This song is DEEP!!!! The lyrics are freaking amazing!!!! In the midst of the fire azz vocals, the instrumentals, the vibe….is a huge life lesson! Just FIRE!!! 🔥🔥🔥
This song is so cool, so utterly cool and smooth. My favorite Eagles song. I just read that Joe Walsh died like three months ago. RIP He was the guitar player with the (talk box)
@@jonathansmith3742 June 29th, 2024 at the age of 76. Ok, I asked Seri, and there were multiple reports of this. But there are also some saying it is a hoax, so now I don't believe it. I certainly hope he did not pass!
They ( Joe Walsh and Don Felder) are actually both playing Talk box guitars and if you listen close you can hear two different talk box sounds on the recording
There are so many great Eagles songs. ‘Those Shoes’ is one of my favorites. ‘Victim of Love’ is incredible. So is the acoustic, beautiful harmonies of ‘Seven Bridges Road’ - mind blowing!
The Eagles were a great 70's band with so many hit songs. They were known for their great harmonies. "Take It Easy", "Witchy Woman", "Desperado", "Lyin' Eyes", "Already Gone", "One Of These Nights", "The Best Of My Love", "Hotel California", "New Kid In Town" etc. Before they went solo they were the back up band for Linda Ronstadt.
From The Long Run album. The absolute best of the albums they have and that's saying something. I wore this one out back then. I knew them all word for word and in order.
One of the Eagles’ baddest grooves, the best song from “The Long Run”. Not technically difficult or over-produced nonsense. Love seeing you two discover it. As she points out, a great message wrapped in badness.
Heart Ache tonight co-written by Bob Segar. Glen Frye hung around Bob as a kid in Detroit, until Glens mom threatened Bob to not allow her minor to be influenced by the band.
New subscriber here. Love this song. One of the Eagles best songs. Memories of 1979, when I was 24 yrs old, single and dating a lot of ladies. Two years later happily married, now for 42 years. Semper Fi from an old Marine Sergeant
Only recent discovered the name of this song. Heard it in passing a few times over the years. It's s really good one. FYI, the end of the guitar solo is a lick also used during the solo in hotel california.
I honestly thought that 'Those Shoes' by The Eagles was only my secret indulgence. Those Shoes, Hotel California, etc. Plus tax. I tell you, if I ever had to break up with America...(Among others), I'm taking The Eagles with me..
I LOVE how Joe Walsh makes that guitar TALK in this song!! Such a legendary band....so much talent all wrapped up into one VERY SUCCESSFUL group!! They have always been my FAV band of all time!!
I love seeing you guys hearing this song like i was hearing it back when it was released. Its a badass song, and seeing someone hear it for the first time like i did, gives me a special kind of joy. Thank you!! 😊
Thank you for reacting to this one! I haven't seen many people react to it, but it's one of my favorites. Next, please do Pretty Maids All in a Row. It is written and sung by Joe Walsh. It is my absolute favorite song by the Eagles. Also, I think you might enjoy Waiting In The Weeds, released in 2007 on what I think might be their last album called Long Road Out of Eden. Just so many great Eagles songs! Even their much newer stuff is just so good!
Loved y'all's reaction to "Those Shoes" by the Eagles. Personally I have always loved hearing great music for the first time and having my mind blown while also opening my eyes to a wider scope of the music world. I'm getting to be a dinosaur now and there is so much great music I'd love to turn you guys on too, but there are so many great songs from just say the 60's through the 90's that it's hard to narrow down the selection. I'm going to try to pick up a great song for you guys to jam out to on your show. I've never made a suggestion for a song on a page before so I wanted to make sure that it was a great song by a great musician who, except for a few bad breaks, could have had a very solid Rock N' Roll career, or with a few good breaks he could have been huge. So first find an album titled "Say No More" by Les Dudek and while the whole album is pretty damn great, start yourselves off with the track titled "Old Judge Jones". If you loved those shoes then you'll love old judge jones. This is the first time I've ever seen yall's page or whatever they call it now and I enjoyed the hell out of it. I love the idea of letting others share your sometimes deeply personal experiencing of great music for the first time, for me it becomes a time capsule of a moment in time....wait sometimes a perfect moment when the universe decides to let you in on a secret. I've always been a lover of music of any genre and from most eras which is why I follow so many music pages, I want a tidal wave of musical variety to pour over me from every direction. To be washed away by waves of beautiful sound. Sorry ya'll I tend to ramble on sometimes, well actually more often than not, anyway check out some Les Dudek I think you'll dig his music especially "Old Judge Jones". Oh and on a side note Les's career was on the upswing after the successes of "Say No More" and "Ghost Town Parade", but then he started dating Cher and somewhat merged their careers at that point because Cher was already a celebrity while Les was still in the relatively early years of his career and hadn't really built up much of a following yet. I think that adjusting to a new style of music, basically a band that was the complete opposite of the band that he had started to have success with during his early years. It's slowed him down quite a bit as it did Gregg Allman while he dated Cher. Sorry but I digress I think I did mention earlier that I tend to ramble on occasion since the coma and that's strange because I used to be the quiet guy. Anyway pop on those badass headphones, crank the volume all the way to the right, sit back and jam to some Les Dudek. You'll dig it I promise. 🤘😎
For all of the wrestling fans on here, The beat of this song was used for Razor Ramon’s theme Song “Bad Boy” in WWF back in the 90’s. One of my favorite songs, and Razor was my favorite back then, besides Bret Hart and Undertaker.
I love this classic, and watching you both appreciating its musicality, along with your interpretation made me love it even more!! I have officially subscribed to your channel and look forward to watching more!!
Catching up on the vids I have missed today... I. Love. This. Freaking. Song!!!! Hubby loves it too cuz it makes me think I'm a dancer, and it gets funky up in here!! Haha!! ❤ Love you guys SOOOOO much!!
This entire album, The Long Run, was one of the darkest albums The Eagles ever recorded. The band was nearing its end, fueled by dissention, coke and pessimism. The lyrics reflected the cynical, jaded view of California night life and the corruption that surrounded them. Having said that, musically this album kicked ass and is one of my favorite Eagles albums.
One of my favorite songs by them. This song jams. Like you said, not necessarily in these words, "There are some sneaky creepy men out there looking for an innocent, naive woman. You put on those shoes, prepare to deal with consequences" I love this song, the baseline, and the drums are jammin'. One of my favorites. Thank you for posting.
That took me someplace!!! hahaha I'll tell you another that will if you can find it especially live is extremely rare. Look up Disco Strangler and give it 5 minutes of your time (and be prepared to go to that place again)
Do victim of love next, also love the dollar or cheese burger theme thats exactly what smoky Robinson used to do when reviewing motown songs to be released
Cuz I'm the high... (HIGH)... Plains..... (PLAINS).... Drifter..... (DRIFTER)... Go down to the river.... to take a REST Pulled out the pair of pliers pulled the bullet outta my chest
I know it's crazy. Don Henley needs to recognize this how is music get listened to by yt creators, so they can push the their music out there for new generation. Don is just a damn jerk.
This song is badASS. One of my favs, they had so so many.

