    Minus the KD Warriors… that 2015-16 season (73-9) Still matchup up with any elite team pound for pound. And that 2021 Warriors team is severely underrated. I like their odd against a lot of historic teams. In my opinion btw

      absolutely! the 15-16 team gets so much sh!t for not winning the whole thing but people act like they lost in the second round. in reality, they were a few plays away from going b2b. they defended the title by winning 73 games in the reg season! They had that target on them and still won the most games ever. Steph jacking up his knee in game 1 of rd 1 severely messed up the timeline.

    GS matches up with Detroit very well. I agree with Wallace that the series would be a tough series. And understand why he feels HIS team would win. But Green is correct GS would destroy Detroit. Now if we are Kerr. Why would we put 6’6 Green on a 6’11 Wallace who’s a known offensive force,mid-range,3’s,turn arounds,fades,dunks,the works. Even as our best defender. If Kerr is smart he places Green his best team defender along with Iggy on Ben Wallace and let them tough it out in the post,battling on defense. Saving his energy for controlling the tempo of the O as the guard-forward. Every other matchup in our estimation goes to GS, including Billups vs Curry which would also be a touch back and fourth matchup offensively. With the edge going to GS because of Curry’s skill and unlimited shooting range. It wouldn’t be easy,but lets get real. Those first 3 GS teams were incredible !! • @Kingkmf
    @Kingkmf 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    What everyone is missing is how the match up would be officiated. The 04’ Pistons were one of the last champions in the more physical era of basketball. If they are matching up and playing under the “old rules” so to speak, then I think the pistons were WAY too physical, both defensively and offensively, for the warriors. On the other hand, if we are playing under the new rules which don’t allow much physicality and gives the offensive player a clear advantage, then obviously the warriors would win that. Aside for that, it’s clear a lot of y’all just became fans of the NBA in like 2016. I respect Steph and the warriors but this new brand of basketball is essentially a 3pt shooting contest. What everyone will come to find is that, taking the defensive, mid range and some of the athleticism out of the game will make a weaker product long term.

    • @SickoRed72
      @SickoRed72 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If going by the old rules, the physicality goes both ways. Also the physicality is over exaggerated. In either rule set Warriors would smack Pistons due to being too potent on offense AND also being a great defensive team whereas Pistons couldn't even score 100 points

      @TheKidwonda 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That’s the thing a lot of people miss. The Warriors were adept at scoring at all 3 levels. Klay was the only person who pretty much lived and died by the 3 but Steph got a ton of layups. KD and Livingston lived in the midrange and iggy attacked as well.

    • @tyronerichards9792
      @tyronerichards9792 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The rules wouldn’t even matter in this matchup, because how Detroit played during that championship run defensively, they also never played against a team that was so potent on offense it’s basically a pick your poison. How Detroit played defensively wouldn’t work against the 17’ Warriors due to how much spacing they create especially with Steph, Klay, and KD on the floor at the same time. Detroit played below the 3pt line defensively and you can’t play that way against the Warriors, if they do it’s gonna be open shots all day.

    Sheed would be fine by putting hyperdunks on. Both him and Ben were incredibly mobile for bigs. They didn't get put in situations to have to guard on the perimeter but when they did they were elite at it. They both were incredibly agile and could guard. Ask Tracy McGrady.
    RIP was a fiesty animal with uncut nails that would claw and scrap on defense. Ask D.Wade.
    Draymond and the warriors perfected the new style but they didn't eliminate the 04 pistons style. The 05 rule changes did.
    Rasheed was one of the best post defenders of all time (one v one not team) and was incredible help side. He would need to change his shoes and get serious tho.

    These young dudes have no idea what they're talking about. If the Pistons had a shred of light on defense, they are definitely making it a 7 game series.
    If that '04 team had a regular season to get acclimated, they would easily have 3 dudes on that team with the ability to inprove and shoot over 35% from three. The Warriors defensively in the 04 era would not be able to hang with the violence on defense that those teams would have.
    Steph is the best player in the series, but it would go 7 to the Pistons.

    It's sad this guy plays in the NBA, from Detroit and don't know any d**n thing about how the Pistons played smh.. For one.. The era (early 2000s) at that time and now, is drastically different, defense at that time, were more aggressive still, than how it is now. Watered down a** defense these teams play, it's still a few that still has that defensive style from back then in them (Draymond has it by the way). If him and his 17 Warriors, were to play the 04 Pistons. Pistons are going to make the Warriors, play how they've never been played before. Pistons are goin to make them work hard like they've never been before. Pistons are going to run and gun that full court defense that they used to run under Larry Brown. Green talkin bout "Who Rip going to guard" dude.. You must've forgot that Rip is a good on ball defender, then he talkin bout "He don't like to check". Man STOP the cap. Rip stayed glued on his man and hand swiping his man, he averaged almost a good 2 steals a game for a short period in his career. He got at least 1 steal for majority of his career. Then he proceeds to say, "Who is Sheed guarding". Sheed was actually underrated as a defender, plus he played defense pretty smart. Green must've forgot how great Tayshaun could move his feet all over the floor, I definitely got him guarding KD "FAIR". He must've forgot how quick Tayshaun moves defensively all over the floor.. FLASH BACK, is the Tayshaun chase down block, not ticking in that brain... He also get on Chauncey not being able to guard or hold Steph.. Uuuh, you tell me is there still a PG in the league, that likes to post up anywhere on the floor. Whether if it was down in the paint or close to the perimeter. I suggest he (Green) go back and watch how a barely past their prime player (Chauncey), was busting a young Steph Curry a** in the early 2010s, who was good in his early career. In the early 2010s. So just imagine both of them in their primes, if Curry couldn't stop a past their prime player. You would expect Curry to be better, since he was younger at the time. Billups as well, going to be glued all over Curry, wherever he is going, Billups was a good defender. So Warriors best bet, is that they better bring 100s of screens (Draymond Green) to "free up as much time" as he needs. See Curry's strength is the dependence of needing screens from his teammates. Yea he can score in iso, but there were several times. He choked, when the defender gets to much to him. As for Klay.. You say Rip was what Klay is now. But really it's the other way around, Klay plays exactly how Rip played im his era. Him (Klay) and the rest of the Warriors, play like, how the 2000s Pistons used to play. Only difference is, one team uses high screen and rolls and uses more screens. And the other (Pistons) uses low screens and not so many screens. I'll tell you what. They say the 2000s Pistons whole format, were like the late 90s and early 2000s Spurs format and the Spurs were dominant and a Dynasty under Pop. So what makes, him think that they would beat the Pistons.. Just cause you got 5 rings lmao. If Pistons were to play in this era, they could win well over 4 championships.. Green was a non factor for majority of the championships Warriors won lol. The best Draymond has played in any of the Finals he's played, was the 16 Finals. I will give him the benefit of the doubt for 15 (his first).. But he was DEFINITELY non existence. Throughout all of the 2000s Pistons success. They all played highly efficient and better than Green. Even the Pistons bench played better. And that's facts. He keeps talkin bout their one ship, but based off how he expressed about the Pistons. I'm just going to say that, he didn't know that the Pistons ran it back, after winning their 1st ship. They went back to the Finals in 05. Yea they didn't win, but it's obvious that Green didn't know smh. And he from Detroit to, wow smh.
