Mack earned its tough reputation on the battlefields of world war one, and the expression, the name and the reputation, have all stood the test of time. The latest proof that Mack is still on top of its suspension game is their new mRIDE vocational suspension.
Hi, I'm trucking journalist Jim Park, here at Mack's Customer Center in Allentown Pennsylvania. Looks damn near identical to the “tuff trac” suspension on western star and freight shakers.

It’s rubber, there may be a bronze option but I haven’t seen it yet. I’ll take a Hendrickson walking beam any day over this setup.
If I could find a truck with a wheelchair lift on it. God I’d luv to get back in another Mack truck. Best truck on the road.

Have some of the potholes been asphalted to make them less drastic ? How could a mride be adapted for a tridem drive ?
+Needa Ruti ...Tridem hey ? Now you've got me thinking - it can be done and it doesn't need to be much more complicated than two suspensions working together.
Only option for tridem today is air ride, you can’t have a center pivot suspension with 3 points of contact, because your center drive axle would be directly under the pivot point. The only other option would be a slipper spring (reyco) leaf suspension with the little equalizer bars, just on 3 axles instead of 2. This would work but they’ve never made one as far as I know, likely because In a tri drive with lockers off-road traction isn’t a problem with air ride.

nice ride, but parts are way more expensive then Camel back (at least for a volvo, T ride)
Camelback suspension would beat the shit out of you !

These need bose zero g seats. As testers you guys only spend a week in the truck where is drivers spent 20 years in them
That m ride SUCKS. I sold my Mack with that suspension and bought a used Mack with camel back suspension. That’s a Volvo design I tried it and hated it.
It is just a copy of the wide better european trucks suspenssions, maybe US truck industries must go to europe to see how they design their trucks
José Concha i done a course on mack trucks last week. they are pretty much just going to use tried and tested volvo gear renamed.
José Concha I think they haul heavier loads in Europe. The camelback is wat I used on my dads logging company.
