@@PopGoesTheCultureTV Lol no. The earliest forms of social media were MySpace and Bebo. MySpace popped up in 2003 and Bebo 3 years later. All we had prior to that were things like forums and random topical boards. Unless you’re counting MSN and Yahoo etc but it’s still a pretty wild stretch to call anything we had back then an “early form of social media”.
And we didn't know how this would go and so he just ordered up a bunch of food and we watched the buildings come down. Thankfully, our bellies were full as we watched it unfold.
And I suppose you fasted for 3 days when the towers came down? Give me a break. They're human beings they need to eat. She was just recounting her memories of exactly what They did
Wow. I really like to Patricia Heaton up until I saw this. She was great on everybody loves Raymond and great on The middle. But this interview she came across as such a pretentious and out-of-touch b word. Thousands of people have literally died, and the things that she's thinkin and talkin about are just mind-blowing. They brought that guy to dinner and she really thinks that he's thinking about wow I'm at dinner with the cast with everybody loves Raymond.... um no. He's probably replaying his life in his mind and thanking God that he gets to be there and thinking about all of his friends and colleagues that maybe didn't make it. And then she's mocking Ray and brad for having to speak to a fan for a long time. Idk. The whole thing hits me as gross.
If you listen to Ray’s interview, he said that the gentleman actually made that joke at dinner - “everyone would believe I was really at ground zero, but nobody would believe that I’m here with you guys at dinner.”
@@natashamcglynn1995 agree. Very pretentious. Maybe she should hav taken the bus. Could have given her the time to think about how many people were suffering and frightened.
Not true. Many many people (especially professionals) were using cell phones in 2001. iPhones did not exist yet, nor did streaming - and most people did not have video on their phones. But cellphones were pretty common by then.
First cell phone call was made in midtown Manhattan in 1974. By the 1990's such devices were commonplace especially among the wealthy elite eg. the ''Hollywood'' crowd
Get real the CIA, FBI all intelligence agencies know so much if you sneeze and what direction the spores of said sneeze are are headed and at what speed and they all fell asleep on that day?
She, like all nice wealthy folk, know they are entitled. I doubt getting a plane, when no one else could, even made her wonder why - she expected it, my guess.
This is weird to me. Going out to dinner and laughing just hours later and being hopeful as the city around them literally falls. It’s almost like they were a little self centred and focused.
It is very hard to describe what it was like in the city that day. But if you have ever been to a funeral, you know that laughter can be a balm and a release when emotions are too intense. I watched the towers come down from across the river. When you are in shock, you simply try to move forward and survive. Thank you for watching.
@@PopGoesTheCultureTV yes, my mother died ten years ago when I was 15, she was 38. I understand how feelings can be different and also mould and change, but usually funerals are weeks later and you go through emotions, so perhaps this did also happen to Patricia later on. Maybe her story telling just seemed odd as rays was much more emotional. Thanks for the response
My daughter was a toddler when this happened, but I had to finish my day of work. At first I also was certain that it was an accident with a small plane. Then the realization that subways and bridges and tunnels were closed. Then I switched into total focus on picking up my daughter from the babysitter on time. I felt that was the only thing I could control that day. I walked several several blocks to a major subway station where they might have resumed service, but my train was not running, so constructing a series of train transfers and local bus routes got me where I needed to go. After accomplishing the one goal of picking up my daughter, I was truly overwhelmed. We got a snack at a small diner, and that was really the first time I saw any TV news. And then we went to the playground near the babysitter's house, and stayed there on slides and empty swings until 10pm or later. I just wanted to feel confident that bus routes would have had time to recover before braving transportation again. We escaped to the playground, so I understand why people might have escaped to laughter for relief. But the playground could not hold back the sorrow. It was everywhere palpable in the city, and it stayed for weeks, months, years, ready to return at a moment's notice when something triggered that day.