By far my favorite Eagles song. And I have their entire catalog.
The baseline and drums just melt me!! LOVE IT!
This is my all-time favorite Eagles song
Mine is The Last Resort. No one wants to react to it
I second that
This song is so cool, so utterly cool and smooth. My favorite Eagles song.

During this song, guitarist, Joe Walsh uses a device called "Talk Box". Joe is known for the usage of Talk Box on his solo stuff.
Don Felder
No, not Felder, Joe Walsh. I read that whichever Eagle wrote this told Walsh he wrote it just to highlight the Talkbox effect
They ( Joe Walsh and Don Felder) are actually both playing Talk box guitars and if you listen close you can hear two different talk box sounds on the recording
It’s the only dueling Talk box solos ever recorded ZZ I believe
Both are playing takbox and they are saying bytts up åt the med. Felder wrote the solo
❤❤❤❤ Best harmonizing ever !! The Eagles !!
BEST BAND EVER IN MY OPINION ❤
@MrTech226, Joe Walsh & Don Felder both played guitars & use talkbox in this song.
There are so many great Eagles songs. ‘Those Shoes’ is one of my favorites. ‘Victim of Love’ is incredible. So is the acoustic, beautiful harmonies of ‘Seven Bridges Road’ - mind blowing!
This song can be played at any bar and everyone is cool with it❤❤
Yup 👍❤
YES! My favorite Eagles song 😊
My favorite Eagles song…I used to wear “those shoes” ❤

Not a great “70’s” band. Just a fantastic band period, regardless of the decade
@@BurritoLuvr One might even say one of the greatest bands of all time, period. Their music holds up as well today as it did then. Top shelf.
Their newer stuff is different but still amazing.
From The Long Run album. The absolute best of the albums they have and that's saying something. I wore this one out back then. I knew them all word for word and in order.
I saw the eagles in Greensboro nc hours of music no opening band it was the greatest concert I’ve seen. Hit after hit after hit.
One of the Eagles’ baddest grooves, the best song from “The Long Run”. Not technically difficult or over-produced nonsense. Love seeing you two discover it. As she points out, a great message wrapped in badness.
Love the bassline. Great song!
There are so many great Eagle songs.... but I think this one and "Heartache Tonight" are my faves!!!

"Victim Of Love" is a "flip the script" companion to this song. FIRE.
This is one of my favorite songs by The Eagles! Glad you did this one! 😉😁
Most people have no clue. About this amazing SONG.
My fav. Eagle song!! Thanks for loving it...
This beat was used by the Beastie Boys on High Plaines Drifter. It's such an amazing beat.
Eagles had deep lyrics. Always a new way of describing things.

I used to listen to this when I was 17 a loooooong time ago😉
Now you need to hear "King of Hollywood"
My go-to song if I need a pick me up.
Glenn Frey will be forever missed.
(And Don Henley sings the lead on this while playing the drums).
One of the best songs ever written. End of story.

Joe Walsh's solo stuff is pretty awesome too. So are Henley's and Frey's solo projects as well. Talented group of musicians.
The whole Long Road album was fire, my band used to cover 5 or 6 songs off that album back in the day, always a huge audience favorite.

Eagles is an awesome band. I like the song "I can't tell you why"
I remember this was in the 70s when feminism started so this was super important to us back then speaking from someone who was a young adult back then
This album was originally not considered a critical success but now it makes up the plurality of their radioplay and concert time out of all 6 albums
