The best thing about this anime was that they waited for each other even though it was subconscious the feeling was real they waited for each other till the end. "Made for each other"

i literally cried when i saw this scene, it was so touching and heart warming. it made me realize how lucky we are to be able to see our loved ones everyday, unlike the circumstance of Mitsuha and Taki, they can only see each other by swapping bodies and with the power of the meteor by allowing them to see each other until the sun sets.
what's very sad is that after the "half light" moment when taki was trying to write her name after she dissapeared and dropped the pen he never saw Mitsuha again in that timeline and had to live "Searching for someone" the rest of his life because in that timeline Mitsuha was dead... tho i am happy that they got to be together in another timeline
I think you've got it wrong. Taki's warning helped Mitsuha save the people of Itomori by evacuating them. He literally went back and changed the past, where the town was destroyed but its people were saved. So Mitsuha didn't die in that timeline. All the deaths never happened. They both forgot each other afterwards, but again found each other at the end.
Director said that he wasn't satisfied because the story is incomplete. Incomplete or what? You really made fall deep in depression and emotional state after watching this masterpiece. How could you not call your wonderful mesmerizing art, unsatisfied for you? 😭😭😭💔💔♥️