Everyone is different the way they handle trauma though. When I was 11 years old, I saw my dog get run over by a car. I was literally about six inches away (I was trying to catch him) and it was a brutal, bloody, death. I screamed and ran away, traumatized. About 15 minutes later, I was eating a peanut butter jelly sandwich, watching Little House on the Prairie, like nothing happened. I remember my sister being really upset with me, crying and saying how can you be watching TV like nothing happened? But she didn't know that I couldn't even see the TV, I only saw what kept replaying in my mind over and over. The TV was simply a way to distract myself, and the sandwich was my way of trying to return to normalcy. So don't judge too quickly, everyone just copes differently. It doesn't mean they don't care.
People still had to eat. And if you didn't live in NYC and were staying in a hotel, restaurants were the ONLY option. Don't forget, the chaos was mostly contained in the downtown area.
Ya would have lot more famous celebrities as Like mark Walburg And Seth McFarlane They would have been on flight 11 as well they both cancelled there flight at the last minute God messiah works in strange & mysterious ways Especially on 9/11/01 Shalom dove 🕊️ of ✌️ Never forget about 9/11 Gone but never forgotten
I was calm also. I wasn't affected by it, I wasn't even touched by those who were freaking out about it, I wasn't the least bit surprised. You have to put it into perspective. Or it's going to consume your life with PTSD. I prayed for it everyone in New York that day. I had the peace of God. Because it was already recorded to happen. It wasn't out of the blue. It was meant to happen. Nothing is ever an accident really
I mean were you even in New York when it happened?,or even in the crowd where people were running away from the debris when the towers fell hearing blood curdling screams all at once or witnessed people falling from buildings hitting pavement reduced to nothing? You sound insensitive and kinda of self absorbed. What’s the point on saying I wasn’t affected or weren’t affected by people who were freaking out? Or you have to put this to perspective?!! Tell to that people who seen they’re love ones die tell that to the people who seen people jump tell that to the people that were under the cloud of smoke I am pretty sure the were very calm and had so much peace 🙄.
I had to research the forecast that night and yeah there was a thunderstorm that night. To think that there were people who were supposed to fly that night but couldn't do so because of the weather, where they ended up flying the next day on 9/11 and died. 😭
Yeah rude! Stop with the criticism. If she’s has cosmetic surgery they did great but it’s her pleasant disposition is the keeps those eyes bright. You can’t get surgery for that. She’s admitted she understands this could be her last day and she’s a successful professional comedian. I think she’s just fine. Cya.
This is pretty disturbing. Reminds me of the scene in the titanic where they were parading how poor and uneducated Jack was at dinner. And who in the F WAS making any kind of jokes that day? Let alone with someone who survived that nightmare. I have zero respect for this show ever and now even worse. All she says is she was worried about her damn life.

Ray is the one who went downtown and met the gentleman covered in soot and offered to help him. Ray would more readily remember him for that reason. She did remember that he was hanging around their group that night and stayed in the hotel.
I think her mind was squarely on her children and getting back to them. A little bit of denial mixed in there as well, as I'm sure it was pretty frightening to be in New York during and right after that happened. Everyone reacts to trauma differently
She seems very detached from what actually happened..by most accounts people are in shock for days if not weeks. She makes too light of it..
Ray's account was soo heart felt, watch his next if you haven't already
Missy Belmont She doesn’t make light of it at all.
Also, not all people react the same.
@@beckigreen I know Becki, just would have appreciated a better insight as to how it affected her too. I love her..
No she doesnt
No need to criticize, this is her testimony and obviously she has a pleasant disposition which is why she looks great! Based on your response do you have a few more wrinkles and a bit of weight? Listen and if you don’t like it then tune into a different video.
There was no social media PERIOD.
Um, not correct. No social media like Facebook as we know it today, but there were early forms of social media. Thanks for playing
She was just recounting her memories of exactly what They did
Why would they not eat? What could they realistically do in that circumstance? They will just be a nuisance if they went to the site.
I agree, very out of touch!!
@@sharonhutchinson9604...no one would have cared about TV actors
Certainly not in the NY area.
Ray said that his wife and kids were in LA
she is a fantastic looking woman
She smiling way too much talking about this.
I just think she was nervous about the situation
Too flippant for me, too calm.
