I'm most certainlu going to miss your Hollywood vlogs. I adored Debbie Reynolds. I went to tour the Molly Brown House in Denver. Colorado I found quickly how Hollywood made us a believer in the story in the film. The house itself was so small compared to the set.
Such an unselfish actress. Great actress. I loved "Mother." Funny movie. Such a versatile actress. The architecture of the houses is amazing. Not many the same. I also love how great of a mother she was. Jah😂😂😂.... love that puppy😍😍😍😍. Thanks
Super, than you, loved it.
It's so sad that all of that can't be saved somehow but I'm glad that you have pictures of it
debbie was so talented, but I admire her strength and tenacity more than anything- she really was amazing!
You are a star! Great vlog about a wonderful lady.many thanks from the UK.

Jah’s adventure day🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾 wow she had a lot of movie memorabilia. I would like to have Dorothy's dress 👗 & ruby slippers 👠 that would be awesome 🌟 wizard of Oz is my favorite. Thanks, Jordan 🦁 let's not forget Jeffery 👋🏻
I am enjoying this vlog and Hi Little Jah! Great job Jordan!
Debbie Reynolds made an offer on my grandfather’s farm at Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia back in the 1980s. She was going to build her museum there. Sadly, my dad’s siblings wouldn’t sell to her because she wanted my grandfather’s house to live in. My aunts wanted my uncle to live in the home house.
Excellent video, moving as well with the home movies. Sad that from the sound of it Debbie's collection has been to some degree broken up and sold off. Such is the way though- with property for better or worse, we are all just caretakers of it for awhile. I like Jah- me and thousands I'm sure. You make a good team.
I love rewatching....very interesting
Brilliant as always mate
Lovely Vlog!
I did not know that Debbie collected all that memorabilia...! I often wondered what became of some of that stuff... Thanks Jordan...!
At the moment I'm on such a low income ( £ 77 wk carers allowance ) to be precise but I really enjoy the history and escapism . Thank you xxx
Great info 👍🏼 that’s stuff would be amazing to get to see
I miss Debbie and Carrie. Two Hollywood legends taken from us too soon.
Where could one view her son's films of home's contents ? Great video Jordan, as usual love Jah 🤗💕
He just made 3 new vlogs with Todd fisher,,,just great
TH-cam .... Meet Todd Fisher and Catherine Hickland
I thoroughly enjoyed those vlogs. They are a must see💞
She really was an amazing person, mom, actress, and
financial survivor. Hard to pick a favorite movie, but would have to say Tammy. Loved that she had some of the pieces from cleopatra. I have religiously watched that movie almost every night. So much steam on and off the camera. So many leading men. They did not skimp on the costumes. I follow the archeologist that has found a Ptolemy compound and they find new connections to her each year. They found 20 coins of cleopatra there. She’s not ugly, more average but such an amazing historical figure.
Excellent. Well done! I'll be back
CLICK CLICK lol. That's actually a good walk roun the loop. Now i know Debbie Reynolds colkected all that memorabilia. AMAZING. 5,0000 PIECES.
Loved. Debbie Reynolds
There is a book called secret stairs of Los Angeles or LA and it is by Charles Fleming
Hey Jordan I enjoyed learning some history about Debbie Reynolds. I did not know that history of her having the 5000 pieces of wardrobe. Very interesting. Thanks for researching and doing your vlog about her. Have a great day!!
Debbie Reynolds beautiful and talented. What a great lady.
It's funny you "Jordan" mentioned Debbie Reynolds, Unsinkable Molly Brown. I have an autographed VHS she signed. The player snapped the tape years ago, but I still cherish it now she has passed.
I miss those Ladies. Thanks so much and remember to keep that "protective layer of frost on your ice cream." ha ha ha !
Well done mate your a good Guy your blogs are getting me throw some tough times, you ever come to the UK you have somewhere to stay
I seen the coolest decoration the other day looks like ghosts or people walking by a window but it was a machine creating a shawdow on a window of a ghostly looking spirit walking by was really cool looking.