Maybe she is now grateful to be alive
It's weird that she said that, I also feel that today could be my last day...and I handle situations calmly. Hm.🤔
She said everybody had cellphones but that must be false memories because in 2001 cellphones were still quite new and not everybody had one.
Not true. Many many people (especially professionals) were using cell phones in 2001. iPhones did not exist yet, nor did streaming - and most people did not have video on their phones. But cellphones were pretty common by then.
@@PopGoesTheCultureTV yeah you're right actually.
First cell phone call was made in midtown Manhattan in 1974. By the 1990's such devices were commonplace especially among the wealthy elite eg. the ''Hollywood'' crowd
I got my first mobile in 97' in Denmark - by the time on 9 11 most people had mobile phones
they're celebrities. they're a little more afforded than you.
Absolute wife material. What a beauty.
Take 2
Get real the CIA, FBI all intelligence agencies know so much if you sneeze and what direction the spores of said sneeze are are headed and at what speed and they all fell asleep on that day?
How did they get flights back when all air traffic was grounded?
I feel like she is praising herself.
People with lack of empathy also behave like this.
I don't think I could've found one iota of humour on that day.
What? Ppl went out for dinner?
Can’t believe that was an option.
People still had to eat. And if you didn't live in NYC and were staying in a hotel, restaurants were the ONLY option. Don't forget, the chaos was mostly contained in the downtown area.
Ya would have lot more famous celebrities as
Like mark Walburg
And Seth McFarlane
They would have been on flight 11 as well they both cancelled there flight at the last minute
God messiah works in strange & mysterious ways
Especially on 9/11/01
Shalom dove 🕊️ of ✌️
Never forget about 9/11
Gone but never forgotten
I heard that seth mcfarland overslept and missed his flight.
This might be the most pretentious video I’ve seen and I like her as an actor
She was too flippant about 9/11.
Comes across a little self absorbed. I saw Ray's interview first. He seemed more genuine.
I could be wrong. But that's my take.
I agree
She reminds me of Jane Seymour
She doesn’t look like a Pat, Pats are usually fat and old , if my name was Patricia I’d hate to be called Pat
Yes... that's the strangest thing I ever read. Well done 🙄
Why do we care where she was. 😮
You cared enough to respond
Catherine Lee Compelling observation there, the topic piques my curiosity.
Just leave and don’t criticize! You don’t have to hate but you choose to.
Lost me at calm.
It is called “denial”
😍🥵😱😫
She sounds way too chipper recounting the events of that day!
Ya I think that’s the bottom line for me
She may not have mean't to sound chipper she is probably grateful to be unharmed
What a strange interview. She's almost jovial about the whole thing. Typical "hollywood" narcissist
The night of before 9/11. 9/10/2001 it poured like hell around 9ish pm. I remember it clearly. 😒🙄. I have my theory. I'll wait.
Something with 9’s? 1’s? Chem trails?
I had to research the forecast that night and yeah there was a thunderstorm that night. To think that there were people who were supposed to fly that night but couldn't do so because of the weather, where they ended up flying the next day on 9/11 and died. 😭
Closer!!! You don't even remember the guy who got out alive!!! Didn't sound very caring, either!!! Wow!!! 😢
How boring. Not sure why I clicked.
She has got to stop having plastic surgery
Why? I don’t see how any that she’s had warrants stopping so would be very interested on why you think she should?
David Moser You have to stop judging women.
If she wants cosmetic procedures to help her feel better about herself, it’s none of your business.
Yeah rude! Stop with the criticism. If she’s has cosmetic surgery they did great but it’s her pleasant disposition is the keeps those eyes bright. You can’t get surgery for that. She’s admitted she understands this could be her last day and she’s a successful professional comedian. I think she’s just fine. Cya.
She has the same eyes Sharon Osbourne used to have
pat was taking a massive shit on the can when the first plane hit!
these are a great idea ,well done to the creators
This is pretty disturbing. Reminds me of the scene in the titanic where they were parading how poor and uneducated Jack was at dinner. And who in the F WAS making any kind of jokes that day? Let alone with someone who survived that nightmare. I have zero respect for this show ever and now even worse. All she says is she was worried about her damn life.
